On the way back to the cafe, Phoebe took the opportunity to tell the guardians about more on Enigma's real identity, sharing what David had told her in the morning.

"Bloody hell! I am calling Rufus so that we can pull out the big guns and get rid of this demon before he starts sniffing around other houses." Maureen fished out her phone from the bag.

Rekha winced loudly. "I am with aunt on this one, sorry sis but my strategy for dealing with demons is kill first and ask questions later." She shrugged.

Phoebe snatched the phone mid-dial, fingers clamping over the screen. "You think I wanted to do this? Enigma is the only link we have to Azur or who Ruth is working for. It is why I want to separate Evelyn from him without alerting him and making him cautious." She let out a short but heavy sigh. "Okay call David, he and his warlocks can capture Enigma, lock him up and interrogate him first. If all fails, he call grandpa Rufus and kill the demon." She proposed.

"Fine." Maureen said. Without a lightening grab, the phone was hers once again. She wanted to be the one to exorcise Enigma personally and send him back to hell.

Following the spirits advice meanwhile which was in line with David's idea of feeding Evelyn a love potion, Phoebe called Arrow and requested him to meet her at the cafe. She lied to him, claiming urgency.

Once they got there, she was glad to find that he had arrived before Evelyn. Dragging him into her office, she rapidly told him that she planned to divert Evelyn's feelings for Enigma towards him. She strongly added that it was save Evelyn's life.

Then, she winced in whispers, observing his face and waiting to hear what he thought. He did not look displeased or disgusted, that was a good sign for starters.

"Sooooo..." Phoebe raised her eyebrows and she drawled out hopefully.

Arrow took a sip of coffee first and then he said slowly in an unbothered voice, "I honestly did not believe that Evie actually had caught feelings for that fat fuck. It did not make sense at all. David told me what he really is in the morning, and I have been expecting your call. I think that there could be a possibility that he enchanted her into loving him." Arrow's aura suddenly changed towards the end and his voice became strained to mask his rage.

Phoebe slowly took a seat in her chair behind her desk. His line of thought was yet to cross her mind but, she too had wondered how Enigma had managed to charm Evelyn even though she had a bracelet that warded off evil.

"He must be a powerful demon. For one he can walk among guardians undetected, I am still puzzled by this since Collin's wedding." Phoebe breathed.

"It is not entirely impossible if the demons have a powerful sorcerer by their side and we know that they do. On top of their own special skills which they possess as demons, they are now aided by the help of a sorcerer that is capable of casting such a spell. He is probably the one that provided a potion or did the spell which enchanted Evelyn." The spirit informed them.

Arrow expelled air from his nostrils loudly. "I am not judging but Evelyn's lifestyle probably made her a target. The demons probably knew that nobody would ask many questions about her bringing a new boyfriend around. They would just laugh because he is not her usual type but after laughing nobody would bat an eye.

Instead of looking into Enigma everyone is counting down the days until she breaks up with him and introduces another man a week later. I just wish that she can drop her wayward type of living. See where it landed her!" The knuckles of his clenched fist became whiter than the light snow outside.

Maureen had followed them into the office, and she arched an eyebrow, her eyes pinned on him with a suspicious gaze. "Maybe he enchanted her because of something that he wants from her family, we all know that many in her family are collectors of trinkets and relics which have religious significance so perhaps they are after one of those things." She said her opinion.

Grandma Mayfair had been listening outside the open door, and she walked in. "That is beside the point." "Arrow Castille, I have known you since you were in diapers. When did you start having romantic feelings for Evelyn Madison?"

Arrow's red eyes nearly popped out of their sockets and his mouth formed a disgruntled pout.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." he muttered.

"And here I was thinking that I could play matchmaker for your families." Grandma Mayfair sighed sadly and pretentiously.

"Well....." Arrow scratched the back of his left ear, acting puzzled.

All the women watched him fumble for an answer, impressed by the old woman's intuitive skills.

"I mean....." Arrow groaned and buried his head in his hands for a moment.

"Oh my God Arrow, do you really like Evie?" Phoebe's hand flew to her mouth. Now she knew why David had suggested that Arrow be the target of Evelyn's new affections. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Maureen let out a laugh, it was more of a sneer. "The fact that he is tongue tied means that mother is spot on. Why have you not told her?" She asked.

"Do you not have eyes? She is obviously not ready for a serious relationship, and I am not one to play such games, I will shoot my shot when I see that she is ready to settle down. Besides, not every woman is eager to love and marry a Castille because of our freaky red eyes." Misery clung to his speech.

The door gave a soft rattle as Evelyn nudged it open. She came in like a force of nature in pink heels and bouncy curls of hair that smelled like daisies. "Pheebs what is so important that I had to cancel a trip which I was about to go on with my fiancé?" She spoke as she strolled in, brows furrowed. "This better be good because Enny has left without me." She added, dropping into the chair like a stone, her displeasure palpable.

Arrow snickered. "Enny my ass." He muttered.

As Evie sat, Maureen lurched up. "He left? To where?" The questions spewed out of her mouth.

The door had been left open and Sabrina dropped in with drinks and apple cinnamon rolls for Phoebe.

Shrugging as she placed an order with Sabrina, Evelyn cast Maureen a perplexed gaze. "Why are you shocked that he left? He is searching for something or someone important and I was accompanying him because a day without him feels like eternity." She spoke with nonchalance.

"Okay before we chat any further let her drink the concoction first, then we can get the answers we want." Phoebe lightly shoved the glass towards Evelyn and ordered her to drink it.

A grimace twisted Evelyn's face the green concoction looked foul and smelled like a rotting fruit. "Huh? Me? Why do I have to drink that? For what reason? That drink is not touching my mouth." She vowed.
