Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 566: Will he... call her mom?
Chapter 566: Chapter 566: Will he... call her mom?
Teddy was really tired from playing.
He was exceptionally well-behaved when put to bed.
The chubby little dumpling, lying on the black sheets with his hands raised as if surrendering, looked a bit cute and a bit silly.
Brandon Piers watched for a while, then reached out to place the little guy’s arms under the blanket. He got up and adjusted the temperature of the thermostat and put all the things the little guy might need within reach.
After finishing everything, Brandon lay down.
After three months of running around and a twelve-hour flight, he should have been very tired, but he couldn’t feel any sleepiness. He turned his head and looked at his son sleeping peacefully beside him, thinking about the time he and Abigail lay on the bed with their son between them.
At that time, he found the little guy really annoying. Now, thinking back, it had become one of the few warm memories of the three of them together.
With a light sigh, Brandon stretched out his long arm to open the bedside cabinet and pulled out a chubby red fox, hugging it to his chest and forcing his eyes shut.
He vaguely didn’t know when he fell asleep, and then he woke up in pain.
Frowning, he opened his eyes to see a chubby little hand pulling his hair, yanking it with surprising strength.
Seeing him open his eyes, the little guy’s hand still held onto his hair while his big eyes looked at him curiously.
Father and son stared at each other for a while, and Brandon felt his heart soften, so he deliberately closed his eyes.
"Gaa gaa... gaa ya..." The next moment, the little guy grunted in dissatisfaction and began to tug on his hair again.
Brandon reopened his eyes, and the little guy stopped, continuing to stare with his big eyes.
Seeing Teddy awake without crying, Brandon extended a long finger and gently poked the little guy’s nose, "Hungry?"
"Aaa ya ya..." The little guy grunted in dissatisfaction, twisting his little body around on the bed, speaking in a language adults couldn’t understand.
Brandon glanced at the time. He moved the restless little hand from his head and got up to make formula.
After a night, the little guy naturally got familiar with Brandon. Seeing his dad leave, he crawled after him, almost falling off the bed. Fortunately, Brandon reacted quickly, scooped him up in one swift move, and then looked at the restless little guy, placed him under his arm, and awkwardly made the formula.
Last night, Aunt Claudia had left some stuff and explained Teddy’s recent habits. Brandon knew the little guy ate a lot now and needed about 200 milliliters at a time.
Under Brandon’s arm, Teddy curiously blinked his big eyes, following every movement Brandon made, which was very cute.
When Brandon finished making the formula, he put the little guy down.
After three months apart, the little guy had grown taller and chubbier but wasn’t as clingy as six months ago. While Brandon was feeding him, he grabbed the bottle to drink himself.
Brandon’s heart felt a wave of sourness. If Abigail came back and saw Teddy like this, would she feel sad too?
After the little guy was full, Brandon clumsily dressed him and carried him out of the room. Aunt Claudia was already waiting outside.
She had been worrying all night, afraid that Teddy wouldn’t get used to staying with his dad and would cry. But seeing Brandon come out with Teddy, the little guy curiously tilted his head, kicking his little legs restlessly.
Aunt Claudia quickly said, "Mr. Piers, Teddy is getting bigger. He needs to be held upright, not sideways."
Brandon listened and looked at the restless little guy in his arms, then held him upright. Sure enough, the little guy was immediately satisfied and, noticing Aunt Claudia, reached out for a hug.
Aunt Claudia looked at Brandon with some difficulty.
Brandon glanced at Teddy reaching for Aunt Claudia and handed the little guy over. Just then, the two grandfathers came up.
"Grandpa... grandpa..." Teddy, just in Aunt Claudia’s arms, happily looked at the two grandfathers and called out.
Brandon stood frozen, unable to react for a long time. After a while, as if talking to himself, he asked, "Teddy can call grandpa?"
"Sure, he can make a lot of sounds now," Aunt Claudia didn’t understand Brandon’s meaning, then looked at Teddy, "Ah!"
"Ah." The little guy followed.
"Daddy." Aunt Claudia continued showcasing to Brandon.
"Daddy, daddy..."
"Brother."
"Ke ke, ke ke ke..."
The word for brother wasn’t as clear as for daddy, but it was still understandable. Then, Aunt Claudia said to the little guy, "Clap your hands for daddy."
The little guy immediately clapped his hands.
"Shake your head for daddy."
The little guy immediately shook his little head.
Then, the little guy demonstrated a skill called "hitting grandpa", and Brandon felt a mix of sourness and swelling in his heart. When he left, the little thing couldn’t crawl and could only nudge forward slightly. The only sound he could make was "da da." Now, he could understand simple instructions, call out to grandpa and brother, but...
After a while, he asked hoarsely, "Can he... call out for mommy?"
Brandon’s question made the surroundings suddenly quiet.
The little guy seemed to sense the change in atmosphere, tilting his head to look at Brandon.
Brandon tried hard to make his voice sound normal, "Teddy, call mommy?"
Teddy, with those bright black eyes that looked exactly like Abigail’s, curiously watched Brandon but didn’t call out for mommy.
Brandon became anxious, "Teddy, call mommy? Mommy... mommy..."
But the little guy remained silent, just looking at Brandon’s mouth.
Grayson, seeing his grandson like this, turned away with red eyes, and Church was also uncomfortable.
Aunt Claudia had tears in her eyes, but not wanting to lose control, she held back.
But Brandon seemed possessed, staring at his son and continuing to teach, as if determined to make Teddy learn, "Mommy, mommy... Teddy, call mommy..."
When Abigail was around, the little guy couldn’t call for mommy. Now that she wasn’t home, the little thing still wouldn’t. He wouldn’t believe it!
The more anxious Brandon became, the more Teddy refused to call. Instead, feeling Brandon’s increasing anxiety, he couldn’t hold back and began to wail.
Church, with red eyes, glared at Brandon, "Why argue with a kid? He doesn’t understand much yet!"
Only then did Brandon come to his senses, looking at his teary-eyed son, he exhaled deeply and whispered, "I’m sorry, Teddy, daddy’s wrong."
As soon as he said this, a few elders’ eyes turned red.
Just then, Adam woke up, rubbing his messy hair as he came out, "What are you all doing so early in the morning, grandpa?"
Then he saw Teddy crying and rushed over, "Oh my darling, let your uncle hold you."
Aunt Claudia quickly handed Teddy to Adam and hurried towards the room, barely holding back her tears.
Adam, carefree and unrestrained, put the little guy down, "Come on, crawl for uncle, and uncle will give you this."
He held up a piece of sugar-free cracker.
Once Teddy saw it, he reached out little hands to grab it, but Adam dodged. To everyone’s surprise, the little guy, feeling desperate, cried, "Mama mama... mama mama..."
Brandon’s hand stiffened, slowly looking at his son.
