Supreme Master: Cultivation Starts After Recruiting SSS-Grade Talent-Chapter 38 - Scheme [2]
Chapter 38 - 38 - Scheme [2]
Ming's eyes flicked once more to the broken Chen Yan, and then he burst into laughter, a sound full of mockery. "Hahaha, Chen yan, since you've already figured it out, there's no point in pretending anymore. I'll be blunt, I orchestrated it. I heard your witch daughter killed Mystic Frost disciples, so I just gave them a small heads up."
He laughed and added. "I don't have to do anything, tthe Chen family will face punishment from the Mystic Frost Sect, and it's all my doing. How does it feel, Brother? Did you lose much? Has your little witch of a daughter died yet?"
Chen Wen's anger flared like a volcano, and he began to move forward, his cultivation power surging. He was about to launch himself at Ming, but a slender hand stopped him.
"Grandfather, you handle those below the Golden Core. Leave these five to me," Chen Yinyin said.
With sharp eyes, she locked her gaze on Grand Ming, her lips curling into a sneer. "You old bastard, open your eyes and take a good look. Am I the little witch you speak of?"
The words struck Grand Ming like a blow to the chest. His eyes widened in disbelief. He had thought the Mystic Frost Sect had disposed of her. She should have been dead by now.
But seeing her alive, standing before him with that deadly gaze, caused his heart to skip a beat.
Chen Yinyin? Was it possible?
The Mystic Frost Sect, with all its power and the Nascent Soul expert they had brought along, had failed to kill her. It was impossible. The Mystic Frost Sect was one of the top-tier sects in Taishan, and yet there she stood, alive.
But then, his eyes scanned the crowd. Where was Xie Ren? His absence brought a sense of relief. Without him, Chen Yinyin's survival didn't change much.
Even if she had somehow lived, it meant nothing without her master by her side. The Chen family was doomed regardless.
With a dark smile, he sneered at her. "Little witch, although I don't know why you're still standing here, it doesn't change anything. From now on, there will be no Chen family in Empyrean Cloud City. My Profound Purity Sect will become the only dominant power here!"
Chen Yinyin's eyes blazed with fury. She took a step forward, her saber gleaming with dark light. "You're full of shit! Dominant power? Watch how I chop you down!"
With a roar, she swung her saber with all her might, the weapon cleaving through the air like a bolt of lightning, heading straight for Ming's head.
As soon as Grand Ming saw the earth-grade weapon in her hands, his expression shifted. His eyes gleamed with greed. "This saber... it's an earth-grade weapon, isn't it?"
A cruel smile stretched across his face. Not only would he destroy the Chen family today, but he could also claim an earth-grade weapon for himself. It was a win-win situation. His excitement grew at the thought of taking it from her.
He unleashed a powerful surge of spiritual energy. With a flick of his hand, he shattered Chen Yinyin's saber strike mid-air, the force rippling outward like a storm.
Before the shockwave even faded, he shot forward like lightning, closing the distance between them.
"Little witch," he sneered, his voice filled with greed, "an earth-grade weapon in your hands is a complete waste. Why don't you be a good girl and hand it over to me?"
Chen Yinyin's eyes burned with fury. "You old bastard! You really think you can take my saber?"
Without hesitation, she soared into the air, rising like a crimson streak against the sky. Her robe fluttered behind her, the wind howling around her as spiritual energy surged from her core.
Ming's pupils contracted. "Golden Core stage?"
A twisted smile spread across his face. "Good... good... good! You've really surprised me, little witch. So young, yet already at the early Golden Core realm... and wielding an earth-grade weapon no less! Clearly, you're hiding a big secret."
His gaze became hungry, like a beast that had just seen prey wrapped in gold.
"Well then," he chuckled darkly, "once I kill you, your secrets and that weapon will all belong to me."
"Disgusting," Chen Yinyin spat, her voice sharp with loathing.
She stomped down midair, and a radiant lotus suddenly bloomed beneath her feet. "Bloom of the dead, rise!"
The lotus exploded into a thousand shimmering petals, each one filled with killing intent. Like blades of light, they scattered across the battlefield, some streaking toward Ming, others raining down upon the disciples of the Profound Purity Sect.
Screams followed.
Most of the outer disciples barely had time to react. As the petals reached them, their throats were cut open in silence.
They collapsed to the ground like falling leaves, their blood staining the earth beneath the Sect's shattered gates.
Ming frowned as several petals shot toward him. He waved his sleeve, forming a barrier of spiritual light, and batted them away.
"Not bad," he said coldly. "But that technique isn't yours to keep. Hand it over!"
With a roar, he lifted his palm. "Vajra Palm!"

A brilliant surge of golden spiritual energy erupted from his hand, condensing into a massive, translucent palm. It roared through the air, tearing clouds apart as it sped toward her like a beast hungry for blood.
Chen Yinyin's eyes narrowed. With no time to waste, she recalled the floating petals in a swirl of black smoke and wrapped both hands tightly around the hilt of her saber.
"Infernal Blade!"
With that cry, her saber trembled. A massive wave of black-and-gold saber aura surged forth, cutting through the sky like a falling meteor, clashing directly with the incoming palm.
BOOM!
The two forces collided with a deafening explosion, shaking the entire sect. Winds howled. Dust and rubble flew in every direction.
Chen Yinyin was blasted downward like a shooting star, crashing into the earth and sending stones flying in all directions. A crater formed where she landed, cracks spreading out from the point of impact.
Grand Ming, however, only stumbled back a single step. A smirk tugged at his lips. The gap in power was evident.
