Chapter 126: 125. Dorm Life (1)

Eric stepped ahead and faced Viella who stood in front of him with a chain sickle that was attached to her waistbelt.

The kids living here had selected their weapons based on their liking and ability to maneuver it. So, even if now their skills would be rusty they would polish it with time and keep growing stronger.

Rune came over and stood beside me with his clothes in a very bad state. I took off my cloak and placed it over his shoulders while wrapping my arm around him.

"Don’t worry about it. These kids are naturally swift and adept in using mana that’s why they are better fighters." I said and he sighed.

Eric and Viella’s fight started and they stood silently watching each other. This seemed like a serious fight as I could see their mana clashing against each other’s in the air.

"This will be interesting." I mumbled and Rune looked at me.

Both Eric and Viella moved from their spots at the same time and I could see their blades clashing against each other’s, sending the shockwaves all around.

"Wha..." Rune gasped.

Unlike his fight, this one went for a bit more time but just like Rune, Eric was defeated as well and Viella landed with her chain sickle recoiling back to her.

The kids cheered while Eric wiped his sweat and looked at his other opponent who stepped ahead.

"Rowan, huh..." I mumbled.

"Is something wrong?"

"Rowan is the most ruthless and unpredictable one here, I just hope Eric doesn’t get too much hurt." I explained.

Eric and Rowan stood in front of each other and Rowan whirled his large hammer before placing it on his shoulders.

"I’ll make you cry, Gold boy!" Rowan announced and Eric frowned.

The fight started and I could see Rowan already trying to smash Eric but Eric was fast enough to dodge his attacks. I observed as the firy trail followed with Eric’s movements and I guess even Rune noticed it as he leaned ahead with a gap on his mouth as he stared at Eric.

"Eric’s mana manifests when he fights that’s why I brought him here." I spoke up.

"Bu-But how..." Rune gasped.

"He’s been training like crazy since a few months, just like these kids he had been going at it that’s why there’s this much improvement in a short time."

"Will I be able to do it as well?" Rune wondered.

"Why not? You will be staying here for now on, after your classes start your weekends will be here as well." I said and he nodded.

Just then Eric and Rowan’s weapons clashed sending the shockwaves, in the end Eric lost and Rowan laughed triumphantly.

"Hah! Told you, I’ll win!" Rowan cheered for himself and I chuckled.

"He’ll probably be over the moon if he knew he just defeated the future King of this kingdom." Kent mumbled.

"Tell me about it." I muttered.

"Master, did you see that?!" Rowan shouted and I smiled.

"I did, good job!"

"I’ll defeat you the same way!" Rowan challenged me making some of the kids snort including Kent.

"Aha, then why don’t we see it now?" I said as I stepped ahead.

"Eh?! Not fair!" The kids whined.

"We want to fight too!"

"Master, fight us too!"

"Master, please!"

I sighed as it ended up with me being against eleven elf-dwarf kids and two human kids.

"Why are you two there as well?" I asked looking at Eric and Rune.

"If it’s a fight against you, how can I not participate?" Eric said as he pointed his sword at me.

"I want to try fighting with you for once as well." Rune said as he got into his fighting stance as well.

"I’ll fight using magic." I spoke up.

"All the more fun."

"I’ll be off the ground then," Kent said as he scurried away carrying my cloak in his arms.

I faced the kids who seemed to be too eager to get beaten up, I felt my mana whipping around as my Dragon’s Presence was activated. The air blew around me like a typhoon and I could see the kids getting ready to attack.

"Are you going to stand there all day?" I asked and the kids moved at once in synchronisation.

I saw the flying weapons whooshing through the air and I created a water whirlpool which whipped around me catching the weapons and the ones who had lunged.

"Whoa!" I heard gasps and curses as the whirlpool threw the kids away and I lowered its intensity.

Eric and Rune along with those who carried short-ranged weapons took their chance now and I smiled as they didn’t realise the water balls that were already in places to take them out.

I tilted my head slightly as the water balls changed shapes and clashed against their weapons making them all lose balance before the whirlpool blew again making them fly away.

I stayed in my place without moving an inch as the kids around were busy being thrown off before they came at me again and again.

It was fun to see them being so driven yet, they were a hundred years too early to try to challenge me.

I dissolved the whirlpool and the kids at once seemed like the got the chance.

"Attack!" Someone shouted and all the kids attacked at once.

I smiled as they fell for it so easily, I waited till they all were close enough before I summoned a huge water dragon which swallowed them all up.

The dragon flew high up in the air and circled for a few seconds before it landed and burst like a water balloon releasing all the kids.

Everyone coughed and threw up water as they lay on the ground completely drenched.

"Wha-"

"A Dra...gon."

The kids slowly got back to normal still coughing and wringing away water from their clothes. I led them all inside the manor, they got changed and then gathered in the drawing room near the fireplace.

"That was insane!"

"We got defeated again though..."

"Master’s magic is so amazing!"

"A Dragon made of water!"

"Only Master can pull something like that!"

"But that was such a huge Dragon!"

The kids spoke cheerfully and I sensed Roan and Remi entering with Enora.

"A Dragon?" Roan asked as he entered the drawing room.

"Ah, it’s Big Brother Roan and Remi!"

"How are you kids?" Roan asked as he put down the basket.

"I made a lot of cookies so I brought them here." Enora said.

"Cookies!"

"Yay!"

The kids shouted as they gathered around the basket while Enora handed them cookies.

"What were you talking about though?" Remi asked.

"Hm mhuh nmh." Rowan spoke while eating and I shook my head.

"Eat first then talk."

"We were talking about the big water dragons that Master created just a few minutes ago!"

"Yes, we all were fighting Master and with just one attack he just whooshed! And then bam! Slammed us on the ground!" Rowan explained.

Roan didn’t look surprised along with Remi as they had seen me do that before.

"Well, he defeated the Tyrant of Mordino the same way." Roan shrugged his shoulders as he popped one cookie in his mouth.

"The entire Mordino saw that large Dragon." Remi added.

The kids stared at the two whole Eric and Rune turned to look at me.

"You... defeated the Tyrant yourself?" Eric gasped.

"I thought you said you were going to be there only to help." Rune said.

"I did help." I reasoned and the kids turned to me and gathered near mem

"Whoa! Master, that’s so amazing!"

"Ah, I wish I was there!"

"I wanted to see it too!"

I smiled as I let them fawn over it a little before they announced that they would train harder and grow stronger.

"Come to think of it, Remi have you decided what to do?"

"Yes? Ah... I was thinking of helping out Mr Roan."

"Hm... I was thinking that you could stay here and train with the kids,"

Remi’s face paled and the kids looked at him.

"New member!" They cheered and Remi shook his head.

"No! No, I-I don’t want to!" Remi cried out and managed to wiggle out of the kids’ grip before hiding behind Roan.

"It’s fine, you kids already have two big brothers who will live here."

"Will they share a room too?" Sylvia asked.

"Share a room?" Rune and Eric asked in unison.

"Yes, dorm life perks, you share a room with another."

"But..."

The two looked at each other.

"Hm? You don’t want to?" I asked.

"We all live like that too." Sylvia said.

"Yes, I and Sylvia share a room." Viella said.

"It’s fun to stay like that,"

"We fight too at times, but it’s still fun to stay together that way we can watch each other’s backs."

"Right, and we all can even look after each other if someone falls sick."

The kids started telling about their experiences about living together and Eric and Rune seemed to be contemplating about it.

"While you’re here you can forget about your status or etiquette, you can be simple people here and have fun while you train and work." I said making the two boys look at each other.

"Well... it doesn’t sound so bad." Rune said.

"It’s the first time that I will experience something like that." Eric admitted.

"Training is fine but I’ve never done the household work before."

"Don’t worry, we’ll whip you into shape in no time." Rowan said as he cracked his knuckles.

I could see the dark air emanating from the kids as they looked at Eric and Rune.

"Well, I guess I can leave them in your hands then." I said.

From then on started, Rune and Eric’s dorm life which I hadn’t expected would end up becoming a vital point in strengthening their relationship.
