"The curse... how does it affect you?"

"Such as?"

Fu Tong shrugged. "Rescuing 1,400 women from Black Sow Castle and bringing them to this fortress."

Huli Jiubai snickered and shook his head, finding the good deed system weird. Changing the subject, the elder asked about his clan's nemesis.

"What about Xiao Han Ce? Did you run into him?"

"Oh, I ran into him alright. I also got into a fight with a saint from his clan and his assassin squad."

Huli Jiubai's closed eyes opened, and his expression darkened. He was familiar with Xiao Han Ce's protectors, namely the elusive Purge Squad under Xiao Shashen. Huli Jiubai and Jin Xiongyan had fought them several times, but they always lost because of Xiao Shashen's squad, his stealth techniques, and his absurd speed.

The elder mistook the encounter as the reason Fu Tong got these injuries.

"You're very lucky. Most of my men died whenever we confronted the Purge Squad of the Xiao Clan. Well, did you manage to kill anybody or harm Xiao Han Ce?"

"Don't worry about it. I pretty much slaughtered the entire squad and literally deleted Xiao Han Ce. I didn't get to collect his head, though."

Huli Jiubai laughed for a moment and froze for a minute. When his brain registered the information, his bloodshot eyes widened so much that they almost slipped out of the sockets.

"THOU. DIDST. WHAT?!"

"I killed Xiao Han Ce."

"And I killed 100 members of that purge squad. Their leader is still alive, though."

"..."

"Oh, I think I collected a bunch of storage rings, but they are all locked. Can you help me get rid of the owner's Qi? I'm exhausted today."

Fu Tong dropped a hundred storage rings, which he had collected from the dead immortals that he had slaughtered.

Huli Jiubai deeply inhaled and exhaled for a long time, suppressing his chaotic emotions. His trembling hand reached for one of the rings as he inspected it with his Qi.

The elder fox landed next to Jin Yanxiong. He widely grinned while he maintained a humanoid physique, closed eyes, and a suspicious grinning face.

"Xiao Han Ce is dead."

The voice was soft and low, but everybody in the entire fox town had good ears. Jin Yu, who was controlling the cloud artifact in the secret dimension, also heard it.

Jin Yanxiong slowly turned his head, staring at Huli Jiubai with round eyes.

Huli Jiubai didn't stop there. He dropped another bomb.

"He said he also killed a bunch of purge squad members. Oh, did I mention that I also saw him break the concealment array of Black Sow Castle and destroy the entire floating island?"

Jin Yanxiong dropped the banner, which he had prepared to wave and rally his troops. The veteran foxes behind him also dropped their weapons and shields in disbelief.

After a moment of silence, they cried. Jin Yanxiong's tears covered his face as his human head slowly reverted to that of a white fox's head.

"...Have you seen Xiao Han Ce's corpse? Is the info reliable?" Jin Yanxiong asked with trembling voice.

"I stole a jade slip with Xiao Han Ce's Qi from his minion. It's already broken. He should be dead-dead."

Jin Yanxiong slowly nodded. He transformed into his true form—A nine-tailed fox. Looking at his men, he announced.

"My grandson-in-law has slaughtered our nemesis Xiao Han Ce! The one-hundred-year grudge has been quenched! Dear ancestors, my children, and our friends who suffered because of that bastard's perverted greed, rejoice! You all have been avenged!"

The 100,000 population of Celestial Fox City all transformed into their monster form and howled. Some cried while the majority nudged their heads against their comrades, consoling each other.

After minutes of emotions, Jin Yu came out of the secret dimension in the cloud and proudly smiled. She wondered what she should reward Fu Tong when he returned.

However, there was an issue. She saw and heard everything that Fu Tong had done in the past few days, including his interactions with Ji Zixuan.
