Milo was sitting in a familiar living room. It had been a long time however, since he had last sat inside. Picking up his drink, he took a few large gulps before placing it down. A moment afterwards, the door to the room opened and the owner entered.

"Valerica. It is good to see you. I didn't expect you to set up a private visit in your home after years. What can I do for you?" The seven foot woman said nothing, simply taking her seat in front of Milo. Waiting for something.

Turning to the door, he still wasn't there causing her to frown. "Hank!" She yelled, just as the old man rounded the door. "Don't raise your voice young lady." He said shuffling with a stack of documents in his hand.

Valerica placed her hand on her forehead watching the man who refuses to retire shuffle forward with her documents. "Hank, you are going to give yourself another heart attack. Let me hel-" "No!"

Milo and Valerica watched Hank for a couple of minutes until he made his way to the centre desk with the large pile of documents, placing them down that followed with him cracking his back. "Ooh! Ahh! The twinge is gone! Oh is that a beer?" Hank then picked up Milo's drink and with the vigor of someone over a hundred years younger than he was, downed the remainder without issue.

"Ahh, that's better. Goodness, look at this room. I will need to get the ladder out, it's filthy up there..." Hank proceeded to make some weird mouth sounds as he looked around the room until he heard his name shouted. "HANK!"

"What is it Sophia? I am right here, again there is no need to shout." He said. Valerica's hand threatened to push through her forehead. She had been calling him for over a minute after all.

"Hank, you need hearing aids. Now leave us." Hank bowed, mumbling about not having machines in his ear and about being a healthy natural human as he went.

"I cannot believe that old coot still works for you Valerica. His work ethic is something else." Milo said, trying to lighten the mood, but his mother in law just stared at him before she shoved the papers over.

"Read them. Sign them. I have had the liberty of inviting your lawyer over for your own protection. Maro!" At that name, Milo sat up to the best of his ability. He has always had a little crush on this woman after all.

In walked a beautiful woman with long black hair. Milo however was staring directly at the blouse of the woman that struggled to keep in her H cups. Sitting down next to Milo she smiled. "Milo, Lady Valerica. Let's get to work shall we?" She said, ignoring the gaze of the fat man beside her. She didn't mind the gaze as work was work, the client was irrelevant.

"Ok, while you two read that. I am going to go have a quick workout. Living with my daughter on Euc 4 these last months is turning me fat." Valerica said, like her abs were not out for everyone to see. After watching Valerica leave. Maro whispered. "Goodness, I'd kill for an ass like that." Before picking up one of the documents in front of her and began perusing.

Milo, the natural ladies man he was, responded. "Oh, a great ass isn't everything. Besides, your other assets are beyond enticing." Maro looked up at her client and sighed. "Now really isn't the time Milo. You might want to start reading. All these documents are about you after all."

'About me?' Milo then averted his gaze, reluctantly, and upon opening a document and reading the headline, he stood up in anger and shouted. "What!"

Thirty minutes later, Valerica had just finished some heavy weights as she had no time to do any real cardio. After a quick rinse and putting on a T-shirt she stole from her son and a pair of leggings, she returned to her living room.

As soon as she did, she heard yelling directed straight at her. "Are you two insane! Divorce! Now! After all this time? Was that your plan? Have my own Sepiida divorce me first and before I even get over that hit to my image, now Kathrine finally wants to divorce? We had an arrangement. We barely had to speak to each other? So why now? Answer me woman!"

Valerica looked down at Milo with a smidge of respect for standing up to her. However. "Milo, go sit down before you hurt yourself." The feeling of being emasculated made him want to do something incredibly stupid, but he was actually smart, something his body was currently thankful for, and went to go and sit down.

Valerica then took her seat as well, pouring herself a glass of wine first before she began. "First things first Milo. We had absolutely zero idea about Talia's desire to leave you. Her showing up on our doorstep on a completely different planet was a surprise to us as well. Second-"

"Do you really expect me to believe that? That my loving wife just happened to fall out of love with me like that? It makes no sense." Milo interjected, causing Valerica to sigh. "Milo, take a look at who is to your right again and have the audacity to tell me I am lying again. I dare you."

Milo did as was told and looked at Maro who flashed him a soft smile. "Oh..." He said out loud. Realising something before turning back to Valerica. "I see. Then what is your plan? Why now of all times? I have been running the company smoothly for decades. Why would you try to shove me out now? It makes no sense."

Valerica crossed her legs, taking in the smell of her wine before having a sip. She then looked at Milo and spoke coldly. "I never liked you Milo. You were a calculated political marriage and that was it. I have only kept your whoremongering sack of fat around because, as you said, you have been running the company very well. The truth is. There was no plan to kick you out. We were just waiting for you to die in a couple of years from a heart attack or something and move on. But my baby has gone and fallen in love with the most incredible man and he is going to be joining our family. We can't have reminders of the past around after all."

"Who is he? Wait... Don't tell me it was that teenager from the party? What was his name again? Alan? Aaron? Something stupid like that. Are you insane? What would he want with Kathrine's old, used up snatch? Valerica, are you sure this isn't some gold-digging trap you have fa-"

*Thwack*

Milo didn't even see the movement before the pain came and his hearing in his left ear disappeared. Before he could begin to whinge, Valerica sternly spoke. "Now that was a warning slap because you are in a state of surprise with all this going on. But if you even DARE to talk badly about my son again. I will end you. You know I have the power to do so and get away with it."

Milo looked to Maro for support, but she just looked away as this was clearly a different matter that she was not brought in for.

"Now, I will forgive your attempt to slander Apollo this once, but if it comes up again... Well. Best not to think about it. Now, moving on, as if we continue to talk about it I will just get mad again and perhaps forget to hold back next time. As you have read, you won't be going without anything of course. We are willing to compensate you for your hardship. You will keep all of your wealth, your remaining Sepiidan's and property outside of the core worlds."

Maro then cut in. "Actually my lady, Milo and I discussed it. He would like to keep one property on the planet of... Gorgaana. The tranquillity of the jungle world will ease his suffering during such an emotional turmoil."

Valerica pulled out a start chart hologram for a moment and typed in the name. It was as far east as you could go while still remaining in the core worlds. Valerica had no problem with this. "Fine. You can have your property there." ƒrēenovelkiss.com

"On top of the properties, we are also willing to buy out your shares of the family percentage of the company for two-" "Six" Maro interjected, causing Valerica to grumble a moment. "Six percent above the market value. With that and your family ties. You won't have to work another day in your life if you so choose. You could spend all your days fucking and eating on that jungle planet, or wherever else you choose to live. All you have to do is sign the papers."

Milo looked down at the papers in front of him with a frown on his face. He could be petty. Refuse and take it though the courts. Waste years of Kathrines life. 'Though to her and her extended lifespan, it would just be a blip.' He thought.

He then thought about how they were when they first met. They both never loved each other, but tried to make things work. The orgies at the start were a blast of course, then came the kids in an attempt to build something together, but no feelings arose. He couldn't quite remember when the hate began to grow, but it did.

Perhaps now was a chance to reset? Say goodbye to all the years of hate and spite and build a new start with his lovely Sepiidan wives away from all the shit that had been keeping him down. He wished Talia was also coming with him, but some things in life just don't work out.

After a long deep sigh. He looked up at Valerica with a surprising calm that took her by surprise and said.

"Very well Valerica. I will sign."
