Two men stayed in the room while the others left.

The other man scoffed when she stopped struggling, ’’Once that bitch is dealt with, it will be your turn. Till then, better be obedient and stay put—AHHHHHHHH!"

An ear splitting scream reverberated across the courtyard. The birds resting in the trees flew away.

In the dim light of the room, one could see a man rolling on the floor with his right hand completely gone limp.

The other man immediately turned to tackle Ella but just as he had swung his fist, his fist was grabbed by tiny chubby fingers.

The girl looked at him with bloody eyes and in the next moment—

More men rushed inside the room.

Ella stood there with her head lowered and her eyes upturned as she looked at them emotionlessly.

Just as one of those men was about to reach Ella, the sound of a gunshot reverberated inside the courtyard.

Instead, he walked past Ronan with larger strides.

Ronan glanced at Ji Yan.

Ji Yan motioned a slash across his neck.

Adrian’s footsteps never halted after he entered the courtyard.

His keen ears followed the sound of indistinct groans in the distance.

And soon, he stood in front of a dimly lit room.

The door was half ajar.

At this moment, Ji Yan finally managed to chase up to Adrian, ’’Second Master...’’

’’Cut every finger that has pointed her way...’’ Adrian’s face was enshrouded in a deathly gloom, ’’Burn every man that was involved in this!"

Adrian kicked the door. Dust burst from the hinges as the wood shattered. Light spilled into the room—along with horror.
