Reincarnated To Evolve My Bee Empire-Chapter 223: Blessings of the God of Humanity

Ambrosia met my stare directly.

"What else could we do? You vanished so suddenly, and we had no idea why or where. I could've been humans' fault—they already tried to kidnap some of our own. But even if it wasn't, we… We couldn't risk following your plans on your own. I hoped to cripple humans quickly while they were still fighting each other. That it didn't work will be my lesson."

"So… You admit it was a mistake, Amby?"

She gave me an unimpressed look.

"Of course. Two hives were destroyed, Hive Supremo became the target of an attack, and we are *still* counting all the losses. What else could it be? This doesn't mean I would've acted differently back then." Ambrosia's face softened. "Punish me for this, if you think it's necessary, Nectus. But tell me—what happened to you? Why did you disappear?"

"Yes, Father! Please, tell us," Worriesgone echoed in her sweet voice.

"And don't blame Mother-Queen for this. I was the military commander, and all mistakes are mine!" Bloodhero said.

I smiled, as usual, unable to be angry at them for long.

After all, what else could I have expected? I didn't even *just* die—I mysteriously vanished from plain sight!

It was a wonder the Bee Empire was still standing and not being on fire. Mostly.

"Alright, alright. No punishments. Your Father is here to deal with the mess you made for him, and I'm sure you will punish yourself with guilt without my help." I chuckled. "As for why I've disappeared… I suppose it'd be better if you know the details."

"We are listening, Father," Researchina said. She already had a blank wax tablet in front of her and a writing stick ready—a picture of diligence.

"First, I must teach you a new word—'god'. A god is a being of incredible power—bigger than anyone else's."

"Ah, so like you, Father?" Worriesgone asked innocently.

I choked on air.

"No! No, of course not! I'm not a god! Why did you even think about me, and not, say, humans?"

"You can kill a human easily, Father. So you are stronger," Bloodhero said.

I sighed.

"Gods are like moons—high above, untouchable, and you rarely see them. They are also, as I just found out, are total pieces of shit—with a few *possible* exceptions. Don't put me in the same bag as them, please."

The Advisers had a collective moment of realizations, then all nodded eagerly. Their Father, of course, wasn't a piece of shit.

I told my girls about the entire divine situation, skimming over the complicated concepts like multiple worlds, courts, and laws.

"So, as I understood, soon enough, other creatures of this world will begin to rapidly develop and evolve. But how fast or slow this will happen, I don't know yet. We are likely to be targets, though, so we must put even more into our defenses in the future. But there is good news, too!"

I clapped my hands, grinning.

"I half-expected God of Humanity to give me some trash just because he can, but his rewards were amazing as I found recently… Let me tell you all about them."

As the "first blessing" of the God of Humanity, I got 'Dominant Genes' special ability.

〔Dominant Genes: all genes provided by the system become dominant. Retroactive.〕

The 'retroactive' remark meant that the trait gave its benefits to all existing Queens, although only my *future* granddaughters will get a full set of these Queens' genes.

As the "second blessing" of the God of Humanity, I got a choice of two special abilities: 'Harem Emperor' and 'The Purest Empress'.

〔Harem Emperor: by the end of every 10 days, all your attributes increase by 1 for each unique woman you coupled with.〕

〔The Purest Empress: you can declare a woman as your beloved for life. All progeny you will have together will have the 'Pure Bloodline' gene.〕

〔Pure Bloodline: increases all attributes by 10%. Drastically reduces genetic penalties for incest.〕

Although the second blessing gave me a choice, I have picked 'The Purest Empress' option, because it wasn't even an option. Even without considering the usefulness of the 'Harem Emperor' (minuscule), I wasn't about to betray Ambrosia for… whom?

The 'Dominant Genes' ability was the most important thing here. It meant that no matter how pitiful the Drones my little princesses got, their daughters will still have the full benefit of my genes.

I will probably even be able to morphotype them!

And the boost from 'Pure Bloodline' will definitely be useful, too. (I was going to ignore the incest part, though.)

"That is incredible news, indeed," Ambrosia said, leaning closer to me. Her seat was right next to mine, and her chest pressed over my arm. "My body was calling for yours since you were gone, and the brood cells of Hive Supremo became empty by now. After what you said, I can't wait to refill them with you…"

I blushed, imagining the pent-up lust Amby was about to unleash on me after we dealt with other pressing matters. A month of being on her own… And she didn't take another Drone, either.

"I can't wait, really. Let's see what wins—my endurance or your enthusiasm," I whispered in her ear and pulled back, clearing my throat.

"As great as these boosts are, they won't help us *immediately*, even the retroactive one. We still have a war with humans on the way…"

"Don't worry, Father. After the crushing defeat humans went through at Hive Supremo, we almost won this war. By now, Bloodimina's army must've almost reached their village!"

My eyes brightened.

"Ah, yes. But—even with everything you went through—I'm still sure we can conquer and enslave the surviving humans instead of killing *every one of them*. And this time, I have an even better idea of how we can do it. It will be *total* victory, believe me. I won't let humans give you a repeat of the last month."

I glanced at Undecided, who dutifully listened in the corner, so she could dream about her past self's experiences of listening to the Council sessions…

"There are a dozen generations now with the Chaotic Evolution gene, and I'm sure there should be at least someone there with a gene I want to see. So, listen to what I want you to do. First, of course, we must organize a small celebration so everybody I didn't greet yet could see that I'm alive and well—this is on you, Worriesgone. Next…"
