Rebound In Time-Chapter 41- Crimson purple 2
Chapter 41 - 41- Crimson purple 2
Throughout the two months, Mitchell had noticed something off about him. If he had jack with him, he could have realized immediately but it was after several tries did he realize. He was not increasing in power anymore. His cultivation base was stagnant. He would cultivate and his qi would be completely filled again, but he would not rise in stages.
It was only just recently did he realize the damage his rage had gotten him into. The crimson dragon was a beast that was feared throughout the land because of these reasons; firstly, it mostly cultivated its physical body and hardly trained its qi but that was not to say it was not powerful. It could kill anyone in the same realm as it with just its physical strength alone. When added with its divine abilities, it could even fight against those who were greater in strength than it.
Secondly; its defense. The crimson dragon defense was so strong that along with its physical prowess it held all the possibilities of coming out on top in a fight.
Thirdly; its rage. Whenever the crimson dragon entered the berserk mode 'like what happened with Mitchell'. It could further rise in power in exchange for its sanity to be reduced to that of an ant. But that was not the most fearful part. It could also level up while in a fight and that was what scared opponents. Imagine having a fight where you could lose for the slightest mistake and your opponents power keeps rising in the middle of the fight. That was a nightmare to all cultivators.
Now all that may have seem to be a reason to fear the crimson dragon but much much stronger beasts would have no problems but what gave everyone the true fear of the already terrifying beast was that it was one of the beasts that could and would surely enter the rank of a true divine beast one after a long time.
Sure maybe you could fight against a normal beast of its level. But when it entered the true realm of divine beats. It is not an understatement to say its presence is one akin to a god.
That was the true reason why it was so feared. This beast from the day it was born had the possibility of reaching the true divine beast realm. It was genetically imbued in its system, the beast that had no chances of failing once it was strong enough to try and ascend to . . .god tier.
All of these things Mitchell didn't known. All he knew was that his cultivation was stagnant. He was still at the fifth stage of foundation building no matter how much he tried.
He couldn't help but to ask himself why. 'Could it be because my physical body is not yet on par with my cultivation base. And it is stagnant because it is waiting for it to catch up'. That sounded dumb to Mitchell's ears but that was the only thing he could think of. Until he could think of a better answer, he would stick with this one. It only seemed logical.
'Jack did say that I breezed through qi condensation too fast. Maybe my body didn't have enough time to catch up and was doing so now.' He ended his trail of thoughts.
He saw someone cultivating nearby. He looked to be in a semi-conscious state. Mitchell just wanted to pass by. As far he did nothing to provoke him or to feel threatened, he would not kill.
After all, he did not kill on a whim. Every one of his kills had a reason behind it or at least someone with malicious intent. Only then would he end their lives without pity.
The person woke up as Mitchell had already passed him. He raiser his hand but once he saw Mitchell's white mask, and his hair, he shuddered and slowly lowered his hand. He had heard all about the infamous crimson purple who killed without mercy and had a white mask on him but had never actually thought he would see him with his own eyes and still be alive.
He gave a sigh of relief when he saw that he was only passing by and did nothing to interrupt his cultivation. After he could not see his figure again only did his calm facade wear off and he started breathing fast.

He had put a cloaking inscription in the area around him so as when cultivating, no one would notice him. But Mitchell had seen him and did nothing.
You would think that maybe he did not know that he was there and was just passing by on accident but when Mitchell turned his face to glare coldly, at the man as he raised his hand. He was sure he could see him.
"Just as they say he is. He could even see through my cloaking inscription."
And once again, Crimson Purple's power was increased once again and very soon rumors came out.
That, crimson purple saw a man cultivating and gave him taught him a cloaking inscription. Then it changed that crimson purple was the man's student. Then it changed again that crimson purple was the man's master and he was showing his gratitude to him by teaching him an inscription. It then changed yet again that it was not a man, but a very beautiful woman and crimson purple was showing his affection by teaching the lady a cloaking inscription.
Mitchell just laughed inwardly as he heard these rumors. It had only been a few days since then but they had managed to twist the truth so much that if it was said, no one would believe.
And Mitchell was sure that if it continued like this, people were likely to forget about his killing ordeal.
And by that time, they would have managed to twist the truth even more to become even more unrecognizable. But he didn't really care. As far as it did not bother him and people continued to stay from him, he was fine.
In his mind, they were wasting their time. Being jobless and looking for rumors to gossip about and have small laughs. He wasn't interested in all that crap and just wanted to fulfill his goals, find Ange and get the fuck out of this this hell hole.
Now that his cultivation was stagnant and increasing it was not possible, he would focus on his goals. To find a power that can suppress the two divine beings energy sources.
Almost all the cultivators he had fought against recently were all in the later stages of foundation building. Almost breaking through to the next realm which was golden cores.
He had no idea about that realm, the people he fought against were on par with his newly gained physical power and when he went all out he could manage a win.
He had seen a cultivator in the 'Golden core realm' fight before and the power he displayed was off the charts. He was sure that if that attack was directed at him, he would have died if he chose to withstand it head on but if he wanted to escape, he would still have to sacrifice a lot.
Like his arm or his leg. And several of his other body parts.
