Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System-Chapter 58: A new plan.
Chapter 58: A new plan.
"I can see you’ve gotten stronger too."
It didn’t seem like he truly meant it. Actually, he didn’t. Because throughout, one thing was on his mind.
’If she gets too strong, how am I going to stop her?’
According to what he knew, becoming a Dragon Master meant the dragon would now fall under his every command.
Which sounded cool and mighty at first listen—but what if the dragon has other plans?
Dragons aren’t so easily controlled; there is a chance she might resort to killing him now that she has awakened.
It wouldn’t be the first time it would happen in history.
Everything happens in history.
"Indeed. Though my mana is still low, and it will take some time for me to fully recover. Fighting my other siblings right after shouldn’t be an issue."
Her response and facial expression were so genuine and innocent.
You could almost forget she’s a murderous, overpowered dragon.
"Well, if that’s the case, then I’m glad I could help."
A slight grunt left his mouth before standing to his feet.
"If you need anything else, just let me know."
It was then she did something he never expected.
Falling on one knee, her boobs pressing against her leg, she bowed her head, allowing her blue hair to cover the side of her face.
"Master—I have a request to ask of you."
Is this where she was going to kill him? Trying to aura farm before she finally takes the shot?
"Yes, what is it?" Jared replied.
Every part of his body ready to move if anything were to happen.
"Towards the east, far away from the northern region, I knew my Master would be on Earth, but I knew not where he would be.
So I sent some of my soldiers to make a home here and wait for my return until I have found my master. You. Since I’ve found you, I would like to ask that you let them stay here with me in your kingdom."
Oh?
Jared couldn’t help but listen to what she had just said.
’She has servants here? Interesting...’
An idea already popped in his head.
"These warriors, are they dragons like yourself?"
"They are lesser dragons. Lizard men."
"How many?"
"Over a hundred."
Silence took control for a while. It was so long that Paimon could not resist the temptation to raise her head and figure out why her master had not given her a response.
The moment she laid her eyes on him, her face turned stale.
Jared was wearing the most disgusted expression known to man, not even trying to hide the fact he was plotting something.
"Sure. Bring them; I’ll be happy to accommodate them in Sikone village."
Words like that—could one really trust them?
"If it’s too much bother, I could take them back to my ho—"
"Nah, it’s fine. I’ll have my people build more houses. The more people we have, the better. It’s no big deal."
A smile hinted at Paimon’s face. She was content with his response.
"I am honored," she replied. "I will head over there and bring them back in a few days’ time. I beg you to wait for my return until then."
’She’s oddly cooperative.’
[The goddess of combat has taken a liking to the Blue Dragon.]
[The god of dragons is feeling proud of his descendant.]
Jared sighed.
These damn gods sure know how to make issues more complicated than they need to be.
"Alright then. You are free to do as you please."
As soon as he gave his response, Paimon smiled, and then all of a sudden, she melted like lava, her body slipping into the ground until she was completely gone.
Dramatic, but it was still cool to witness.
Well, she was a dragon after all. Dragons are always cool in more ways than one.
Hammmmmph~
Jared stretched a bit.
What he needed to do next was already on his mind, so he knew he had to get ready for that physically and mentally.
It’s been two days already; no doubt the workers would have completed more buildings. Especially with Jessica being the one leading them.
That damn girl was too smart for her own good.
Then again, if Jared wanted to truly build the greatest village in the entire northern region, then he most definitely needed to keep people like that by his side.
’Now then. Let’s see how far they’ve gotten.’
Just as he wanted to make a step.
Bang! Bang!
Someone knocked on the door.
It was Lucy and Kiara. They had someone else with them too. Another female, but she didn’t look human.
’Uhh? How do I know this?’
Was it because he just became a Dragon Master? He felt like he could see everything that was happening outside his room, almost like he was there with them.
Nah, he was probably tweaking.
Just to be sure, he sat back down on the bed, his legs crossed in a kingly pose.
"Come in." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
His response was met with an immediate reply.
The door opened, and the first person that came rolling in was the cat lady—Ulena.
She tripped to the ground, staying there for a while. After Lucy and Kiara walked in, she finally raised her head to know the man seated on the bed.
Jared Hunter.
Of course, she didn’t know his name. In fact, she had never seen him before.
Yet—judging from the way he was seated and how the two girls were acting, she could immediately tell he was their leader.
It wasn’t just that either.
The aura that surrounded his very existence—it was unlike anything she had ever seen before.
Looking at him from down there, she could have sworn a mighty dragon was trying to swallow her whole.
Gulp!
She crawled forward, positioning herself right in front of the two girls.
Bowing her head, Kiara was the first to speak.
"We did as you asked and brought the leader of the cat people to you, my lord."
Jared was a tad bit surprised.
’The people that took half of our watering hole... are cat people?’
All he knew was some powerful group of people somehow took part of the watering hole from his father; he didn’t know the race of said people.
Which is why he waited until Lucy was a sixth rank before even trying to fight back?
But, cat people?
They can’t surely be that strong. Hell, even their race name is lazy as fuck.
Who on Earth calls a group of people cat people? Humans should refer to themselves as human people?
Jared was definitely not impressed. In fact, he was disappointed.
"So you are the leader of the cat species," he began.
"Y-yes. Ulena."
"Right, Ulena—"
"... it’s Ule-na..."
"You probably don’t know who I am. The man you knew was my father. He is no longer with us; as such, I am the one in charge of this place. With my rule comes change—you understand what I mean, don’t you?"
Ulena nodded her head.
Even if she disagreed with what he said, she would still nod her head in support.
Her whole plan to intimidate and probably kill him once she met him just went down the drain.
This man—would chew her up if she were to do anything stupid. She felt like she was speaking to death itself.
If it weren’t for the two other woman standing beside her, there was a chance she would have run out of the room screaming for help.
Sure they were her enemy, but she’d pick them over the someone who has the aura of the literal demon.
It almost felt like she was the only one who could see it.
[The skill Will of Dragon is currently in effect.]
[The character Ulena has fallen under its effect.]
[The character Ulena is afraid of you.]
Jared continued—
"Turns out you and your people have been living the good life since my father was in power. You got full access to our hunting ground, our watering hole, even our land. All while you did not pay us back in any way for the free services we gave. Basically, you extorted us."
This time, Ulena shook her head in denial, ready to say anything to defend herself.
But the ’Don’t speak’ gesture Jared gave her made her think twice before saying anything.
"It even turns out, you expanded your control and went on to claim almost 60% of the watering hole. Quite greedy you are, and here I thought I was worse. Sigh, this can’t keep going on like this, you know? I am a family man; I have people to take care of."
Jared reached into a portal, pulling out a sheet of paper and a pen. A contract.
Lucy and Kiara already knew what was coming next. They’ve witnessed it happen before.
A look of pity immediately played on their faces as they looked away.
Leaning forward, Jared smiled—
"I’m upset, totally—but if you sign this contract, I can assure you I’ll let all your transgressions go. So what do you say?"
