Chapter 421: Chapter 421 - My Last Time Getting Married

A week later, Daniel was discharged from the hospital, so Lizzy insisted on being discharged as well. However, she could not resume work as she had to continue being on bed rest at home for a week more.

Daniel stayed by her side through it all, and whenever Lizzy was asleep, he would begin his hunt for Mara and her friends. Even when he was unsuccessful, he never gave up.

Devin and Matilda stayed at the mansion, and Devin would work from home so he could be there for her, as he didn’t want to miss her labor and delivery.

The General always came to visit the family as he promised. For a moment, it was as if everything was fine, as the attack on JC Minerals had strangely been withdrawn.

Robin and Sabrina were very busy with the wedding preparations, as he had employed a lot of undercover agents. The twins were not going to attend the wedding, as they would be with Laura at the villa.

Laura had grown so fond of the twins due to her time spent with them as she had moved into the mansion. She was almost like a nanny to them, rather than a security agent.

Sometimes, it increased her quest for revenge as she felt that she would never be able to have a family of her own because of the man who destroyed her life by destroying her family.

Jacob had done well by moving the head office of his company to New York City. As such, most of his time was spent at the office. Ethel had gotten used to the villa and no longer demanded Jacob’s attention so much. The maids were of great help to her.

However, with all the love shown to her after what she did to her best friend, she began to feel guilty for tearing a family apart. Grandma must have been right that if she was patient and had not stolen from her best friend, she would have had her complete family as well.

It was too late to make the correction as her former best friend was already dead. There was nothing Ethel could do now than to die with the guilt that sat at the center of her heart. It hurt badly.

Robin and grandma were only forced to forgive her for Jacob’s sake. If the latter, who was the victim of Ethel’s wickedness, did not hate her, then how could they? frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

Sabrina was nursing Savannah in her nursing chair when Robin went into their room. He seemed to be busy with something on the computer as he asked Sabrina,

"Do you have anyone you want to put on the invitation list?"

Sabrina frowned and searched her mind, but no name came to mind except for the people who were already close to her.

"No one. I think everyone I know is already informed."

Robin typed something on his computer and said, "Alright. Then it means that the special guest names are complete, and we don’t have to add on."

Sabrina agreed, but as something crossed her mind, she asked, "How about Mara and Martin? How do you intend to identify them in the midst of the crowd?"

She was interested in how Robin planned to use the wedding to catch their enemies for the last time.

"The wedding is open to all, but the disguised agents would be at the gate as waiters or ushers, whichever works better. Everybody who enters would have to provide a form of identification."

Sabrina wanted to ensure that there was no flaw in their plan, as she didn’t want any surprises.

Also, she wanted everything to be done and over with as soon as possible so she could go back to enjoying the peace and calm as she did during the latter stages of her pregnancy.

"My King, there would be thousands of people because you made an open invitation. How would they be able to identify everyone by just checking their identity card?"

They are not responsible for that. They would have a secret camera attached to the glasses they wear, so as soon as they see the identification, the information is sent directly to the search app Peter designed for this."

"He and Daniel would be checking through all of the scanned documents from their phones, laptops, or whatever it was connected to," Robin smiled and spoke.

He was no longer the one pressuring the two hackers, as both of them wanted to do this for reasons of their own.

In fact, they even refused to be paid for the job. "What if someone provides a fake ID?"

Robin was glad Sabrina was asking all these questions, but he had already made provisions for everything in advance.

"That would give a hint and such person or persons would be noted as the agents would find ways and means of getting their blood samples when either Peter or Daniel sends the information to them."

Robin understood their need for a DNA test as he perceived that Martin and Mara would disguise themselves.

"Won’t it be rather easier to get a hair sample than blood?" Sabrina thought aloud. One must be pricked to get blood so that option did not feel right to her.

Robin explained, recalling the tactic he used when he wanted to find out Jacob’s identity. To get a hair sample without creating suspicions was just as difficult as getting a blood sample.

"Not always but a hair sample would not be convenient at the moment, since anyone disguising with a fake identity can equally put on a fake hair."

Sabrina nodded her head. Some people might dye their hair but others could just go with a wig.

"I should have thought about that."

"It’s quite easy to have an oversight in those areas but I am only high alert because I am in for revenge. They can’t go free after what they did to Daniel and Lizzy," Robin said with a scowl on his face.

Sabrina felt that a blood sample would be too difficult to attain and asked, "So what about a fingerprint?"

Robin’s brows raised at the suggestion and he exclaimed,

"There you go, smart woman. We could easily get that from the drinking glasses they touch without them being suspicious," Robin said thoughtfully but something else bothered Sabrina as she acknowledged,

"The plan is good but my King, I don’t want to get married again and I’m never going to walk down the aisle again. I want this wedding to be very special."

As the meaning of her words sunk in, Robin’s heart was warmed as joyful tears filled his eyes. It was just as he also thought of before.

"I promise to make this wedding a memorable one for us. After all, it’s my last time getting married too."

Thus, they had both secretly vowed to never get married again or move on with other people if their marriage failed again. "Everything seems perfect except for one thing."

"Just name it and I would take care of it."
