Chapter 32: Chapter 032: Ruthless Enough

After Luo Wu checked out the cave and deemed it safe, he shouted up, "Dad, Third Grandpa, Uncle Gu, it’s very safe down here, come down quickly."

With Luo Wu’s words, several families were mostly reassured and began to tie ropes, lowering themselves one by one into the cave beneath the cliff.

The cave was only five or six meters from the ground, with its entrance on the cliff face, sloping inward to form a small yet deep cave, ample enough for them to hide.

Qin San Lang, holding a torch, led everyone further inside, walking about ten meters before he stopped and turned to say, "We’re good here, everyone find a place to sit down and keep quiet."

After finishing his words, he walked towards the cave’s entrance and cooed twice toward the ground. Elder Qin came down, bound by rope from the cliff.

Once Elder Qin had untied the rope and entered the cave, Qin San Lang cooed twice more.

There was a snap as something hit the ground, and a moment later, Qin Er Lang leaped from the cliff, landing with a thump on the rocks extended from the cave’s entrance.

After landing, Qin Er Lang twirled his hand upwards, and a rope with a hook was pulled down.

Gu Jinli watched with a startle; Qin Er Lang’s skills were truly remarkable, able to leap to the cave entrance from the cliff five or six meters away using only a rope with a hook.

And that cooing sound from Qin San Lang’s mouth... Gu Jinli recalled how in a previous life on outdoor missions, she too would use animal sounds as secret signals; these people must have an extraordinary background, most likely military.

Qin Er Lang quickly rolled up the rope in his hands and tossed it to Qin San Lang, speaking coldly, "Extinguish the torch; those people are coming." Clearly still upset about him being meddlesome.

Qin San Lang extinguished the torch, tied the rope around his waist, and the three of them moved into the cave in the dark, sitting down about a zhang away from the other families.

"Nobody makes a sound, just get through tonight," Qin San Lang’s reassuring voice came from the darkness.

After this sentence, the cave sunk into silence, with occasional footsteps and distant cursing audible from the cliff, before quieting once more.

Meanwhile, on the ground, the chaos continued unabated; the Evildoers were still murdering, and the refugees were fleeing everywhere. No matter where they ran, they would always be met by Evildoers, brandishing large knives, spades, and hoes, who rushed from all directions to attack them.

The Gu Family had been scattered by the turmoil, their group of over twenty now reduced to small clusters fleeing for their lives.

Qian Li’er hid in a hollow with Qian Chenggui, covering her ears, yet still able to hear the screams echoing around them.

Qian Chenggui was petrified; though he usually behaved badly, he had never witnessed such a scene. Just the mere thought of murder could scare him to death.

Shivering, Qian Li’er curled up in the hollow, using the dry grass above for cover in hopes of escaping this disaster.

Bang bang bang!

Something rolled into the hollow.

Using the dim moonlight, Qian Chenggui looked towards the source of the noise and suddenly saw a pair of wide-open eyes. The eyes belonged to a dead man, his skull half open, his face covered in blood, with fresh blood flowing into his eyes, staining them red.

Next to this body lay two more corpses.

"Dead people!" Qian Chenggui screamed in terror, losing control of his bladder on the spot.

"Brother Jin, there’s someone in the hollow," an excited voice called out.

"Sounds like a mature man; not much use. Feng Mazi, you and Limp Zhang go kill him. If there’s anything good, bring it back," Brother Jin ordered impatiently.

"Eh." Feng Mazi and Limp Zhang immediately ran toward the depression in the hills. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

Qian Chenggui, hearing that these people were coming to kill him, nearly went mad with fear and hastily exclaimed, "Don’t, don’t kill me... I have a woman here, a beautiful virgin that I can offer to you lords."

When Qian Li’er heard this, she even considered killing Qian Chenggui herself.

Angered, she kicked Qian Chenggui and, following the depression, desperately ran backward.

The two men, upon hearing that there was a beautiful woman in the depression, and a virgin at that, dashed into the depression like madmen. Catching sight of Qian Li’er’s back, their eyes turned green with lust as they quickly caught up with her and pounced on her, bringing her to the ground.

"Ah, let go of me!" Qian Li’er felt disgusted as if a venomous snake was crawling on her, screaming and struggling ceaselessly.

Limp Zhang had been a bachelor for half his life and, upon finally seeing a pretty girl, was unwilling to let go, taking the opportunity to take advantage.

Feng Mazi kicked Limp Zhang in the back and scolded, "Brother Jin hasn’t even touched her yet, and you dare to make your move; do you have a death wish?"

Their rule here was that the boss got first dibs; only after the boss was bored would it be their underlings’ turn.

Naturally, Limp Zhang knew this rule. After indulging in a quick fondle, he chuckled, "I’m just checking the goods for Brother Jin, and I must say, this girl is exceptionally well kept, not like those dirty and skinny ones we stumbled upon before; they were no fun to play with."

"Feng Mazi, Limp Zhang, are you two dead down there? Why are you dawdling? Get up here now, do you expect Brother Jin to wait all day?"

Brother Jin had around thirty men under his command, only sending these two to catch a woman, while the others impatience, urged them on with displeasure.

"We’re coming." Feng Mazi and Limp Zhang dragged Qian Li’er up to the ground, then shouted into the depression at Qian Chenggui, "Crawl up here yourself, and if you dare to run, we’ll blow your head off!"

Qian Chenggui, petrified, staggered on shaky legs, climbed out of the depression using his hands and feet, following behind Feng Mazi and Limp Zhang.

"Brother Jin, your brothers have brought you a little beauty," said Feng Mazi as he dragged Qian Li’er in front of Brother Jin, seeking praise.

Brother Jin pinched Qian Li’er’s face, carefully examining her from head to toe, and laughed, "Not bad, not bad at all; her looks and figure are top-notch."

The moment Qian Li’er saw Brother Jin, she almost vomited; the man before her was at least forty years old, a monster with half his nose sliced off, his hair a tangled mess, and his body emanating a foul stench.

But she knew there was no escape today and that she had to succumb to this man.

However, she was determined to take someone down with her.

Her eyebrows lifted slightly, her lips curved into a seductive smile as she shyly but coyly said to Brother Jin, "To serve Brother Jin is Li’er’s good fortune, but Li’er has a small favor to ask of Brother Jin."

Brother Jin, who had never encountered someone who did not resist, was intrigued and asked with a smile, "What is it, tell me."

Qian Li’er glanced back at Qian Chenggui, her eyes filled with resentful venom: "Castrate him."

Qian Chenggui had ruined her life, and she would ruin his in return; she would ensure Qian Chenggui’s life was ten times worse than hers in this lifetime.

"Ha ha ha, that’s vicious—I like it," Brother Jin said with a laugh. He pointed at one of his men behind him and instructed, "Liangzi, go cripple him."

"Roger that." Liangzi, clasping a dagger, approached Qian Chenggui.

Only now did Qian Chenggui realize that what Qian Li’er had said was true. He looked at Qian Li’er in disbelief and roared, "Li’er, I’m your own brother, you can’t do this to me!"
