The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 28 – He deserved it.
Chapter 28: Chapter 28 – He deserved it.
"Robin, what the fuck has gotten into you?" Daniel asked through his craggy pants, confused, while he maintained his grip on Robin to keep him from pouncing on Devin again. He was not close enough to hear everything since his priority was to ensure that his best friend was fine. He stalked Robin a little just to realize he was at the same table as Sabrina.
Robin was furious about the fact that he had not taught Devin enough lessons. How dare he say such things openly? Sabrina was his ex and so what. Confusion marred his thought again as he thought that Sabrina was a decent woman. It was good they divorced but why was he so upset? Who did that guy think he was? Robin was going to teach him a lesson.
"I want to know everything about him, do you understand? Everything," Robin freed his arm and said, before he began to walk away, furious. Daniel followed him amidst the surprised gaze of dancers when the music returned. He yelled behind Robin for his voice to gain dominance over the loud music,
"I hope you managed to get his name?"
Robin stopped and turned around. His mood was not better. "No, but try your best."
He could not understand the reason he lost control for the second time. When Sabrina refused to take anything from him after the divorce, he was hopeful that she’d return but that guy made him understand that Sabrina moved on. What the fuck?
When Robin reached his penthouse, Zayla was scared to see blood dripping from his arm, it soaked his white shirt. "Darling, what happened to you?" Zayla rushed to his side and asked. Her reaction made Robin curious he asked,
"What?"
"You are bleeding. I will call the doctor," Zayla went around in search of her phone whiles Robin looked at where Zayla was staring before and scrambled,
"It’s nothing."
He had no idea he was hurt when he drove to the penthouse, also surprised at the fact that he felt no pain. It must have been at the time he pounced on that man when they both fell on the floor after the breaking of the bottles and glasses. His fury surpassed it all. His carelessness to his injury halted Zayla’s movements, she turned around and said,
"Tell me what happened please."
Robin was suddenly annoyed by her interrogations. This was all her fault. Why did she have to send out that false information? Robin could not forget the look in Sabrina’s eyes at the mention of the word barren. No matter what, he took a deep breath before asking Zayla, "It’s nothing and why did you send false information to the media?"
Zayla was amazed by the sudden change of his demeanor, she asked, "Robin, what are you talking about?" There was an innocent glint in her eyes which got Robin confused, his eyes narrowed to her ring finger but there was no sign of the huge diamond ring she wore during the interview.
"Where is the ring and where did you get it?" Robin asked at once. Zayla shrugged and replied,
"I borrowed it."
"Zayla, why did you give such false information about Sabrina?" Robin’s tone softened whiles he asked, careful to not offend her but Zayla was already upset, she yelled,
"Isn’t it true? If the bitch was not barren, then why did she not have a single child for you?"
A frustrated sigh escaped Robin. This was all his fault. When he sent Zayla to the villa, he should have spoken to Sabrina in private. They argued in front of Zayla and she took things differently.
"Zayla, you are not thinking straight. Sabrina never bothered us after the divorce and left with nothing. How can you say such things about her? And why should you announce an engagement?" fгeewebnovёl.com
Zayla stared at Robin as if he just told the joke of the century. Only if he knew how cunning Sabrina was.
"She took the villa and..."
"Enough about the villa and why do you announce an engagement? I am the man and you bruised my ego. Make sure you clear all that news before the break of dawn tomorrow," Robin ordered and was headed upstairs when he heard Zayla’s voice,
"I will not do it."
Robin halted and turned to look at her. The only time Sabrina refused his order was when he brought Zayla to the villa. It was barely a week since he moved in with Zayla and she was already defying him. He was amazed by the defiance in her eyes whiles she continued to speak,
"That news is true and there is nothing wrong about revealing the truth. You love me and that is why you chose me over her."
Robin shook his head. Perhaps it was a result of the pregnancy. "I will take down the news myself."
Zayla frowned with agitation. Her main reason for the interview was to get Sabrina upset, so she’d return the documents to the villa and Robin wanted to clear the news. She threatened him seriously, "If you do so, I will abort this child I’m carrying."
"Zayla!"
"Yes Robin, very soon, the world would know that I’m pregnant and I don’t have your commitment. What would you have me do?" She raised her concerns which surprised Robin with how she took everything.
"We are living under the same roof. What other commitment do you want and how did you have all those pictures taken?" He asked seriously, Zayla’s eyes dulled before they lit again as she said,
"Marry me, make me feel special, and flaunt me around."
She guessed Robin would try to avoid the topic of marriage and she could get away with the pictures since he had no idea that she planted cameras.
Robin shook his head. It was unlike him to be bossed around and told what to do. This had reached his neck and he could not take it so he suggested, "Zayla, I think you should spend some days with your parents."
Zayla’s eyes widened as shock sprung through them. No matter how she tried to turn the tables for Robin to do what he wanted, he was always a step ahead. "What? You are sending me away?"
"No, Zayla. You are idle and gradually becoming paranoid. It will be better for you to spend a few days with your parents to help you calm down," he said softly. Zayla shook her head, imagining the number of women Robin would bring home if she was away.
"No, I don’t want to be away from you please."
"It’s just a few days, Zayla, while I think of compensation for Sabrina," Robin revealed. Zayla’s eyes moistened instantly.
"What?"
Robin explained calmly, "Since you decided to abort the child rather than take down the video interview, I have to compensate her for defamation or she could press charges."
Zayla shivered from fear. How could she have forgotten about something like that? "Did Sabrina say that?" Zayla thought through again and refused,"No, she doesn’t have the resources to go against you." Indirectly, she was under his shelter, for which reason he had to protect her. Robin’s face hardened and Zayla gave up. "I will take down the news. Please let me do it myself."
"Twenty-four hours, Zayla," Robin announced before ascending the stairs when Zayla run after him, asking,
"Robin, do you love her?"
Robin turned around and stared at her in her eyes before saying, "I love you Zayla. Stop behaving like this. It only makes you look desperate."
"You love me?" Zayla realized it was the first time he admitted it and her eyes glistened with tears of joy. Robin chuckled and said,
"How can I hate you when I’m living on your kidney?" He felt it was good he had Zayla. Just a few days after the divorce and Sabrina was already warming another man’s bed. How worthless? He did not notice how the light in Zayla’s eyes dimmed before she said,
"Of Course, you love me."

"Dev, you are injured. Let me check your wound. Is there first aid in the car?" Sabrina was disturbed and asked. They were at the underground car park, inside Robin’s car.
"Yes, there is but this is nothing," Devin smiled and said, looking at the red liquid like water, while Martin went for the first aid box. Sabrina began cleaning his wound, after rolling up his sleeves. At the same time, she asked,
"What just happened in there?"
"Robin is just crazy. I hope you weren’t offended by things I said," Devin gazed pleadingly at his sister and asked. Sabrina smiled and responded casually,
"He deserved it."
