Stuck in a Chinese novel-Chapter 437: Death
A.N.: Keep in mind that a complete transformation had occurred and all stats had been rearranged. Since he still has the power to absorb from 'Guardian', his physical stats grow along with him, while the remnant power went to either his Death Qi or Natasha as her privilege as the first party member.
If you have any questions regarding the status window, you can ask me in the comments.

Wei Jun looked at the glowing ball of fire making its way to him. In all honesty, he was quite confident a little bit earlier that he would be able to bear the damage coming from the ball of fire that was literally translated as [Meteor] in magician language.
"Kugh!"
Wei Jun was struck head-on by the giant ball of fire. He planted his feet firmly into the ground and was prepared to activate 'Berserk' if needed.
'But...'
It was reserved for someone else. Someone much stronger and dangerous in the castle, someone who was way worse than Clarissa, who was an eighth circle mage, or the headmaster, who was of a slightly higher rank than Clarissa.
As the Meteor engulfed him, he remembered the feeling of scorching heat that emanated from Li Fan Sho's draconic form. It was enough to not only melt his skin, flesh, and vessels, but even his skeleton had taken some damage from mainly his fists.
Yet the heat he was facing right now wasn't any better. It was on the same level, if not worse. Wei Jun surely had grown since then to bear something like that, but that didn't mean he didn't feel pain.
His class and Death Qi combined together to protect him from death, but the pain was still massive, not to mention that with him constantly burning and healing, his Death Qi took charge on its own and began to submerge into every fiber of his body.
Knowing full well what it would do, Wei Jun wanted to stop it, but he couldn't. He couldn't stop it because that was the only measure keeping him alive.

Wei Jun didn't know what was happening, but he was losing his death Qi, which was more than a million, like water out of an open tap. The only relief was that it wasn't being wasted, but since there was no information about which party members were receiving his power, he could only grit his teeth and endure because even through all of that, the immense pain hadn't stopped. His flesh was still falling off and then regenerating with Death Qi infused in it, making him an existence of death.
[Death Qi -100,000]
In less than two minutes, while the spell was still active, he had lost a tenth fraction of his Death Qi.
The worst part was, there seemed to be no end to the spell. He had [Veil of Death], [Qi armament], and [Qi empowerment] activated, yet still his Death Qi was going down like a waterfall. The only silver lining was that his health hadn't entered the critical stage yet, which meant there was no need to consume a healing pill or activate the skill [Indomitable].
"Fu*k!"
"Fu*k!"
"FU*K!!!"
Cursing was the only way he could numb the pain right now. His skin was melting, his flesh was eroding in intense heat, and even his organs were hurting. The factor that made it all worse was that the entire process would repeat at a second's delay all over again once his body was regenerated.
But...
[Body of Death has been attained]
[By the will of the administrator inherent Trait 'Son of Death' has been activated]
[Son of Death]

[Congratulations on obtaining the title 'King of the Dark Sea of Death']

[Title 'Monarch of Chaos' has been selected]
[Monarch of Chaos]

[Title Effect(s):

#2: Panic brings you power
#3: As chaos falls by your hand, your energy shall never end]
And suddenly...
'What?' Wei Jun opened his eyes, shock could be seen in them, along with the fact that he couldn't feel the pain anymore, before...
[Death Qi has been accumulated beyond a certain point]
[Death Qi cannot be transferred to the designated party members anymore]
[Death Qi has been accumulated beyond the limit]
[Transfer is not possible]
[Body of Death has already been created]
[Diversion of Death is no longer possible]
[All accumulated Death Qi would be released]
[Harm to the user if kept at 90%]
[Would you like to release it?]
[Yes\\No]
"YES!!!"
As if it were the only way to get out of that mind-numbing and pain-inducing predicament without using his backup cards, Wei Jun readily agreed, only for an explosion to occur right before his eyes.
Boommm!!!

"Haa... Haa..."
Clarissa took deep and heavy breaths. Not just her, but her colleagues were heavily tired. The magic they had just used was beyond their capabilities. A ninth circle spell that only a ninth circle mage could cast. With the fall of the ancient Ashguard empire, the secrets to the ninth realm were gone as well.
Mages were stuck at the eighth circle realm, and no matter how hard they tried or how many tombs or ancient labyrinths they explored, they were never able to find the secrets to a ninth circle spell.
So, after centuries of hard work, all they had managed to attain was a spell that could be cast with the help of a seventh circle and an eighth circle mage. The improvised ninth circle spell, Meteor.
In the distance, a miniature sun could be seen, yet to explode. Actually, it was exploding, inside of it, thousands of flesh-melting explosions were currently undergoing. While the outward explosion of the spell wouldn't be so drastic as that of the original spell, it was guaranteed to kill whoever was inside the magic, like Wei Jun was inside right now.
"It--It's finally over." A professor couldn't help but say. An unexpected variable. The boy who was unknown two years ago had reduced their kingdom, not just their academy, to that state, and to kill him, they had to use their most lethal card that couldn't be used just every day.
Even if they were skeptical of his strength, they never expected it would come that far, the young man who was nameless two years ago, their ticket to enter the Huanan empire through a marriage contract, the centuries old wish of the Britannia kingdom and of those before it extending back to the ancient Ashguard empire.
To see the very young man who was nothing but a pawn in their grand scheme to reduce them to that state, even prompting them to use 'Meteor', was a very demoralizing sight.
But, at least, it was over.
It was over, and they were free. As for the lunatic, they would do something about him when the time came, and it was now the time to recover.
Clarissa, however, didn't move.
There was a question on her mind. A question eating away at her like a plague. A nagging feeling she just couldn't ignore.
The question was very simple, in fact, but the answer to it was impossible. It was baffling to even think such a thing. But...
What if it wasn't over?
That one simple question plagued her mind. No one, even a dragon, could take [Meteor] lightly, so it didn't make any sense for Wei Jun to survive, but...
What if he did?
"Then it would be truly the end." Clarissa heard a voice and flinched. She turned to look at the man next to her, who had appeared out of nowhere, half of his face, neck, and arm covered in red glowing scales along with his pale human skin.
To answer Clarissa's mind-baffling question, he said...
"It's not over yet."
Shake...
Quake....
Tremble....
The world began to shake, the ground began to rip apart, and in the distance, inside the miniature sun, dark spots could be seen.
From those dark spots, the only feeling that could be picked up was...
"Death."
BOOOMMM!!!!
