Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 1508: Magic ruins (8)
In the end, it wasn't that hard to pass this intermediate test.
It only required the ability to fire off an intermediate level spell, so it was easy for my fireballs that were at the level of high grade spells to burn through all those targets.
Only this time, there were several strange looks that were cast in my direction.
It wasn't that they were angry that I stole targets from them.
It seemed like they were fired up because they were seeing me as a rival.
But in the first place, this was a team assessment.
There was no need for them to see me as a rival since our scores would all be added up in the end.
Still, that was the way that they looked at me.
"I guess that's just youth."
Though I thought this like an old man, there was a real old woman that was here with us.
As a high elf, Aisha was much older than any of us…
Once the targets stopped appearing, the same thing as before happened where the screen with the scores appeared. It was also the same scenario where I had the highest score when it came to offense and defense.
Though there was one thing that I had to be curious about.
"Just what is a passing score?"
This was the one thing that wasn't clearly stated, so we actually had no idea of how well we had actually done when it came to this test.
It was just what the screen was showing us…
After a while, the screen changed and it started displaying magic knowledge once more.
The magic knowledge that was being displayed was much more in depth compared to what was being shown previously. At the same time, it was clear that this was related to spells that were at a higher level than before.
Once this magic knowledge appeared, everyone immediately started absorbing it as much as possible.
That was except for me.
It was simply because I wasn't able to absorb this knowledge at all.
With my understanding of magic, I was barely able to decipher a few parts of this. It was impossible for me to actually figure out anything useful from this, so there was no point in studying this with everyone else.
Instead, I actually moved closer to the screen that was in front of us.
Instead of looking at what was on the screen, I was focused on the screen itself.
After all, this kind of screen could be considered special as well.
This wasn't the kind of thing that naturally existed in this world, it was something that was created with some kind of special magic. So I was curious what kind of special magic had been used to project this screen.
When I came up to it, I found that I couldn't touch it.
At the same time, I could sense the mana that was coming from it. It wasn't powerful mana, it was actually neutral mana that didn't have any elemental energy in it that formed this screen.
But that wasn't the important thing.
"This really is like the system's screen." I couldn't help thinking to myself.
The system that I was referring to wasn't the system that I possessed, but rather the system from when this world was still a game. Even the design of the window was very similar, though it seemed that there were also a few minor differences.
Along with what I realized about the voice, I couldn't help feeling even more confused.
That was because the voice that had announced the start of the test was indeed a voice that I had heard before.
It was just that this wasn't a voice that I had heard in this world.
Instead, this was a voice that I had heard in my previous world.
It was the menu UI voice from when this world was still a game.
A screen that was like the screen from the game and a voice from the game's menu.
The more that I thought about this, the more that the dots started to connect.
There was one thing that the Sorcery Empire was known for when this world was still a game.
It was the place where magic knowledge was the most concentrated, so it was also the place where the player would have to go to change into the magician job and learn more spells.
But to do that, they would have to pass a test in the magic academy.
When I finally connected the dots, I realized that this test was very much like the test that I had just faced. Though there were a few parts of this test that were different since the one in the magic academy was more comprehensive.
Compared to this one, it had more tests that would test other things as well.
Once the player passed, they would be able to gain new spells.
It was similar to how this test gave the person who took the test new magic knowledge.
"Is this a beta version of the magic academy's test?"
It made sense since it was hidden under the magic academy and all of the teachers had taken this test before. They had even created the spatial magic in the classrooms based on this test structure.
But if it was the beta version, what did that mean about this place?
They said that it was ruins from an ancient magic civilization, but the more that I learned about this place, the more certain I was of something.
This place really seemed like some kind of beta test area…
It seemed to contain things that would be found in the Sorcery Empire later on in the game's timeline.
Then did this mean that this area was like the place that I found before?
Was this leftover from when the world was still a game?
If that was the case, did that mean that there would be clues as to exactly what this world was?
