Chapter 27 - Cooking Zombie Apocalypse Version Of Foie Gras

After making sure Chloe was thoroughly subdued and unaware of what was happening, Ainsworth turned his attention to the gruesome task ahead.

The frozen zombie corpses were sprawled across the convenience store floor, their frozen blood pooling beneath them in grotesque puddles.

Ainsworth took a deep breath, his eyes glinting with anticipation.

With a casual flick of his wrist, Ainsworth activated Ultimate Freedom (SSS). The ability granted him absolute control over his surroundings, allowing him to perform feats beyond natural laws.

In the blink of an eye, a ladle materialized in the air before him, floating gently in his hand. With Ultimate Freedom (SSS), he could control even the smallest of actions. The ladle moved as if guided by invisible strings, dipping into the bodies of the zombies.

He could feel the virus inside them, wriggling like a dark energy, waiting to be extracted.

Without hesitation, the ladle began to scoop the zombie virus, taking it out of the rotting, decayed corpses and into a crystal-clear bowl. The viruses glistened as it settled into the bowl, taking on the color of a thick, viscous zombie blood.

Ainsworth didn't need to touch anything. The ladle, controlled entirely by his will, danced over each corpse, gathering the virus from their every cell.

Once he had enough, he set the ladle aside and gently placed the bowl of virus-filled liquid onto the counter.

With his next set of commands, Formless Kitchen Knives (S) allowed him to conjure a sharp, gleaming knife out of thin air. He sliced into one of the zombies, cutting open its belly and revealing the dark, rotted internal organs inside.

He carefully removed the liver, perfect for his next step. He had always admired the fine taste of foie gras, so he decided to cook it according the modified recipe he had envisioned.

The zombie liver, though far from pristine, would serve as the base for his dish. The infection-laden liquid from the bowl was then carefully infused into the organ.

According to his plan, the zombie virus would mingle with the flesh and transform it, turning the already putrid liver into a deadly yet potent ingredient.

"I'm pretty sure Chloe hasn't tasted authentic foie gras. So I'll do her the honors of tasting the zombie apocalypse version of it." Ainsworth muttered as he moved to work.

The liver, now gleaming with the added virus, would become the perfect centerpiece for his dish.

He began preparing the rest of the dish with expert skill, substituting the usual ingredients with zombie flesh — zombie muscle, organs, and the infused virus — in place of the usual luxury meats.

With the precise use of his God-Level Cooking talent, Ainsworth knew that the flavors would be subtle and complex, hiding the terrifying truth of the meal beneath layers of spices, delicate textures, and a blend of flavors no one could resist.

Once the dish was complete, he stood back and admired his work.

The zombie foie gras, the virus-infused meat, and other dark ingredients formed an eerie, yet gourmet masterpiece.

The aroma of cooked flesh and spices filled the air, and Ainsworth could almost hear Chloe's voice in his mind, helpless against the meal he had prepared for her.

It only looked eerie due to the zombie corpses and blood staining his temporary kitchen. But even a professional gourmet wouldn't be able to discern the zombie foie gras Ainsworth cooked from the real one.

Even the enticing smell of it made Ainsworth feel hungry which frightened him, 'This God-Level Cooking talent is too dangerous in the wrong hands!'

'Even something disgusting like zombie flesh can be transformed into a perfect replica of authentic foie gras. So couldn't I...'

When Ainsworth began to think about the possibilities of using his God-Level Cooking talent, he shook his head and decisively thought, 'It's fine using it this way if it's only for the sake of getting rewards from the God-Level Choice System.'

'After all, even if I'm wronging Chloe, at least it wouldn't be too cruel on her side since I won't tell her that it was made from pure zombie corpses and it wouldn't even taste like one as well.'

'But if I went too far, like when I take revenge against those members of the Eye Organization, it would be too absurd if I slaughter their family, and coerce them to eat gourmet dishes I made from their families' corpses while they remain ignorant of the ingredients I used...'

'Hey! Such a revenge plan doesn't seem to sound that bad. Those bastards were already damned for gouging out my sister's eyes so it only serves them right to meet such an end.'

Just when Ainsworth was about to convince himself to build a bottom line, he realized that screw it! Those damn bastards don't deserve his bottom line!

What mattered was that he wouldn't use it against his friends and family. As for his enemies, let them suffer and realize the consequences of offending him!
