Chapter 211: Transported To An Arena

“Is something wrong?” Anath asked, gazing at the approaching figure on a horse. “Is that not your friend?”

“More like a stalker,” Rael replied with a shrug. “No clue how he knows where I am, though. I made sure to be discreet while dealing with the nobles.”

“Dealing with the nobles…?”

He nodded. “Nothing to worry about. Just know that the man up ahead isn’t going to be a very fun person to be around, so when he finally arrives, I want you to get as far away from here as you can.”

“Um… but can’t we just run away? If you’re so fast, then you can definitely outrun that horse,” Anath commented.

“What’s the fun in that?” Rael replied with a chuckle. “We run here, he’s just going to chase us to another location. We deal with him now, and he’s never going to chase us again. Pretty simple logic, if I’m being honest.”

“…Very well, I’ll stay at a distance then,” Anath agreed reluctantly. “But are you truly going to take me to my father once this is all done?”

Rael’s brows twitched. Like father, like daughter. I tell them one thing, they question it fifty fucking times.

“Yes,” Rael affirmed patiently. “As soon as I’m done with this guy, I’ll teleport you back to your father. How does that sound?”

Her eyes immediately lit up in anticipation, and that was also when Reinhardt finally arrived.

As discussed, Anath hesitantly made her way back, and as for Reinhardt, he dismounted his horse and walked over to Rael, stopping just in front of him.

“Reinhardt, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit today?” Rael asked innocently. “Have you come to discuss the plan? But I’m sure you could’ve done that over text.”

Reinhardt stared at him silently for a few moments before shaking his head.

“I’ve come to ask you a simple question, and I want your honest answer.”

Rael tilted his head. “Sure? What’s up?”

“Did you kidnap my sisters?” Reinhardt asked coldly. “And were you the one who killed all those nobles?”

Rael chuckled. “Which one do you want answered truthfully?”

“Both.”

“Alright then, I kidnapped your sisters, and I didn’t kill any nobles,” Rael replied with a faint smirk. “Is that what you want to hear?”

Though, who’d kidnap his sisters? Unless the Evangelists are acting, that’d be a bit overkill… but leverage is leverage, Rael thought, gauging Reinhardt’s expression.

He was definitely agitated, but he was also taking it pretty calmly, despite it being a total lie.

But almost as if his prejudice against Rael was clouding his judgementt, he believed that Rael actually kidnapped his sisters.

Therefore, Reinhardt extended his hand in the air, and soon, a greatsword appeared that was literally the size of Rael.

And before Rael knew it, Reinhardt had swung it down.

There was a moment of time to react due to Rael being able to see one second into the future, but even so…

[HP -3.52M! 1,147B/1.151B]

His body took the brunt of the slight wind blade, causing him to stumble backward. But Rael didn’t panic in the slightest.

Instead, he straightened his back and asked one simple question.

“Reinhardt. There won’t be any coming back from this if you do intend to continue. And if that is the case, I will kill you. So what will it be?”

The lack of response, and the fact that Reinhardt had dashed in with his claymore, spoke volumes.

So without further hesitation, Rael took out the Violin Blade from his inventory and tapped the red string a few times.

The notes flew out instantly, heading straight for Reinhardt’s body.

But to Rael’s surprise, Reinhardt managed to raise his greatsword in time and deflect the notes. All except for one.

-858M! Critical Hit! (1x Crystal Violin Blade)

Reinhardt’s armor caved in, but for some reason, he seemed unfazed.

And Rael immediately knew why.

“Did you, per chance, kill a lot of people before coming here? Those stats of yours sure are overpowered now, aren’t they—”

<Ding!>

Immediately, his vision darkened, and for a moment, Rael felt a strange, powerful pull bringing him downwards.

And when he finally reopened his eyes, he found himself in some murky black arena. The ground was solid, and there was a cage blocking them from leaving.

Yet what was more surprising was the fact that off in the stands, he could see several people wearing all sorts of masks, watching the two of them in complete and utter silence.

Rael couldn’t inspect them, nor could he focus on them aside from their masks. It was almost as if they were mere shadows who were not exactly present at the moment.

Just as Rael thought that was the end of it, he heard a dull, echoing thud from the distance.

And once he turned around, he was met with a very familiar face.

The Hollow King, Kareth.

His curly hair fell down to the throne as he stared at Reinhardt and Rael with an amused look.

Yet he didn’t say a word, not that he needed to.

After all, the intention of this arena being here was clear.

“Hmm… look at the mess you got us into, Reinhardt,” Rael remarked with a sigh. “Now I definitely won’t be able to spare you.”

“Spare me?” Reinhardt scoffed. “For going against Aztera, you’re going to die here, Rael Sutekh.”

“Sure, sure.” Rael chuckled, and focused on the Hollow King, trying to inspect him.

And to his genuine surprise, he was able to.

—The King of All That Is Hollow, Kareth ??? (Grade 8 Tyrant Class) [Level 2442] [??? HP/??? HP]

Oh… Rael’s eyes widened in shock.

To reach even Grade 1, the person had to accumulate enough feats and reach level 2,500.

If they were at that level but didn’t have enough feats or achievements, they’d be able to continue leveling up, yet have no option to Ascend.

But as for those who Ascended, they got significantly stronger.

The Grade system repeated itself with seemingly no limit to the amount of ascensions possible.

Reach level 2,500, have enough feats, ascend. Return to level 1 with their stats intact, and repeat the process all over again.

But even in the game, the highest Grade being he had seen was Grade 5, though they were merely a Commander-Class Ascender. That meant their feats only amounted to that much.

But despite his shock, he had to put those thoughts on hold.

After all…
