Chapter 448: Chapter 448 – How can you tell that she feels something for you?

Robin raked his mind, not recalling making any appointment with anyone. "No, and I’m wondering why the security would let in strangers. Please stay inside. I will go and check."

"Okay," Sabrina agreed and remained in the back seat.

Robin walked to the car parked in front of theirs as the driver had not made any attempt to step down.

He knocked on the window, but there was no response, and since it was tinted, he was walking to the front of the car to check the windscreen to see the driver when the door to the driver’s side suddenly opened.

"You are walking around as if you are scared of something," Jacob said from the driver’s side. Robin shook his head, sighing with relief.

"What are you doing here and why this car? Where is Laura and the kids?" Robin asked all at once, never expecting his twin brother to play such a prank on him.

No wonder the security allowed him in. "The car was her idea," Jacob pointed to the woman in the back seat as the door pushed open, revealing her with the babies in their child seats, sleeping.

"Laura, you didn’t tell us that you were coming today," Robin said with surprise. Laura smiled and replied,

"Babies must eat, right?" She was worried for Sabrina because the babies had not latched the whole day.

Though she suggested pumping, she felt that now that their enemies were apprehended, there was no need to keep the babies from their parents any longer.

Robin was going to carry the twins from the child seat when Laura stopped him. "I think you and your wife should have a good bath first. I don’t want your babies to be infested with bacteria."

Robin chuckled. "You have a point there. See you inside," he said and walked back to his car. "Let’s go and shower. The kids are here," he said to his wife.

Sabrina was very excited from missing their twins so much, she couldn’t wait until she showered.

"I should breastfeed them first," Sabrina suggested, but Robin shook his head. "We both need to shower," he said seriously. Sabrina gave up.

In an hour, Sabrina was relaxing in the nursing chair with both babies sucking on either side of her breast while Robin looked on admiringly.

It was obvious that they missed their mother so much, except that they could not speak.

"They are so cute," Robin said with a teary gaze. It still felt like a dream to him that he fathered these wonderful twins.

"Yeah, and I’m relieved when my breast is empty," Sabrina shrugged. She was already feeling relief from her second engorgement as Robin recalled the breastmilk she pumped at the hospital.

"What about what you pumped at the hospital?"

"It’s in the fridge. I would have grandma give them when we go to bed. Laura needs rest too," Sabrina said with a grin. Robin did not notice anything strange about his wife and agreed,

"You are right."

Sabrina felt that he didn’t understand what she was driving at and added, "And I want the kids to begin sleeping in their rooms." Her cheeks reddened a little and Robin’s heart warmed, as he deciphered the meaning of her words.

"That sounds like an adventurous idea to me," Robin replied, feeling giddy in his stomach. "Do you mind getting pregnant again?" He asked, wondering if they should begin taking precautions but wished they would have more kids.

"I don’t mind if I get pregnant again but from the way it was hard for me the first time, I’m not sure," Sabrina said sadly. Robin was grateful for what they had and didn’t like the line of sadness on her face.

He tried to assure her. "But the doctor said that everything was fine with us."

"Yes, he did but that was the same thing the doctors said years ago," she reminded him of their first marriage.

The doctor said they were both healthy couples and yet, Sabrina was unable to conceive for years. Robin had found joy so children were no longer a matter of desperation for him.

If they had more, great. If they didn’t, that was also great.

"Whether or not we have more children, you will always be my number one," he said assuringly, Sabrina smiled, recalling something and saying,

"I think you should take the kids to their room."

"With pleasure, my queen," Robin said with excitement. After almost two months, he was going to enjoy his wife once again.

After entrusting the twins to their grandma, he was about to enter his room when he saw Jacob beckoning him at the stairway.

Is there a problem?" Robin asked when he walked towards Jacob. The latter forced a smile and replied, "Are you aware that she wants to retire from the agency in a few weeks?"

"You mean Laura?" Robin asked, feeling a little nervous. If Laura retired from the agency, then she wouldn’t want to work for him anymore.

Also, the only reason why Laura would want to retire was because of revenge. Robin wondered why Laura had not informed him.

Jacob was walking to his rooms whiles speaking and Robin followed him.

"Yes, I mean Laura. I heard her speaking on the phone with a spy she had paid to keep watch on her ex. It seems he is going to strike one of the big politicians and she is planning to take her revenge on him then."

Robin reminisced over his twin brother’s words and replied,

"If Sabrina was a hit woman and she had someone to seek revenge on, I would support her. Don’t forget that that man took everything Laura held dear. It won’t be fair to tell her to forget about it when the person was still hunting innocent lives," Robin said honestly. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Jacob felt that Robin was right but his heart felt heavy as he imagined Laura facing the dangers out there alone.

"So, you think I should just let her go when the time comes? What about me? What if I lose her?" Jacob had tears in his eyes and Robin was shocked, asking, "Have you told her how you feel about her?"

A small smile stretched Jacob’s lips as he spoke. "I was about to but we constantly got interrupted with calls. However, after the few hours we spent together with the kids, I don’t want to give up on her. I don’t want to lose her and I know that she feels something for me too," Jacob revealed as Robin asked him.

"How can you tell that she feels something for you?"
