SEX WITH MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ-Chapter 178
Chapter 178: Chapter 178
- KILLIAN -
I didn’t just let her go without a plan or keep her distracted just because I wanted to or wanted her to remember the kind of pleasure only I can give to her, no.
I needed her mind focused on something else so I could take her phone. It’s not stealing if I’ll return it. Consider this borrowing for good will. I hate that she’s not speaking but when it comes to her, my understanding is unusually stretched to a level I never knew I had. It’s alarming at best but I’m happy she’s the one person I want to be patient with. The one person I’d ever be this patient with, everyone else can go to hell.
I dip my hand into my pocket and take her phone out. Time to do some personal digging. At least, there must be something worth seeing and discovering in this device. There better be or else, aside from the men I have watching her and ensuring her protection from a distance, I will do it myself. Or, which is the last alternative, I will make her talk in any means possible, just in a not so nice way. And she will talk because I won’t give her the choice not to.
I am not obsessive or crazy in that kind of way to not give my partner some kind of freedom, no, but when that partner has something worrying her that makes her act a certain type of way and tells me to hang on without giving a reason for anything, then that partner is begging to see a side of me she never knew I had. A part of me her little mind won’t even fathom and I’m not even joking.
I press the side button to turn on her phone. A lazy thumb slides up, unlocking her cell. What kind of idiot doesn’t have a passcode? I let out a frustrated sigh. Well, all the better for me.
I let out a smirk as I waltz back to my seat. Time to do some digging since the lady I’m with is not smart enough to talk. And yes, I mean this is the most disrespectful, respectful way possible, she’s my kitten after all, I still love her annoying ass very much.

“Remind me to tell you how big of a fool you’ve been to let this drag on further than it already had.” Natalie’s voice chimes from over the phone.
I went through Hazel’s phone and one thing I know for sure is that I’m furious. To think I made an oath not to kill the one person I want to murder right now is insane. Today just confirms that some people don’t deserve to be sympathised with. Some need to be gone from the face of the earth. After all, it’s easy to get away with and cover a murder.
I clench my jaw. I didn’t know how to react when I came across what I did and sought the wisest person I trust, Natalie, my second mom, and she is just as furious.
She’s right though. I have been a fool but I don’t need that rubbed right in front of my face right now.
“How do you suggest I deal with this?”
“Isn’t that easy? Eliminate the cause.” Natalie says that so freely. Trust me, all of me begs to do it but deep down, I know I can’t. Not because I care, or rather, care much, but because of certain past attachments.
Along with this pledge. My eyes falls on my wrist.
“Due to my contract with S, taking her out at the moment is not advised.” I say over the phone, my fist clenching. Hazel’s phone lies on my desk in front of me. The more I stare at the black, blank screen, the angrier I get.
“The contract YOU made, not me.” Natalie blurts out. The last thing I want is her to be involved or be a target but Natalie can handle herself and household quite well so I have nothing to worry about.
“Let me handle it.”
She scoffs. “Like you always do? How much ‘talk no jutsu’ do you plan to do?”
I swallow.
“You always seem to take that approach with her yet she never listens. Unlike every other person that crosses you! You aren’t the man to be patient like you are with that girl.” My hardened brows eases up a bit and I let out an exhale, breathing out my tension. There is truth in the things Natalie says. “And I still don’t understand why.” Natalie continues. “Is it until she kills the woman you’re with that sense will finally visit that thick head of yours? Cause right now it seems like you lost it.” My jaw clenches. This scolding, I don’t like it. But when I let my mind dwell on what she just said. . . I can’t understand it myself.
Losing Hazel is a thing I even want to graze my thoughts talk less of be a reality. There is wisdom in what she says, after all, Asami is dangerous and she’s involved with dangerous people. But so am I.
“Let me handle it, Natalie.” My tone masks distress and burden. It shouldn’t be this difficult. It’s not actually. I just don’t know what to do. Something tells me Natalie is reacting the way she is because she has better intel on what’s going on than I do.
“Sure. But if your calm approach does not change a thing, don’t blame me for what happens next.” Her voice is stern. I close my eyes and take in a sharp breath.
I accept her terms. “Noted.” I say.
I hear a sigh coming from the other end of the line. “I got rid of every file used as a threat piece.” Natalie sounds more carefree than she did a few seconds ago. The anger and detest seem to have faded. “Ensure to debug your house of any cameras. You’ve got a ton lurking around.”
Wait what?
Before I could utter a word, the call comes to an end. Natalie did not give me any information about what the threat pieces are in question but I’m sure she has a reason for that and I chose to respect it. My eyes linger around the walls of my home office. It was then the realisation hit me.
Asami and S, those sly bitches!
