Then it sat in front of her before tugging her head to his soft belly.

Ella found it way too comfortable. She leaned in and nuzzled her face everywhere before she found a better position and slept peacefully.

Hours later, Ella finally stirred.

After having gotten a good sleep, she stretched her limbs with a huge smile.

As her blurred vision gradually adjusted to the lights, she remained in that position, gently blinking until...

"Awake?"

Ella’s eyes widened and her heart sped up.

At once, she sat up. But in her haste, she forgot about her current body structure.

She could barely sit up without support so she plopped back on Adrian’s thigh like a plump dumpling.

Then he closed the file and threw it to the coffee table before getting up.

At this moment, Ella noticed the absence of another being around, ’’Baby, where is Riri?"

Before Adrian could answer, the office door opened and Nanny Ji Yan stepped inside, holding an obedient looking puppy in his arms.

Ella burst out in laughter, ’’He sure seems to be fond of you.’’

Ji Yan gave a ’scile’—neither a smile nor a scream.

When they left the place, Ella realized that the building was mostly empty. Except for the chambers in the upper floor where she could see shadows of people loitering around.

These must be the chosen corporate rats who differentiated in no day or night while working.

"Baby, are we having dinner together?" Ella turned to Adrian the moment the car pulled up in front of the mansion.

After all, she would be leaving soon so it would be a good thing to appease this big devil’s stomach while she was at it.

’’Oh yes, we are surely having dinner together!" A voice came from inside before a man appeared in Ella’s view, ’’What? You don’t look so pleased to see me around?"

Ella ignored him.

Ronan turned to Adrian, ’’I have been waiting for so long just to eat with you guys. But you were so late that I started wondering if someone here caused you trouble again?"

Ella glared at him. It was difficult as it was to appease Adrian. Why was this homewrecker always ready to aggravate him?

Did someone cause you trouble?

Didn’t it sound more like—Oh, with your troublemaker wife around, I can’t help but worry if you died or something!

At this moment, Ji Yan approached Adrian and whispered something in his ear.
