Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?-Chapter 1594: Time To Explain Things
-----
After a talk that ended becoming deeper than Aquarina would have imagined, even Pyuku had something to say about everything.
"I'll have to go back to my continent eventually, my home…" said Pyuku, crossing his arms. "I'll help you and Sylphy as much as I can as well. Although I am not exactly a Demon either, I was born there, so I consider it my home too."
"Thank you Pyuku, your help will be appreciated," Aquarina smiled, patting the slime's head. "Now let's go have breakfast before we go check on Agua again!"
"Ah yes, I guess we should get going, I'm quite hungry myself…" Pyuku nodded. "I wonder why, I usually am not that hungry."
"Maybe it has to do with you growing stronger?" Aquarina asked. "By the way Pyuku, I have been wondering… Um, should we call you boy or girl?"
"Huh? Hmm, well…"
Although he wasn't exactly a boy or a girl, as Slimes were sexless and usually genderless, Pyuku had absorbed a lot of the societal culture of the people he had lived around, slowly creating a personality of his own and also a stronger sense of identity.
"I honestly don't really care, I like being boy sometimes, but also I like being a girl… Or none? Could Slime be its own gender? With girl and boy combined!" Pyuku said.
Pyuku didn't really mind being called girl or boy, though he often had a boyish attitude, his genderless appearance was also like a boy with cute long hair, or perhaps a girl.
"Hahaha, I mean, sure! Why not? I'm used to calling you a boy though," Aquarina said. "Um, I hope it wasn't bad?"
It was hard for Aquarina to tell, although she still was used to calling Pyuku "him" and he never really corrected her or anything, without minding it.
"It's fine either way," Pyuku shrugged, very relaxed about that. "I usually don't even wear clothes other than the ones made from my body, but I prefer long dresses, and long hair, so I guess I'm quite girlish, huh?"
"Yeah but your voice is a bit manlier," Aquarina said. "Also you're usually more like Zack sometimes… I don't know why you remind me of him sometimes."
"Oh? Well I do like how Zack is," Pyuku said. "Maybe I absorbed some of his personality while I was developing… I like he's courageous and doesn't give a damn."
"I-I don't know if that was a correct personality to copy, but you aren't like Zack anyways," Aquarina hugged Pyuku and kissed his forehead. "You're your own unique beautiful little mix of emotions and colorful slime."
"A-Aquarina… thanks," Pyuku smiled, as he glowed slightly. "When you say things like that, it makes me happy and reinforces my own existence, somewhat… I guess our Bond as Familiar and Master is strengthened?"
"Maybe?" Aquarina wondered. "Anyways, I'm starving, let's go! Afterwards we can go check on Agua and go to the Oasis again! Maybe this time we can take it easy and swim?"
"Would be nice!" Pyuku nodded, looking forward to it.
Aquarina and Pyuku ran downstairs, but was quickly stopped by her mother's grumpy face, while crossing her big, burly arms.
Indeed, she wasn't getting away with what she did yesterday…
"Where do you think you're going with so much eagerness, young lady? Didn't I told you that you were grounded last night?" Nepheline asked angrily, tapping her arms while crossing them. "You're grounded for the whole day, and you'll remain here, studying magic rune inscription and new spells. Don't think I haven't noticed you slacking with your magic classes."
"E-Eh? You were serious?!" Aquarina gasped. "But moooom! I'm already old enough! It should be illegal to get grounded at my age!" freёnovelkiss.com
"It's not illegal… I am your mother, and I have that authority!" Nepheline said. "Now come eat breakfast and we'll talk some more about your attitude lately."
"Uhh… Okaaay…" Aquarina sighed, feeling really annoyed and frustrated.
She sat down and started eating her breakfast, it was as delicious and bountiful as ever though, being grounded didn't mean her parents would starve their daughter.
However, she couldn't quite enjoy her meals, eating while furrowing her eyebrows…
"Look Aquarina, there's something called responsibilities, did you know?" Her mother said, after drinking some of her coffee. "As you grow older, such responsibilities will start weighing you down more and more, if you don't prepare from an early age to do them, you will crumble down easily."
"What?" Aquarina asked while raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"It means that we're trying to teach you more discipline because once you go to the Academy, you will have to move around with very strict schedules, Aquarina," her father said. "If you don't learn to move around such schedules and go there, you'll end up getting expulsed for coming late to class, or not going to class at all, you know? Hero or not, if you don't avid by the academy's rules, you're going to get kicked out eventually after you anger the entire academy."
"A-Ah… But that's still far away in the future! And I'll be able to get used to it! I am being more relaxed now because I know I can…" Aquarina said. "I'm serious! Don't look at me like I'm lying…"
"Hmm, well…" Shade muttered. "Even then, you need to start learning and getting used to the schedules, young lady."
"You're also going to the inheritance next week, right? Shouldn't it be better if you stayed home for once and prepared?" Nepheline asked.
"Uuugh… B-But…" Aquarina muttered. "Ah, I'll explain to you what happened first! You didn't even let me!"
"Sure, go ahead…" Nepheline sighed.
"Hmm," Shade nodded.
"Alright, then, it's a long story, but…"
Aquarina quickly began to explain to her parents what she went through yesterday, that long adventure, the dungeon, then the village of the Oasis people, Agua, the mysterious ruins and the "rainbow conch" which they couldn't find, and also the many powerful monsters, and that massive swarm of overpowered lobsters that took them so long to defeat, but that were utterly delicious.
