The Greece Antagonist-Chapter 863 - 37: Rope Tricks Are Your Specialty
Chapter 863: Chapter 37: Rope Tricks Are Your Specialty
Nordic, Midgard World.
Celebrian looked out at the vast expanse of snowfield before her and couldn’t help but cast a strange glance at a certain guide ahead:
“Do you really know the way?”
“Midgard, I’m super familiar with it!”
“But, you’ve had us going around in circles for two days…”
Feeling the resentment from Celebrian, Luo En couldn’t help but feel somewhat embarrassed.
Due to a sleep that lasted for centuries, the once accurate Magic Coordinates had long since been rendered obsolete with the passage of time, leading to severe discrepancies in teleportation. He had no choice but to reconfirm the route back to Heather Island.
Initially, Luo En was full of confidence, claiming he could find the right direction even with his eyes closed.
But soon, he realized that with the end of the Divine War between Asa and Warner, the human population had entered a period of peaceful development, causing the Midgard World to undergo tremendous changes. Many of the things he was familiar with no longer existed, making it difficult to even find an old landmark.
As a result, Luo En, together with Rose and Celebrian, had been wandering for two full days. They were still facing an endless snowfield, with hardly a village encountered on the way, which spoke volumes about the desolation of the region, far removed from the thriving Heather Island he spoke of.
Rose stepped forward with a smile and spoke up to save face for her new employer:
“Maybe the heavy snow has covered the old paths, why don’t we ask someone for directions?”
“Good idea!”
Luo En immediately nodded in agreement, casting an approving look at Rose.
Now, he probably understood why ancient emperors, despite knowing the moral flaws of treacherous and flatterers, still preferred to employ them.
The reason was simple: they were convenient and comfortable.
Seeing that two members of the party agreed, Celebrian no longer dwelled on the issue. She nodded and followed their steps, starting to look for traces of villages and passersby nearby.
However, due to the apparent remoteness of the area, the trio wandered until dusk without catching a glimpse of any town or village.
As night fell, white mists surged from all around. Looking at the cold snow and the gloomy forest, a wave of gloom couldn’t help but spread across Celebrian’s face.
It seemed they were going to spend another night in the snowfield.
As an elf princess accustomed to luxury, she had experienced all kinds of hardships for the first time on this trip she never knew before.
Just as Celebrian was about to complain, Rose’s voice came from ahead:
“There seems to be light from flames!”
Rose jumped down from the treetop and pointed out the location:
“Southeast, about 2 kilometers.”
“What are we waiting for, let’s hurry!”
Upon hearing the good news, Celebrian’s spirits lifted, and she hurriedly pulled Rose towards the direction indicated, completely forgetting about the person she was supposed to protect.
Seeing this, Luo En’s face darkened.
After spending a few days together, he had gradually gained a clearer understanding of the character of his two elf subordinates.
Rose could be described as the epitome of the irremediable evil of the Dark Elves–deceitful, cruel, fickle, harboring malice towards everyone, always coveting the lives and Magic Power of others, intending to convert them into sustenance to strengthen herself; Yet, she also knew how to read situations sensibly, aware of what could or could not be done, adept at concealing her malicious intentions and presenting herself as harmless.
Throughout their journey, Rose’s performance had been almost flawless. If Luo En wasn’t fully aware of the Spider Goddess’s disposition, he might have actually deemed her as a Dark Elf inclined towards the Light.
In comparison, Celebrian seemed quite naive.
Although she possessed early wisdom and keenness, the arrogance and capriciousness born from the sense of superiority of the Longevity Species occasionally led her to make erroneous judgments, resulting in bitter consequences.
One instance was her servitude being extended from three hundred years to a life sentence;
Another was her suspicion towards Luo En and her naive trust in Rose.
Little did she know, what Luo En valued was Celebrian’s worth and labor, while Rose desired her to fall from grace to control the entire Elf Clan of Light Elves.
Forget it, the growth and maturation of intelligent life always require a process.
Compared to the two deities in the team, Old Deng, she was still just an underage child. One shouldn’t be too demanding.
Luo En shook his head and reluctantly followed.
Moments later, the trio followed the light and arrived at a clearing.
The bright yellow Flames danced on the tinder, and the bubbling pot on the rack filled the air with the fragrance of stewed fungi and jerky. A tall figure, wearing a grey-white hooded fur cloak with two sheathed Longswords on the back, was squatting in the snow, setting up a tent.
“Who’s there?”

As the trio approached, the figure in front of the tent seemed to hear the crunching sound of boots on the snow and swiftly stood up, looking back. A hand raised to the hilt of the silver Longsword, ready in a defensive posture.
Detectable from about 100 meters away? Good hearing, and the alertness is up to the standard.
So, not an ordinary person?
Luo En thoughtfully raised his head, scrutinizing the silhouette before the firelight.
It was a tall young girl with emerald-green eyes as beautiful as her gemstone, skin as pale as snow, with features sharp and prominent. Her silver hair was practically tied up at the back of her head.
The Longsword she had half-drawn from behind appeared to be made of Mithril, exuding elegance and sharpness, with a hilt inlaid with gemstones meant to conduct Magic Power.
Not far away, a pure white steed, without a hint of any other color, was tied to a tree, resting serenely in the snow.
