Reborn with Infinity Skill Points, I Enslaved All Universes-Chapter 84 --Millennial Apocalypse
Chapter 84: Chapter84-Millennial Apocalypse
After a thorough explanation from the Human Emperor, Daniel finally understood the truth behind it all.
It turned out that the massive Snowdragon Beast before him was not capable of true flight at all! Rather than soaring through the skies with wings, it moved by rapidly shifting through space, achieving a velocity that mimicked high-speed flight. However, this spatial traversal was not unlimited. The Snowdragon Beast could only make short-distance teleportations, and to maintain its overall pace, it continuously blinked in and out of space like a phantom, making it appear astonishingly fast.
Because it was traveling through space rather than the physical atmosphere, air resistance simply didn’t exist for it. This unique advantage meant that the miniature tavern mounted on its back—an architectural oddity by itself—was perfectly secure and unaffected by turbulence.
Upon hearing this, Daniel could only marvel at the strangeness of the world. "The world really is full of wonders," he muttered with a half-laugh.
"Want a drink?" the Human Emperor asked, swirling a goblet in his hand with practiced elegance. "This wine can’t be found anywhere else."
...
The Northern Border of the Human Realm—
After a long and grueling journey that spanned over a dozen hours, Daniel and the Human Emperor finally arrived at their destination.
The trip had not been silent, however. Along the way, the two of them had engaged in many long conversations, delving into the mysteries and truths of the world they lived in. Though Daniel had been raised in the Royal Academy and had received a solid education, there were still many gaps in his understanding. Now, with a rare opportunity at hand, he made sure to ask as much as he could, soaking up knowledge like a sponge.
This dialogue with the Human Emperor filled many of the voids in his worldview. After all, the man beside him wasn’t just any powerful figure—he was a living legend, the one who knew more about this world than perhaps anyone else alive.
And during their talk, Daniel learned one of the world’s most tightly kept secrets—something not even the Academy books dared to mention.
There was a level cap in this world.
Yes, the power system had a clear ceiling. The absolute maximum level a person could reach was Tier-20, or Level 200.
Once one hit Level 200, there was no known method of further advancement. Across all the races of the world—whether human, elf, dwarf, or otherwise—no one had ever found a way beyond it.
And yet...
What truly horrified the Human Emperor was that during the last Millennial Apocalypse, enemies had appeared who were Tier-30—Level 300 beings.
That meant they were a full 100 levels higher than the strongest individuals of this world. Such a disparity was beyond comprehension. These invaders were not just world bosses—they made world bosses look like weaklings by comparison.
According to the Human Emperor, that cataclysmic event had nearly spelled the end of the world.
Entire races had been wiped off the map, surviving now only in ancient scrolls and fragments of historical records. The Human Emperor himself, who had been only a 20-year-old novice Awakener at the time, hadn’t been qualified to participate in the core conflict. Yet he had witnessed the horrors firsthand. He had seen the apocalypse with his own eyes.
To combat the millennial calamity, even the Abyss race—typically one of the most hostile and chaotic factions in the world—had joined forces with the rest of the sentient races. It had been an unprecedented alliance, one forged out of necessity and sheer desperation.
The combined forces of the myriad races had paid a steep price—untold sacrifices and immense loss—to barely push back the onslaught.
Had they not united, the result would have been complete annihilation. The world would’ve been reduced to ash, regardless of whether one was human, elf, or abyss-born.
During the Apocalypse, heroes had risen among every race. Champions emerged, some from obscurity, some from noble bloodlines—each of them willing to stand against extinction.
Even the mighty Gods and dreaded Demon Lords had moved their pieces in the background, their shadowy intentions hidden behind layers of manipulation. However, not a single one of them had personally entered the battlefield. The war was fought—and won—by the mortals who bled and died without divine assistance.
And even then, it was a pyrrhic victory.
Among the ten dominant races of the time, over 90% of their populations were lost. For the Human Race, the losses were so catastrophic that, as the Human Emperor described, you could hardly find a single 3-Star Awakener afterward.
A 3-Star Awakener corresponded to someone in the Level 60 to 90 range. That meant the Human Race had almost no high-level combatants left by the end of the war.
Just recounting those times made the Human Emperor clench his fists in frustration and grief. The pain in his voice was evident.
And as for the enemies they faced during that Apocalypse? Their origin remained unknown to this day. The only certainty was this—they came from the stars, bearing power that even the Gods and Demon Lords feared.
It was said that in the aftermath, the earth ran red with blood. For years afterward, even the falling rain and drifting snow had a faint crimson hue, as if the land itself had wept for its wounds.
Cities were reduced to rubble. Forests were leveled. Mountains were sundered. The world, once vibrant and alive, was now a scarred husk of its former self.
Hearing all this from the Human Emperor left Daniel with a heavy heart. He had always heard vague tales of the Millennial Apocalypse—but they were just that: tales. He’d never truly grasped the scale of destruction, or the fact that the Human Race had nearly been wiped off the face of the planet.
Only someone like the Human Emperor, who had lived through that tragedy, could truly understand its terror.
Now, this same Human Emperor—Odin—was once again burdened with the future of the Human Race. He carried the weight of survival on his shoulders.
And with the next Millennial Apocalypse looming, Odin was more focused than ever before.
Just look at what had already happened—the Gnome Race, a proud people with a legacy of invention and resilience, had already been crushed without a chance to resist.
If the Primordial Core Weapon had detonated within the Human Capital rather than the outskirts... could the Human Race have survived?
Even the Human Emperor dared not think too deeply on that question.
Daniel, meanwhile, found that this long, intense journey had elevated his understanding of the world by leaps and bounds. So much of what he’d learned couldn’t be found in books—it had to be passed down orally, through first-hand accounts from someone who had lived it.
Impressed by Daniel’s curiosity and thirst for knowledge, the Human Emperor eventually made a decision.
He gifted Daniel a book titled "Encyclopedia of Rare Materials."
At first glance, it didn’t seem like much. But its true worth was beyond imagining.
It was the culmination of over a thousand years of Odin’s personal exploration, research, and field notes. The tome detailed countless rare materials and, more importantly, revealed where and how to obtain them.
With this book in hand, Daniel’s path to acquiring rare crafting components would be drastically simplified, provided he had the strength to survive those locations.
As the two continued to talk and share insights, a different group of individuals was taking their first steps on a new journey.
Daniel’s fellow students—those who had entered the Royal Academy around the same time as him—had finally reached Tier-3 and were stepping into the Whitewild Expanse for the first time.
Yet instead of excitement, they felt only regret.
Because despite reaching this new zone, there were no World Rank bosses left for them to challenge.
Daniel had already eliminated every single one of them.
All that remained were underground labyrinths and minor skirmishes to grind for experience. Or perhaps, if they were lucky, they might stumble upon some of the hidden treasure chests Daniel had left behind.
Fortunately, not all the treasure had been looted—Daniel hadn’t gotten around to opening every chest.
But Daniel was unaware of any of this—and frankly, even if he knew, he wouldn’t care.
Because now, he had left Castle Mington far behind.
His path now led to the Northern Frontier of the Human Realm—toward battles, secrets, and the dark shadow of the Millennial Apocalypse that threatened to return once more.
