Chapter 845: Chapter 30 Beating Up Odin

In the room, the fluorescent light flickered.

The leaders of Asa and Warner sat across from each other at the table, inspecting each other intently.

Since the commencement of the Divine War between the two clans, this was the first time they sat down together, calm and composed, to negotiate.

After a moment of silence, Freya spoke first:

“If Asa is willing to reconcile and end this Divine War, Warner can merge into Asgard and acknowledge the Immortal Palace’s rule over the Nine Great Kingdoms.”

Odin remained unmoved, a cold smirk appearing on his face:

“Let’s start with your conditions.”

After battling for so long, they understood each other’s personalities somewhat.

As the Warner queen who instigated the war between the two clans, Freya was not one to easily concede. To make her admit defeat and lead the Warner deities to submit to the Asa deities, extremely harsh conditions would be necessary.

Freya nodded, her voice firm:

“I have two more requests that you must fulfill. First, we must formally establish a Blood Alliance, declaring unity between the clans. Additionally, to show sincerity, each side must select three deities from their own clan to be sent to the other’s camp, serving as a bond between us.”

Odin listened and pondered thoughtfully.

Whether forming a Blood Alliance or exchanging hostages, these were reasonable demands that demonstrated Warner’s sincerity in reconciling with Asa.

However, the choice of hostages…

Odin frowned and looked up.

“I will be one of them,” Freya replied candidly.

Odin’s doubts cleared, and he slightly nodded in agreement.

He was willing to set aside prejudices and form an alliance with the Warner clan, particularly coveting Freya’s womb, hoping that this Warner goddess, endowed with potent Life Divinity, would bear him a descendant of Light to lead Asgard to eternal splendor.

Having reached a preliminary consensus, Freya put forth her second condition:

“Secondly, I want you to expel Hela, confining Death forever beneath the permafrost!”

“What did you say?!”

Odin suddenly stood up, his face burning with anger.

Facing the furious Asa Divine King, Freya remained composed:

“Death and Life are naturally incompatible. Her hands are stained with the blood of many Warner warriors. To mend the rifts caused by the Divine War between our clans, it’s imperative to exile her from Asgard. This is a necessary sacrifice. Moreover, the shadow of Death will envelop the brilliance of Light. This is a forewarning from my divination. Only by removing this threat can I peacefully bear you offspring.”

“To expel my daughter? Dream on!”

Odin flatly refused, sneering at Freya,

“And, there are certainly other ways for you to bear children.”

Facing the threat, Freya remained unshaken, defiantly responding:

“You may imprison me and claim me, but that does not guarantee forcing me to bear a descendant of Light. Moreover, before coming to the Immortal Palace, I told my brother, Niord, if I do not return within three days, to destroy the Spirit Vein of Valhalla and lead all our clan members across the sea.

At that time, under your leadership, Asa might suppress the other eight kingdoms and dominate temporarily. But without the support of the Warner clan, you will never fulfill the prophecy of Heavenly Destiny and become the true lord of the Nordic World!”

Odin, his face showing mixed emotions and his fists clenched tight.

It must be said, Freya’s words struck his weak spot.

As the Asa Divine King, he feared neither powerful enemies nor dangerous situations, but he was concerned that his dream of leading the Immortal Palace to glory would be shattered.

Seeing Odin remaining silent, Freya stood from the table, saying,

“It seems you haven’t decided yet? If so, then we’ll meet on the battlefield.”

With that, she walked towards the door.

“Stop!” Just as Freya was about to open the door, Odin finally made up his mind, his face clouded as he grudgingly answered, “I agree to your terms!”

For the sake of Asa’s Divine Business, everything could be negotiated, everything could be sacrificed.

Seeing Odin finally make a choice, Freya visibly relaxed, a satisfied smile appearing on her face.

Abandoning Valhalla and returning to a nomadic life was also the worst outcome for the Warner clan.

If cooperation could lead to mutual benefit, she didn’t wish to take that path.

Seeing her goal achieved, Freya turned around, preparing to return to the negotiation table to continue the unfinished discussion:

“Well then…”

“Creak~~”

At that moment, the room door opened from the outside, a tall figure standing at the doorway, inspecting the two inside:

“How you’ll deal with Hela, seems like… you haven’t consulted me?”

Hearing that familiar voice behind her, Freya’s hair stood on end and her face paled, instinctively firing a barrage of Cursed Bullets.

However, that figure was faster, darting towards her like lightning, a golden flame-wrapped fist aiming directly at the Warner goddess’s nape.

“Clang!”

At the critical moment, Odin threw the Eternal Spear, blocking the strike.

Luo En raised his eyebrows, turning his gaze towards his Blood Alliance brother.

Odin gripped the moaning Eternal Spear, struggling to calm the raging energy within him, gritting his teeth as he looked aside:

“Aren’t you leaving?!”

Freya snapped out of her trance, transforming into a streak of golden light as she fled through the window.

Luo En didn’t stop her, just gazing deeply at his Blood Alliance brother:

“Do you know what you are doing, Odin?”

“For the Divine Business of Asa, she cannot die!”

Odin bit his teeth and sternly replied.

Luo En gently shook his head, his expression cold:

“I mean, Hela!”

“…”

Odin opened his mouth slightly, at a loss for words.

“Lost for words? Then let’s communicate in a different way.”

Luo En spoke lightly, the doors and windows behind him automatically shutting and reinforced with Rune Sigils, creating an isolated space.

Odin’s eyelids twitched, instinctively raising the Eternal Spear to break through this enclosed space.

However, the moment he reacted, a fist as large as a pot slammed into his eye socket.

“Bang!”

Caught off guard, Odin was suddenly bashed into the wall, pain throbbing from his one eye.

“Ouch, what are you doing?”

“Beating you up!”

Luo En succinctly replied and snorted coldly, lifting his fist to greet Odin’s old face.

While fending off with the Eternal Spear, Odin tried hard to communicate:

“Let’s talk this through. How about we have a talk?”

“Talk my ass!”

Luo En curtly interrupted Odin’s request to negotiate, sending a punch flying through the defense gap of the Eternal Spear and Lun Rune, hitting Odin’s other eye.

Originally, only one side of his eye socket was bruised, but now it became symmetric, soothing to any OCD sufferer.

After taking a few consecutive punches, the pain made Odin grit his teeth and curse:

“Damn it, didn’t you say you were a Mage?”

Luo En narrowed his eyes, a cold smile on his face:

“When reasoning fails, I do know a bit about fists and feet.”

While speaking, another punch smashed into Odin’s chin, making the Divine King of Asa tremble in pain, full of grievance as he defended:

“Exiling Hela was the demand of Warner people, I was forced too, why are you hitting me?”

But rather than calming him, these words enraged Luo En even more. He decisively kicked Odin down, then straddled the Divine King of his Blood Alliance, pummeling him while sternly rebuking:

“Who forced you to ascend the Divine Position of Asa? Who forced you to take away Hela while I was absent? Who forced you to turn your daughter into that state using Induction Secret Technique?”

“…”

Faced with these rapid-fire questions, Odin was at a loss for words.

“Not speaking, huh? Silence means consent!” Luo En sneered, punching even harder.

Finally, after taking several heavy blows, the dizzied and battered Divine King of Asa raised both hands shouting:

“Stop, stop, any more and I’ll die!”

Looking down at Odin whose head had noticeably swollen and eyes nearly shut, Luo En coldly huffed and lowered his hand.

After all, he couldn’t really kill him, could he?

Having barely survived the severe beating, the sore Divine King of Asa rose from the ground, slumping against the wall, weakly saying:

“Okay, you’ve hit me and vented your anger, can I say something now?”

“I’m behind you.”

“Oh…”

Odin coughed dryly, turned his bruised body around, and tried to open his battered eye to look at his Blood Alliance brother solemnly:

“Loki, don’t you think you’re overstepping?”

Upon hearing this, Luo En could not help but snort:

“She is my student…”

“And she is my daughter! Do you think I don’t feel pain seeing Hela like that?”

Odin harshly cut off Luo En’s words, grinding his teeth as he spoke his heart.

Stunned, Luo En a little confused:

“Then why did you still force her into battle, sending her to the battlefield?”

“So what? My daughter is a daughter, aren’t the other Asa people also someone’s family?”

Odin retorted, looking seriously at his Blood Alliance brother.

Luo En pursed his lips, struggling to justify:

“I never said Hela shouldn’t join the war, but don’t you think this is too harsh for her? She’s still a child, deserving of a warm childhood…”

“Enough, Loki!”

Odin waved his hand to cut him off again, coldly questioning back,

“What do you think war is? A stage for you to enact deep teacher-student bonds, a tool to fulfill your paternal instincts? Do you know that while you and Hela play these home games, countless Asa people are dying, who are their fathers? Their husbands? Their children? As Divine King, shouldn’t I be responsible for them?”

“…”

Luo En opened his mouth to retort but couldn’t speak.

Odin paused, then slowly stated:

“Breaking the chains of Fate and achieving the Eternal Divine Business of Asa, that’s my mission. For that purpose, sacrificing civilians, personal guards, even my own children… if necessary, everything can be placed on the scale! Since I’ve made the decision, I’m prepared to follow through!”

He then took a deep breath, his deep-set eye seriously looking at his Blood Alliance brother:

“So, Loki, what exactly are you thinking, and what are you after?”

“…”

Luo En’s body shook, and he became silent again, his thoughts drifting.

Indeed, why did he come to the Nordic World?

To mature the World Tree, to harvest the Fate Fruit, to save his own Divine Era.

What happened then?

He turned everything here into a play of paternal affection and deep teacher-student bonds, gradually forgetting his own mission.

Indeed, Hecate called it right:

His emotions were too rich and delicate, making it easy to sink deeply into them.

Watching his somewhat befuddled Blood Alliance brother, Odin stayed silent for a moment before seriously adding:

“No matter what you think, I’m going to send Hela away, ensuring the alliance between Warner and Asa. You are free to resent me, hate me, even, you can kill me and take this position. But as long as I live, the decisions I make won’t change easily!”

With that, Odin got up leaning on the Eternal Spear, his aged body exuding a determination to fight to the death.

Everything was self-evident.

Luo En stayed silent for a moment before slowly stating:

“Sending Hela away is fine, but it will be my way.”

The answer was unexpected, and the prepared-for-a-break Odin was stunned.

Then, he reacted, nodding ecstatically:

“Fine! As long as Asa and Warner can form an alliance, everything depends on you!”

“That’s settled then, I’m tired.”

Luo En waved his hand, got up, and left Odin’s sleeping chamber, walking into the dense night.
