Chapter 751 -513: Clichéd but Practical Shock_2

“Knowledge and cognition are the true eternal powers.” This idea solidified in Shen Hao’s mind.

As the points skyrocketed, the time for the second Fate Node approached relentlessly.

Later, the Manager once again exercised part of its authority, trying to weaken the strength of the Trial Civilizations, but each attempt was thwarted under Shen Hao’s timely protection.

Although this still caused some losses—individuals harboring resistance to Shen Hao’s power couldn’t respond quickly and perished—it didn’t deal a critical blow.

If anything, it made the Trial Civilizations even more united.

All Trial Civilizations were leaning closer toward the Human Civilization with increasing solidarity.

This left Shen Hao deeply moved.

The intensity of the trials was perfectly calibrated to favor Human Civilization.

If it had been set too high, Human Civilization would have faced the threat of annihilation; too low, and it wouldn’t have been able to accumulate such vast points during the trial nor acquire the kind of technologies and powers from other Trial Civilizations.

Currently, a significant portion of the points Shen Hao received daily came from other Trial Civilizations!

Though their contribution ratio couldn’t rival that of Human Civilization’s warriors, the sheer quantity of them compensated for it.

In this scenario, the Civilization Mall Level of the Human Civilization finally reached Level 76, approximately eighty years before the second Fate Node.

This progress had actually caught up with that of the Spiritual Power Civilization and the Heavenly Dao Civilization.

These two civilizations had started the trial with a Civilization Level of 76; the Spiritual Power Civilization’s Spiritual Ability Furnace even stood on the cusp of advancing to Level 77.

Yet, they had not managed to break through to the next stage.

First, they weren’t the primary combat forces in the early phase of the trial, nor did they possess Shen Hao’s twenty-times points hack.

Second, this was simply the normal pace for a Trial Civilization’s Civilization Level progression and its Civilization Mall Level improvements at this stage.

In most cases, even if a civilization achieved first place in the rankings three times during a trial, their Civilization Mall Level would at most increase by one or two levels.

The speed of Human Civilization?

That was outright cheating.

While every trial caused other civilizations to feel shock and awe, this awe never grew outdated; it consistently retained its impact.

After all, this represented concrete benefits and enormous potential!

Even within the Heavenly Dao Civilization, internal debates had begun on whether to affiliate themselves with Human Civilization.

Huan Yu, in particular, deeply understood why Human Civilization was reluctant to join the Trial Civilization Alliance.

In the absence of a civilization in the Ninth Stage, even if the Trial Civilization Alliance included Level 80 civilizations, how long would it take Human Civilization to reach that tier?

What if Human Civilization became the first to step into the Ninth Stage and evolved into the Heavenly Supreme Force, while other civilizations remained constrained at Level 80?

With such a thought, the choices seemed rather obvious.

However, this concerned the future of an entire civilization; it wasn’t a decision that could hinge on luck or chance.

The Heavenly Dao Civilization remained in observation mode.

Yet, the directives and behaviors conveyed by the Heavenly Dao itself appeared to show inclinations.

In fact, certain elites within the Heavenly Dao Civilization, under the arrangements of the Heavenly Dao, had already moved to the Human Civilization’s Mother Planet!

This was the final spark. Based on the Heavenly Dao’s judgment, even if the Heavenly Dao Civilization were to perish, the Human Civilization would most likely continue to exist and grow stronger.

Finally, about thirty years before the second Fate Node, Shen Hao’s Extraordinary Level officially stepped into Level 75!

“No matter what circumstances arise in the Second Stage, we won’t be completely powerless.” Shen Hao was now keenly aware that he was approaching the world’s upper limits.

This was, at its core, only a Level 77 world.

No matter how much the Extraordinary Rules expanded, the deepest-level Extraordinary Rule boundaries would remain immutable.

However, just because Shen Hao had the power to fight didn’t mean the Trial Civilizations did.

This was especially true for civilizations other than the Human Civilization.

Compared to Human Civilization, they were far more anxious.

The difficulty of this trial far exceeded their expectations.

In fact, just ten years before the second Fate Node, one of the Trial Civilizations—under the dual pressures from internal and external forces—held a referendum!

They formally decided to join the Human Civilization System and become an Affiliated Civilization of Human Civilization!

In the current rankings of Trial Civilizations, they were only ranked seventh.

Which meant they were second to last, just above the civilization already destroyed.

The gap between them and the bottom-ranked civilization was razor-thin.

Such a ranking was unprecedented.

It placed immense pressure on the civilization.

So much so that when the decision was finally made, the civilization’s internal tension broke, and there were celebrations in many regions—dancing, singing, revelry.

Trading freedom and sovereignty for safety was, in the eyes of many, worth it.

“The Ether Civilization.” When Shen Hao received the report, he wasn’t too surprised, though he still felt a measure of delight.

If translated phonetically, this civilization would be called the Orektia Civilization.

In their language, “Orektia” meant “Ether.”

It symbolized “the root of all power.”

They bore some similarities to the Spiritual Power Civilization, but instead of pursuing breadth, versatility, and broad practical applications, their focus was entirely on “strength.”

Their creation of Ether Energy could even distort dimensions at will and alter physical laws within a certain range, inducing a cosmic annihilation-scale event.

Undeniably powerful.

Yet the pursuit of extremes brought with it stark vulnerabilities.

Their resistance to the expansion and distortion of Cosmic Laws was woefully weak.

At the outset, they couldn’t fully counteract the unexpected Principle Expansion.

Even so, members of their civilization periodically succumbed to “Demon Transformation” as a result.

Their combat power diminished drastically.

They had always ranked near the bottom.

This vulnerability was precisely why they leaned toward seeking refuge under Human Civilization. Under Shen Hao’s protection, their weakness was mitigated to the greatest extent possible, allowing them to climb one rank in under three hundred years of conflict.

Thus, over these centuries of battles, their identification with Human Civilization only deepened and grew stronger.

Today’s decision had long been inevitable; many were not surprised by it.

Even so, their choice added significant pressure to the remaining Trial Civilizations.

Out of eight Trial Civilizations, one had perished, and two had now joined Human Civilization. Together with these two, Human Civilization’s combined strength now closely approached that of the other five civilizations combined.

Then, with just three years remaining before the second Fate Node, the lowest-ranked civilization—the one recently surpassed by the Ether Civilization—could no longer hold out.

They made the same choice.

This was the Spirit Core Civilization, the only one other than Human Civilization that had tightly integrated technology with Transcendence.

The entire foundation of their civilization was built on a technology known as “Spirit Core.”

These were Magic Treasures that could establish close ties to an individual’s Divine Soul and physical body.

They could even fuse with and replace the physical body entirely.

In the eyes of many within Human Civilization, they resembled “Transcendent Cybernetics.”

The Transcendents in the Spirit Core Civilization didn’t need to cultivate Magic or refine combat skills. They only had one task—continuously elevate their Extraordinary Level at all costs.

No matter how hollow their foundation became, no matter how weak their core strength.

So long as they installed suitable and powerful Spirit Cores, they could instantly transform into immensely powerful Transcendents!

The Spirit Cores, in a sense, were equivalent to the “Divine Power” of this native world but were far more advanced and brimming with potential.
