Secret Wealthy Marriage-Chapter 63 - Im not nervous
Chapter 63: Chapter 63: I’m not nervous
Chapter 63 -63: I’m not nervous
The call was from Emily Hill.
Even though Carolline Ruiz had been an adult for two years now, Emily Hill couldn’t help but worry about her when she was away from home. After all, Carolline was her hard-won daughter, and besides, this was probably a problem all mothers had.
No matter where they were, they always worried like this.
The mother and daughter chatted for a while, and after making sure Carolline was all right, Emily Hill hung up the phone.
Carolline took a deep breath. During the call, she was really worried that Emily would ask if she was at home now. Fortunately, other than caring about her safety, her mother seemed to be quite at ease with whether or not she would spend the night outside.
“Your mom really cares about you,” Bryan Hawkins found Carolline’s excessively nervous reaction amusing.
“Yeah, I guess all mothers in the world are like that.” Carolline laughed happily when talking about her parents.
“Yes, that’s right. We both were born into really nice families.” Bryan Hawkins nodded in agreement. He had a beautiful family – grandparents, and parents were all great. Carolline was the same, and that was their shared fortune.
Carolline agreed by default. She had interacted with members of the Hawkins family and naturally knew how great Bryan’s grandparents were.
“It’s getting windy. Let’s go back.” Bryan Hawkins checked the time. By the time they walked back and took a shower, it would be bedtime.
” Oh.” Whatever he said in front of Bryan Hawkins- Carolline would not argue.
It was already nine o’clock when the two returned home, and for some reason, Carolline started to feel nervous again.
“You go take a shower first.” Bryan Hawkins naturally noticed Carolline’s excessive nervousness.
“No need. You go first.” Carolline stammered.
“I took a shower before dinner. You’re very nervous, aren’t you?” Bryan Hawkins couldn’t help but want to laugh when he heard Carolline’s trembling voice. Was he a ferocious beast or something?
Recalling what Xavier Estrada had told him earlier—that Carolline had been bullied by a drunk—Bryan Hawkins’ eyes suddenly darkened. In a day or two, before returning to the Hawkins family, he would settle this matter.
“…I’m not nervous.” Carolline started being stubborn again.

” Alright, we’ll sleep in the same room tonight. Go on, I’ll go to the room first and wait for you.” Bryan Hawkins nodded and went straight upstairs after saying this.
Carolline stayed where she was, not knowing that Bryan Hawkins had said this on purpose.
In the end, Carolline hesitated for a long time. When everything was ready, she returned to the room where Bryan Hawkins was waiting for her. All the things Xavier Estrada had prepared for her were in that room.
And besides, they were husband and wife. Bryan had said that they were in a hidden marriage, not a fake one. So, between them, there would be no shortcuts in marital life.
As much as she thought so, Carolline still couldn’t help but feel scared. After all, while she had enough courage to like someone, when certain things were about to happen, she felt that her preparation and courage were not sufficient.
However, the fact was that Carolline had overthought things. When she returned to the room, Bryan Hawkins was already yawning repeatedly from waiting for her. The long-distance flight and travel exhaustion, coupled with the intensity of work during this period, had left him truly exhausted.
Some things, even if he wanted to do them, had to be put off for the moment. He was human, not a god. These few days, he had come back early and didn’t tell anyone else, just wanting to take advantage of this brief time to rest.
After this, he would be even busier.
Of course, he didn’t forget that he was married.
The reason for their hidden marriage was that the things he was going to do next required him to make such a choice. A hidden marriage, first, to prevent Carolline from getting involved in any way, and second, to better facilitate his plans.
Not telling his family was simply because his grandmother loved Carolline so much. Once she knew Carolline was her granddaughter-in-law, with her character, she would surely announce it to the world. He didn’t oppose announcing it; he just wanted to postpone it for a while.
These things, only he needed to know, and there was no need to tell Carolline.
“Why are you dawdling so much? Come up and sleep. I’m sleepy—I’m going to bed first.” Bryan Hawkins turned over, and within two minutes, even breathing sounds could be heard. Only then did Carolline hesitantly get into bed.
The tension of the whole day seemed to finally relax at this moment.
Carolline had a good night’s sleep, and at eight o’clock in the morning, she comfortably turned over and kicked off the blanket that had covered her. Her sleeping position had always been bad. Even when she tried to control her actions before falling asleep, she couldnotiveходре after would lose all control.
With this movement, she suddenly felt an unusual surge of moisture. As she opened her eyes and slightly raised her hips, another strong wave of moisture made her tremble with fear, and she quickly lowered her head to look. Sure enough, the bright red bloodstains were unmistakable on the light gray sheets.
Carolline felt extremely embarrassed. Her period, which was supposed to arrive in three to five days, had come so many days early this month.
She silently cursed her period for being so unreliable. Usually, she treated it so well, and it treated her just as well, arriving on time every month. At most, it would come a day or two early, giving her some warning when it did.
This month, on the other hand, there was no warning at all; it just came, and with a vengeance.
“… Alright, I’ll be right over. Thank you for your trouble.” Bryan Hawkins came out of the restroom, and Carolline heard him ending the call. As he hung up, he saw Carolline sitting on the bed, looking oddly worried. “Did you wake up? What’s wrong?”
“Oh, nothing, nothing.” Carolline shook her head and hastily made the bed, trying to hide the crime scene.
But how could such a crime scene be hidden? Luckily, she didn’t have to work today, and it looked like Bryan Hawkins was about to go out again, so she could take off the sheets and wash them quickly later.
Bryan Hawkins assumed that Carolline’s bed-making was just an attempt to cover her exposed white legs. He honestly hadn’t realized that Carolline had such a nice pair of legs. Unfortunately, he hadn’t been able to get a good look before she hid them away.
“I have to go out for a while. It’ll take about two hours round trip. Can you stay at home?” Bryan Hawkins asked for her opinion.
“Yeah, sure.” Carolline agreed very readily.
She was just waiting for Bryan Hawkins to leave so she could clean the sheets and go out to buy some daily necessities.
Bryan Hawkins frowned at her. Carolline didn’t seem to be the least bit reluctant to see him go; on the contrary, she seemed eager for him to leave.
In the end, he didn’t say anything. He changed his clothes in front of Carolline and left the house.
