Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 185: Arriving In Elarin
Chapter 185: Arriving In Elarin
In front of Rael were six people: Zafira, Evelyn, Aria, Linlin, Qiqi, and of course, the guy who said he wouldn’t drink, Dax. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
It took a few minutes for Zafira to wake up as she was very groggy, but after eating the food and taking the pill, she sprang up and followed him.
Nonetheless, Rael was a bit surprised to see Dax.
In the group chat, he came off as rude, and yet, he had such an innocent-looking face. In fact, he looked like someone who had just barely entered puberty.
And of course, Rael couldn’t help but call him out.
“For someone so little, you sure have a foul mouth,” Rael snickered.
Dax’s brows furrowed. “It’s not my fault both my parents are short, alright? Would you care to explain why we’re all here?”
“Sure.” Rael’s gaze landed on Zafira, who, after yawning, walked up beside him and began explaining.
“We’re going to be heading to Elarin. There’ll be a summit that’s supposed to start in a few hours, and it’s basically one giant talk between the rulers of all the countries or kingdoms. All I want from you is to just be yourselves.” Her gaze traveled to Dax as she let out a sigh. “As for you… don’t act like a brat, since if you get us in trouble, then you might end up spoiling our talks.”
“Huh? Why does everyone think I’m some sort of kid or something?” Dax asked in disbelief. “I’m turning 30 this year—”
“Bullshit,” Rael said through a cough, which earned him a glare from Dax.
“I can vouch, he’s pretty old,” Linlin chimed in. “And trust me, while he acts like an immature idiot most of the time, he’s pretty good when it comes to fighting and manipulating people. I’d know since he managed to convince me to invite him into Radiant Dawn.”
“Right…” Zafira trailed off, disinterested. “Basically, don’t do anything stupid. Rael and I will handle all the talks, and you just stand there and look strong, okay?”
Everyone nodded in unison, and finally, it was time to head out.
Rael walked out into the open, and without wasting a moment, summoned a long black SUV.
Immediately, Rael got inside, and the rest soon followed. Dax tried getting in the passenger seat, but after meeting Zafira’s cold gaze, he gave in and sat in the back with the others.
Rael checked to make sure everything was in order, and after doing so, turned to the back, glancing at Aria.
“Aria. Under no circumstances stray away from our group until the summit begins, alright?”
“Huh? But what if I want to visit my family?” Aria asked, furrowing her brows. “You know I’ll barely have enough time to see them when the real talks begin.”
“You’re a princess in a foreign land. People will want to take advantage of that fact and kidnap you for their own gain… basically, if you don’t want to become leverage, stay with us,” Rael replied flatly, then turned to Evelyn.
His gaze lingered on her for a few moments, but it was enough to get his point across.
“Sure… I’ll watch over her. You don’t have to worry.”
A smile tugged at Rael’s lips as he turned back to the steering wheel. But just as he was about to step on the gas, someone tugged at his clothes.
When he turned around, he realized Qiqi was staring at him with a pout.
“What about me and Linlin? What should we do?” she asked. “Do you want us to guard you… or maybe someone else?”
“It’s alright.” Rael brushed her off. “Your role is backup. If a fight were to break out, you’d be responsible for ensuring the safety of the people in this car. Can you do that?”
“Yes sir!” Qiqi saluted playfully and sat back down beside Linlin.
He really doubted a fight would break out in such a civilized event, but he could never be too sure.
After all, back in Sketa Online, right after the beta ended, came the four months of utter silence to the players. They didn’t know what was happening, except for the occasional change to the world map.
But even so… If I see any fuckers buzzing around us, I won’t hesitate to kill them… Or maybe invade their mind and manipulate them, Rael thought, and with that, they were ready to go.
He pinched Zafira’s cheek, causing her to turn toward him. But before she could retaliate with a pinch of her own, Rael stepped on the gas pedal, sending her sinking into the seat. The others were no exceptions as they crashed into each other, their eyes wide.
Rael’s brows twitched.
Whoops…

Three hours later.
After a grueling journey where he totally didn’t need to stop several times so the others could puke their guts out, they finally arrived.
Elarin, the capital of the Holy Kingdom, was even more grand than he expected. There were mountain-tall walls surrounding the city, multiple statues of all sorts of angels, and he could see a giant line forming at the western entrance.
However, since they were invited guests, Rael maneuvered over to the line of carriages and cut in.
People seemed shocked at what he was driving. Some even thought his SUV was a monster and readied their weapons.
However, when Rael’s gaze traveled toward them, they all recoiled.
Yeah, try to scratch my fucking car, Rael snickered as he finally arrived at the entrance for the carriages.
He drove up to the puzzled guard and opened the window slightly, then stuck his head out with a wave.
“Hey, we’re here for the summit. I’m Rael Sutekh.” Rael introduced himself, then moved over, showcasing Zafira who was holding a paper bag with a smile. “And that’s Zafira Sutekh. May we enter?”
“Uhh…” the guard muttered, glancing around. “C-Could you leave your uhh… modified carriage here for inspection?”
“No.”
The guard paused, unsure of what to do as he began tapping the air, and soon, a burly man approached, looking like the commander of the city guard.
He wore golden armor and had a sunshine crest on his chest.
The man soon stopped in front of them, staring directly into Rael’s eyes.
“A paladin?” Rael’s eyes widened. “I thought holy knights don’t do menial labor?”
“I volunteered,” the paladin replied flatly before slowly bowing. “If you do not mind, I ask of you to follow me. I shall lead you to your quarters.”
Hmm… Rael turned to the others who simply nodded, then he brought his gaze back to the paladin.
“Sure, why not.”
