Chapter 50 - 50- Even smaller world 3
Immediately Selia flew away from view Mitchell started his sprint towards the castle. During these few days he had the time to rest and his body to get used to the extreme cold and could endure the flight with Selia.
His body had gotten enough time to rest properly and adapt to the extreme cold which had posed a threat to him before but not anymore.
Because he had no injuries suppressing his speed, Mitchell was able to arrive close to the mountain on top which the huge castle was built.
Its wall were white from the snow and had a jagged look. There were no such thing as magical beasts keeping watch much to his pleasure after thinking the guardian would . . . obviously be guarded.
Going up the mountain was no problem since there was already a path leading up to it. Now Mitchell was faced with the castle walls and couldn't help but ask himself the next step he would take from here.
He considered knocking when the giant doors opened on its own as if ushering Mitchell in. The inside of the castle was cold and empty amd only snow could be seen everywhere.
The halls were quiet and Mitchell kept wandering until he appeared before another door within the hall.
He was about to push open or door or knock when the door opened again. The first time he was scared now this time he was terrified. Doors opening on their own were normally horror movies waiting to be re enacted.

What he saw was a different story entirely. In what appeared to be a throne room was a woman sitting on the throne which was blue and many engravings on it and treasures so to the point of calling them tacky.
She had flowing white hair and crystal clearly blue eyes that seemed to be almost glowing.
Almost.
She was wearing some Gothic gown that made sure to highlight her perk body and beautiful face that Mitchell was sure was the prettiest he had ever seen.
She had her head resting against her knee and had a bored look on her face. Next to her was a throne of similar size and texture but without the tacky engravings and tattoos and was smaller in comparison.
On it was a tiger with a fur coat and black stripes. It had a mischievous look on its face along with boredon. The tiger seemed to have a crown on top it head which it showed off to the flabbergasted Mitchell.
"I told you to transform into your humanoid self, why don't you listen". The woman said with a tinge of annoyance that sounded enchanting to the ears and would make several men start professing their love to her when they hear it.
The tiger feigned ignorance and continued to show its crown on its head to the still shocked Mitchell. A smirk appeared on its face and lasted till the crown was snatched from its head by the woman.
"Not fair mom, you said you would let me wear it". The tiger said and shape shifted into a young girl who had features extremely similar to the woman's and the beauty could be said to be hereditary.
"You're missing the point.". The woman sighed in tiredness and turned to look at Mitchell whose jaw was close to reaching the ground.
"Are you the . . ."
"Yes I am the guardian". Mitchell's further disbelief made her add. "You don't believe that I can be the guardian". She said with a voice that oozed authority.
She lifted her hand and a blizzard instantly appeared in the throne room they were in. She opened her hand and the blizzard compressed into her hand little by little until it was as small as a pebble. The small mass of wind and snow floated in the air and she began to use to play by tossing it from hand to another while sometimes bouncing it on the floor all the all the while sitting on the throne with her elbow on the arm guard and one leg on the throne.
She looked at Mitchell with plain amusement on her face. Mitchell was flabbergasted. . .again. Her level of skill was off the charts and even more, she did not release any ounce of power making her seem like a mundane human.
A very beautiful mundane human. Even the girl sitting in the smaller throne with mischievousness on her face was as beautiful as the woman. 'I never actually knew what I was expecting. Why am I surprised'.
He attempted to put on a poker face but failed miserably with his eyebrow constantly twitching. He did not even know what to say so the woman said it for him.
"I guess you are here to ask me for permission to leave my world aren't you". The amusement still on her face. Mitchell nodded. "Well you've come to right place. I have a favor to ask you if only you pass my test and I will also grant you a serendipity if you do". She said while looking at Mitchell's face for his expression.
Mitchell's brain was working at over gear trying to process what she had said and at the same time keeping his eyes on the beauty.
When he added decided the message, his expression was that of confusion. But he still asked.
"What is the test".
"To get me entertained silly. What other test can I possibly give you. If you can pass this very easy test then I will have a favor to ask you and give you a serendipity to go fulfill it".
'As if its as easy as you said. Only heavens know what test you are going to give me and I dont know what will happen if I fail.'
As if reading his mind. "If you fail . . . you will die. I think that's the only ending you can have". She took his death like it was that of a cockroach.
She did not wait anymore and stretched her hand before Mitchell and he saw before his eyes an apparition that looked exactly like him being created.
His eyes were blue and his hair was as white as snow. Even his skin was was pale and plus the white hair making him look like an albino.
He was dressed in a white robe and a black sash at the waist. He had a replacement of the purple sword Mitchell normally used except that it was pale blue in his apparition's hand.
He gave a faint smirk as his former illusionary form turned corporeal. "If you have not guessed it up till now then I will tell you. Your test to keep us entertained by fighting to the death with this full version of you that I have painfully taken the effort to create".
'That's a lie, you didn't even break a sweat'. Mitchell wanted to scream at her but knew if he did it would be the last thing he ever does.
"Just fight him, kill him and i will give you the serendipity, I ask you for a favor and you get out of here. How hard could it be". She said again.
"Yeah, how hard could it be . . . Mitchell?" It was his apparition that talked this time and he had a calm look in his gaze. His hands were behind his back and his white robes fluttered in the little wind that blew in the throne room.
"Without anything more to say. Start". It was the young girl that said and she received a glare from her mother.
