Chapter 51: 52、You in the Depths of Memory
When the old lady finished speaking, her head disappeared completely, and the conversation between her and a young girl could still be heard from inside the room.
“Grandma, who were you talking to for so long?”

“A young man trying to court the girl next door, Ivy!”
Listening to the not-so-private conversation, Michael Gordon furrowed his brow deeply and stared at the tightly closed door.
Bringing a child? That little girl who resembled her, calling her “auntie” and sticking close to her, it was obvious that this woman had a soft spot for the child. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have had the chance to stand at her door.
But who is this child to her? Calling her “auntie,” is the child a relative’s daughter? There are no men’s slippers at home. The girl who opened the door, named Cathy, seems to be a nanny that she hired to take care of the child.
So, what is the relationship between this child and her?
Michael Gordon stood dumbfounded outside the door without figuring out the relationship, and his phone rang. It was a call from Calvin Gordon, which he knew was to scold him. He felt annoyed without having to think about it and pressed the hang-up button, then went downstairs and headed home.
Bianca saw Michael Gordon leave through the peephole and came down for Cathy to help her with a bath.
Cathy was a nanny Ivy hired from a housekeeping company. She had a refined and delicate appearance, with the air of a young lady from a prominent family, adept at handling housework and taking care of people.
Especially with Bianca, she was very attentive. Ever since she arrived, the independent Bianca had even started relying on her for baths, but also developed some good living habits.
“Aunt Cathy, do you think it would be nice to have that uncle as my daddy?”
As the little girl was bathing, she asked Cathy seriously, as if it would be good for him to become her father right away.
“That uncle, huh?”
As Cathy helped her lather up, she pondered, “He seems nice, but he may not be the kind of man your mommy would like.”
At first glance, that man was at the top of his game, sought after by women, and a man who attracts peach blossoms. He wasn’t suited for a quiet life, especially since Ivy was now raising a child.
From Ivy’s reaction, Cathy guessed she had such thoughts, so she didn’t even let him in the door.
“Aunt Cathy, you’re so smart. My mommy really doesn’t like him!”
As the little girl played with the bubbles on her body, she mumbled, “I don’t understand why mommy doesn’t like him when he’s so handsome!”
In Bianca’s eyes, a good-looking man should be liked by a beautiful woman like her mommy, but her mommy seemed not only uninterested but also rather disgusted.
It wasn’t exactly disgust either, but something stranger. She just didn’t know how or why!
“Marriage isn’t all about being handsome!” Cathy sighed and gently bathed the little girl, “Your mommy just wants to find a decent man who’s good to you to be your daddy, and that uncle is obviously not suitable!”
Having been through it all, she knew that having a child made them the most important thing in a woman’s world. Sometimes men weren’t that important. When she signed the divorce papers, she had thought she would never marry again and live with her child for the rest of her life, giving them all her love, but it didn’t work out!
“But that uncle is really nice to Bianca!” The little girl seemed dissatisfied with the answer and still wanted to get approval from Cathy.
Cathy sighed, just as she was about to speak, the bathroom door was flung open!
“Bianca, don’t ever bring up this matter again!” Ivy’s face was terrible, and her angry voice was obviously being deliberately suppressed.
Even so, Bianca still bravely looked at Ivy with dissatisfaction and questioned, “Why? Why?!”
That uncle was really nice, she really liked him!
Being a child, she only thought about what she liked and forgot whether it was her husband or her mommy’s she was looking for!
“Is Michael Gordon, the scoundrel, a bloody stallion! He’d impregnate anyone he sees, taking advantage of innocent girls! You want me to be impregnated by him?”
Ivy was completely infuriated and forgot that she had been impregnated by him six years ago.
She felt like these two, the father and daughter, were here to irritate her. She was irritated at work by the father and at home by the daughter. Ivy felt like she was going crazy, but it was a very strange feeling!
“What does it have to do with a stallion?” Bianca saw Ivy really getting angry, dared not to argue and lowered her head muttering to herself, “You’re not a virgin anyway, and you have a child. Don’t be so picky about others! In the future, everyone will reform, and everything will be fine!”
The little girl’s voice was faint, but every word made its way into Ivy’s ears. She was really beyond the pale, knowing no rules! Ivy was so angry that she wanted to throw her out!
The bathroom door slammed shut, and Ivy didn’t dare to stay there any longer, fearing that she would really choke Michael Gordon’s daughter to death in a fit of anger.
“Aunt Cathy, is mommy angry with me?” Having never seen Ivy that angry before and noticing her storming out, the little girl was scared and about to cry, “Mommy must be bothered by me being so nosy, she doesn’t want me anymore!”
Watching the little girl about to cry, Cathy’s heart melted, and she immediately scooped her out of the bathtub and hugged her, comforting, “That won’t happen, mommy will never abandon you. You’re her treasure. It’s just that there are some things you’ll understand when you grow up!”
Hearing Cathy’s assurance that her mommy wouldn’t abandon her, the little girl finally relaxed and stopped the flow of tears.
By the time Michael Gordon returned to the mansion, it was almost ten o’clock. At this late hour, he found unexpected guests at home.
“Michael, what brings you home today?” Risa Scott piled on a smile as soon as she saw Michael returning, “Did you know Alya was coming over, so you came to stay?”
Risa spoke and smiled, her gentle smile showing warmth and kindness, and anyone who didn’t know better would think she was really a generous and gentle homemaker. But Michael knew that all her beauty was a disguise for her filthy heart.
“Aunt Scott, that’s not a nice thing to say. It sounds like I’m involved with Miss Larson!”
Michael Gordon leisurely changed his shoes before sauntering over to sit on the sofa, “Mrs. Larson, make me a cup of coffee, please!”
“Brat, watch your mouth!”
Calvin Gordon saw his languid, sarcastic demeanor, and immediately admonished him.
“What do you mean ‘involved?’ Before your brain got bashed, you two were about to get married. Losing your memory doesn’t mean you’ve lost your heart. How could you forget your own woman?”
