Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts-Chapter 781: Great Alien Awakening
"Your Majesty!" The prime minister returned in a rush, his body covered in sweat. The reason he wasn't present in the private meeting was because he had been ordered to check any existing record about the Azilia Kingdom's territory to see if it was made by humans or not.
After a whole night, the prime minister returned with a panicked face.
"What's wrong?"
"I have found something that might be related to the ruins. Although I'm not sure how related they are, there is one record about this.
"Approximately 460 years ago, there was a monstrous alien terrorizing the land. It moved unpredictably and wreaked havoc in this kingdom.
"The heroes from this kingdom united and ultimately sealed it under the sea."
"Sealed it?" The king frowned.
"Yes. They specifically mentioned 'seal' instead of 'kill.' I'm not sure whether this alien is the one or not. However, I don't think there are many records about anything related to the sea."
Julius looked down, falling into deep thought. "Then, if it's a seal, should we just leave it alone?"
"I don't know how strong this alien was, but there's something peculiar stated in the record."
"What is it?"
"It's said that this alien feeds on emotion. The reason it was unpredictable was because it was simply chasing the emotion. After the heroes figured it out, they trapped it and sealed it under the sea, away from any humans to feed it."
"!!!" Julius gasped. "But doesn't that mean…"
"Yes. If the duchess investigates that ruin, there's a chance for them to wake up the slumbering alien."
Julius stood up and shouted, "We have to warn them right away! I hope it's not too late!"
"Y-Yes!"
…
Unfortunately for them, it was too late.
"Watch out!" Fenrir shouted.
In that instant, the duchess could feel an overwhelming presence coming from below. Anubis had extended his bandages and grabbed Nathan and Levy while jumping up. Fenrir stood between him and the floor, planning to use his body to shield anything coming toward them.
The duchess hurriedly waved her sword down, but it was too late.
All of a sudden, a massive black ball crushed the floor and gradually moved up. From that ball, several massive tentacles wreaked havoc, destroying everything in their path.
Lena managed to strike the black ball but she couldn't exert too much strength due to the lack of time, resulting in her getting pushed back. The other familiars also released their ena, trying to stop the expansion of the black ball, only to receive the same result.
"Go! Help the others!" Lena shouted, summoning all her familiars. She ordered them to prioritize the safety of all summoners, including the ones on the surface.
Fenrir and Anubis jumped up with Levy's familiar escorting them. Fortunately, the speed wasn't too much for them, so Fenrir simply broke the ceiling and continued upward.
Meanwhile, Lena stepped on the black ball and unleashed all her strength in a single strike.
The ena caused her sword to glow as a massive burst of ena struck the black ball, producing a massive shock wave.
Bam!
The building started to collapse, causing the pillars to lose their power and allowing the aliens to return to their original state.
The black ball was stopped for a moment, but it suddenly rose at an even greater pace, as if it was angry.
'What is going on? What kind of alien is inside this thing? Black ball and tentacles?' Nathan was furiously searching for any information in his mind but had a hard time identifying the alien.
"We're about to reach the surface. We have to evacuate the people there, especially Selena." Fenrir shouted, reminding Nathan about the more important thing other than identifying the alien.
"!!!" Nathan gritted his teeth as he glanced back, seeing the last ceiling to reach the surface.
The people on the sea floor couldn't help but notice the ruckus coming from underneath them. They subconsciously stopped whatever they were doing and turned to the entrance, wondering what happened.
All of a sudden, Fenrir and the others broke the entrance and emerged from the ruins together with Levy and other familiars.
Fenrir shouted, "Get away!"
Their hearts skipped a beat, but seeing how serious Fenrir was, they instinctively followed Fenrir's words and jumped away.
Even Lena's familiars released their ena, ready to intercept the black ball in order to stop it so that others could evacuate.
However, only Nathan noticed Selena wasn't here.
He hurriedly ordered Fenrir out loud. "Fenrir. Find Selena!"
"!!!" Fenrir noticed it after the order. Nathan wouldn't be able to fight properly if he had to worry about Selena's safety, so he hurriedly moved away, trying to find where Selena was. Even if he couldn't find her, Nathan would recall him in case Selena managed to regroup with them.
However, the rise of the black ball simply couldn't be stopped.
The ground was trembling as the ruins collapsed, causing the sea floor to sink.
And amidst all that rubble, Lena emerged first, followed by a massive black ball that pushed away anything in its path.
"No, you don't!" Lena shouted while waving her blade. Her familiars also released their attacks simultaneously and hit the black ball.
Bam!
The black ball stopped for a second, but as if it was furious, the tentacles broke apart the rest of the ruins and emerged to the sea floor, slapping all living beings around, including Lena's familiars.
"Kh!" Nathan gritted his teeth as Anubis moved around to avoid the tentacle while bringing these two with his bandages. "Go to the surface! We have to go to the surface!"
They nodded, knowing that the duchess couldn't unleash her full strength if they hadn't evacuated. So, all of them rushed back to the surface, planning to stay in the area or go back to the ship depending on the severity of the situation.

But during the ascent, Nathan couldn't help but widen his eyes, witnessing something unbelievable.
That overwhelming ball was actually not the alien's true body.
It was just a shell… a shell on the alien's back, like that of a turtle. A monster that had been sealed for hundreds of years had finally woken up.
