She Asks for a Divorce Again-Chapter 141 - I Know Everything Now
Chapter 141: Chapter 141 I Know Everything Now
Chapter 141: Chapter 141 I Know Everything Now
Pei Yansi pushed open his daughter’s room door, just in time to see Shen Heyu also there, sitting beside his daughter, helping her build blocks together. The sunlight coming through the window shone on them both.
The tall and short shadows were elongated by the sunshine, creating an inexplicably warm and picturesque scene.
Pei Yansi’s hand paused, and he found himself momentarily distracted, not immediately walking into the room.
Shen Heyu heard the noise first, turned around, and when she saw him, she didn’t speak.
Yuexue also saw him, and she quickly scrambled up from the ground to run in front of him, wrapping her arms around him.
She hadn’t grown tall enough to reach his waist, only able to hug his thighs, and cooed, “Daddy! Mommy is helping me build blocks, it’s almost done!”
Pei Yansi showed a smile. He was never stingy in showing a gentle side to his daughter. He bent slightly and picked her up in his arms.
Holding her, he walked in and sat on the couch, letting her sit on his lap. The little girl, so tiny and adorable, made him feel an overwhelming fondness the more he looked at her.
He said, “Daddy has picked out a school for you, do you want to take a look and see if you like it?”
As he spoke, Pei Yansi took out his phone and opened the kindergarten information file Zhao Jin had initially sent for Yuexue to see.
Yuexue couldn’t understand any of it, but she thought the scenery looked nice, with plenty of kids around, it seemed fun, so she agreed right away.
Pei Yansi continued, “The friend you played best with at your last birthday party is also at this school. You’ll have a buddy there.”
“Thank you, Daddy!” Yuexue was incredibly happy.
Shen Heyu reached out and took the phone from Pei Yansi’s hand, looking at the information. It was the most prestigious private school in the city, with many stages, including a high school and middle school, even an elementary section.
Despite being a private school, the students were all there on their merits. So once Yuexue joined, the classmates around her would all be exceptional.
The school’s tuition fees were incredibly high, with a solid teaching staff. People with no clout in the city couldn’t dream of having their children attend.
It was clear that Pei Yansi had indeed put much thought into this for Yuexue.
She returned the phone.
Seeing that Shen Heyu only looked and did not comment, Pei Yansi asked, “What do you think?”
Shen Heyu replied, “It’s fine.”
“What do you mean by ‘it’s fine’?”
“It’s fine means anything Yuexue likes is good.”
Pei Yansi hummed noncommittally, noticing she still kept a distance and didn’t elaborate further, so he continued playing with Yuexue.
The laughter of father and daughter intermittently filled the room. Shen Heyu didn’t want to engage, but laughter has its contagiousness, and eventually, she couldn’t help but smile too.
When she smiled, Pei Yansi suddenly reached out and pinched her cheek.
She was startled, then realized, were the three of them getting along a little too well now?
Pei Yansi put Yuexue down and said, “Go play by yourself, your mother and I have something to discuss.”
Yuexue replied knowingly, “Are you and Mom thinking of giving me a little brother?”
“…” Shen Heyu was taken aback and asked Yuexue, “Who taught you that?”
Unaware of Shen Heyu’s flushed face, Yuexue giggled, “Zhou Dongling taught me! She said that her dad often carried her away, even though she was sleeping in her mom’s arms.”
“The next day, she’d wake up back in her own room. She asked her father what had happened, and he told her that he had something to discuss with her mom, and then after some time, she got a little brother!”
“…” Shen Heyu was beside herself with frustration.
Children’s words are pure and naive. Zhou Dongling must have been a child she met at her birthday party. Such innocent talk made her unsure how to respond.
Pei Yansi chuckled appreciatively, stroked his daughter’s little head, and said, “That’s right, would you like a little brother?”
“Yes!” Yuexue shouted loudly, as if afraid he wouldn’t hear her.
Pei Yansi’s smile deepened as he looked meaningfully at Shen Heyu.
Shen Heyu felt suffocated with irritation, got up from the ground, and walked away.
Yuexue, not understanding, asked, “Mom seems mad?”
“No, she’s just embarrassed.”
“Why embarrassed?”

“Because Yuexue is too pretty.”
Although Yuexue couldn’t see the logic in that, she knew her dad was complimenting her on being pretty and giggled happily.
Pei Yansi told her to play by herself and quickly followed Shen Heyu out.
Shen Heyu was planning to go to the company and was about to get into the car when Pei Yansi grabbed her wrist from behind.
She turned her head and said irritably, “What now? Are you going to cling to me even when I go to the office?”
“I have something to tell you.”
Having said that, Pei Yansi forcibly pulled her into his car. Shen Heyu struggled in vain and was pushed onto the back seat; there was no one in the driver’s seat.
Just as she sat up, Pei Yansi pulled her into his arms with one hand.
He spread her legs, made her sit on top of him, reached out to touch her brows and eyes, and said in a deep voice, “I know everything now.”
Shen Heyu turned her face away, not wanting to be so close to him, unwilling to let him touch her, and said, “What do you know?”
“Before, it was Shen Fanshuang who deceived me. I’m sorry.”
Pei Yansi was just stating a fact, but Shen Heyu didn’t understand what he meant.
She frowned, “What are you talking about?”
She didn’t know that Shen Fanshuang had impersonated her to ‘return the favor’ and gone to Pei Yansi.
All she knew was that the death of Shen Fanshuang had been used by Pei Yansi as a sharp weapon to hurt her deeply.
Pei Yansi watched her quietly and showed her the surveillance footage Zhao Jin had given him.
Shen Heyu of course recognized the person in the video was herself; bad memories of her youth were dragged out, and she just thought this man was insane.
She said, “What exactly are you trying to say?”
“It was Shen Fanshuang who lied to me. She used your identity…” Pei Yansi explained the whole situation to her and finally said, “Let’s remarry, Heyu.”
This was destiny. If it weren’t for Shen Fanshuang, perhaps he wouldn’t have noticed Shen Heyu.
Even though their beginning was terribly flawed…
He was just thinking this when he heard Shen Heyu’s cold voice: “Her lying to you is her business, your believing her is yours, and it has nothing to do with me. I am under no obligation to remarry you because of you two’s mistake.”
“I said, I won’t forget those things from the past.”
“I will not remarry you, let go, and let me get out of the car!” Shen Heyu struggled in his embrace.
Even knowing there would be no outcome, Pei Yansi studied her face for a few seconds and finally couldn’t resist, lifted her chin, and kissed her.
