SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God-Chapter 94: Are they also vampires?
Chapter 94: Are they also vampires?
"You did good, blood initiate. You took your time but you have indeed prepared everything I asked for." Varnyx accepted the two drops of blood and the mana core with a polite nod.
"Alright. I need some time now to make the other preparations. Meanwhile, it would be best if you finish rebuilding the blood hall. With an upgraded blood hall, the ritual would go a lot smoother." The vampire then rushed away hastily without even finishing the conversation.
Damon could only let out a sigh. The old vampire was truly a task master. The after effects of that damned siege event was clearly unfolding. This guy was prepping for war and hence his attitude was completely different from how it was before.
This was a huge headache. Damon needed a lot more preparations before he would be ready for a full blown faction war contesting for a city. If he did not make it in time, instead of being a general in the war, he would become a mere spectator for the other NPCs. He wouldn’t get any rewards either.
He opened up the blood hall rebuilding panel to take a look at what was still remaining when suddenly he snapped to turn and look behind.
"My Lord. My Lady. please come this way." Varnyx was respectfully leading two familiar figures. Damon’s jaw almost dropped to the ground as he saw the visible changes his friends had undergone.
Mark’s thin fragile frame was no longer there. In his place stood a towering figure carved from dusk and storm. He was tall with broad shoulders and limbs thick with dense, corded muscle.
His skin had darkened to a dusky grey, like storm-forged granite, and faint golden-red runes pulsed faintly beneath the surface, snaking down his arms like living veins of magma.
His eyes burned not with the traditional crimson of vampires, but with a molten amber glow, steady, unflinching, like a furnace that never died.
His jaw was more angular now, his features sharpened with an almost statuesque symmetry. Even standing still, he radiated restrained power, like a mountain choosing not to move.
Damon could feel the mana pressure leaking from his body, not wild or chaotic, but deep, grounded, and immense. The kind of power that shattered battlefields through sheer presence alone.
Standing beside him was Kate whose short hair was no longer wild and untamed. Instead, she now had a blood-tinged long black hair and her eyes were deep crimson. Six globes of blood were swirling around her and she held a long staff in her hand that was atleast Epic-grade. freēwēbnovel.com
Her body had also completely changed now. Her tomboyish appearance was fully erased and in its stead was the figure of a beautiful mature woman whose alluring figure alone was enough to send countless men into a daze.
If she could be called beautiful before, now she was absolutely divine. There was a wild elegance to her bearing, a blood-born majesty that no clothing or weapon could fake. The way she walked, graceful, composed, deadly, reminded Damon of the ancient vampire queens from the lore books: beautiful enough to entrance kings, powerful enough to end them.
"Take a good look, Damon?" Kate grinned, fully satisfied with the stupid expression on Damon’s face.
Damon blinked once. Twice. "...You look terrifying," he finally managed, a grin breaking across his face.
Kate laughed, the sound surprisingly light despite the heavy aura swirling around her. "And here I thought you were going to say I looked hot." She twirled her staff once, and the blood orbs spinning around her pulsed with matching amusement. "But I’ll take terrifying."
Mark gave a low grunt. "I am right here, little sis."
"So?" Kate raised a brow.
Mark then helplessly shook his head at Damon. "I tried, dude."
Damon chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I am glad you both are alright. You were in that trial for a long time."
The three of them then discussed the details of the trial while Damon led them to a particular dungeon he had in mind.
"A 30-player raid dungeon huh?" Mark smiled.
"Why? Are you worried?" Damon probed him.
"No. On the contrary, I am happy to show you my new transformation and my skills." Mark’s smile widened.
Kate remained silent but she also had a confident smile on her face.
Damon couldn’t help but wonder how much exactly these two had powered up. Perhaps starting a faction war at the moment wasn’t a bad idea after all. He was deep in his thought and walking when suddenly he stopped several feet away from the dungeon.
"There are other players here?" Damon was surprised. They were headed to a level 40 30-player dungeon so it was really interesting that there were other players here. It was definitely a guild. Question was which guild...
Damon only had to take a few more steps towards the dungeon portal and he could already see the bright blue tabard with a serpent on it.
Azure Serpents!
A tier 2 guild from his last life. They had been a big deal in the beginning but then kind of fizzled off later on with many of their talented players poached off by the others.
"Should we stop?" Mark asked, also sensing the crowd ahead.
Damon shook his head. "It should be fine. They will probably mind their own business."
Kate tilted her head slightly, the orbs around her beginning to hum with latent mana. "And if they don’t?"
Damon grinned faintly. "Then feel free to go wild."
The three of them stepped forward, the pressure of their combined presence washing over the gathered Azure Serpent players like a silent tidal wave. A few of the guild members turned to look when one guy immediately blurted out.
"Hey! Isn’t that Blood God?"
"No way. That’s him? Who are the other two with him? Are they also vampires?"
"Damn it. They look so cool! I also want to change my race to vampire. Why couldn’t they make it one of the default races? This is so unfair."
Right at this time, a loud voice cut through catching everyone’s attention. "Don’t worry. The method to become a vampire is being published in the guild database as we speak."
