The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 9 – Not giving back the villa
Chapter 9: Chapter 9 – Not giving back the villa
Robin’s gaze darkened instantly. He never liked the man in Sabrina’s company and had to constantly remind himself that they were divorced and Zayla was the woman he wanted, the one he loved. Sadly, when Robin’s gaze met that of Sabrina, he felt strange at the way she smiled at the man sitting in front of her. ’This man, who is he?’
Robin had tried but could not get over his intuition to investigate the man with Sabrina. If he was the one who helped her with the divorce papers, then it meant they must have known each other for a while so, was Sabrina indeed cheating on him during their time of marriage? He shook his head.
It was impossible. Every time Sabrina went out, she was in the company of their family driver. He quickly brushed it off. He should just find out about who the man was. Perhaps a name or something of that sort. He imagined that Sabrina would change her mind about the divorce but from how happy she looked, it seemed impossible. Still, he could not fathom his reason for feeling so strange about it since he did not love her.
"You should tell the waiter what you want," Robin said to Zayla, ignoring her earlier comment, which got her upset.
"Darling, won’t you take back the villa after knowing that she was never a faithful wife? She does not deserve it," Zayla hinted but Robin only gazed with a faraway look and responded,
"Our divorce is finalized. Everything she has is hers." He turned to the waiter, "We shall be having take - outs. Give me your chef special. Zayla, what will you have?" He asked. Zayla was about to place her order when a shadow appeared at the entrance.
The next moment, a man walked in, tall, elegant and very attractive with dark brown hair which matched his suit. Robin recalled that the man looked familiar but could not recall where they met. The man walked to the table where Sabrina sat with Devin.
Robin’s heart twitched, when the man pecked the back of Sabrina’s hand upon arrival at her table. She did not pull her hand away but rather smiled admiringly at the said man. ’What a slut?" Robin said in his mind but then again, the man beside Sabrina. Why did he seem okay with it?
It was just hard for him to sit on the fact that it was not his business. Whiles Zayla placed her order with the waiter, he could not help stealing glances where Sabrina sat. Zayla had finished with her order and realized that Robin was looking at his ex-wife admiringly instead of the disgust she had been trying to paint.
She was boiling from so much rage, it burst out and she said to the hearing of Sabrina and those she shared a table with.
"Darling, that woman took the villa I wanted and you agreed because you saw her as a good wife. This shows she never was and you should take back the villa."
The three people at the next table allayed and Sabrina turned to look Zayla in the eyes from where she sat. Not minding the people at the restaurant, she said, "Zayla, if you have a problem with me, then let’s address it right here. I hate for my image to be tarnished. That villa is mine and even though I don’t need it, I will not give it to you."
The color drained from Zayla’s face and she turned to Robin who seemed in a daze at the change in Sabrina. Her sassiness made her even more attractive.
"Darling, did you hear that?" Zayla reached out and held Robin’s hand through the gray suit he wore. Robin was annoyed, knowing they had ended discussion on anything concerning the villa.
"Zayla, I don’t want to hear about the villa again. The ownership has been changed and it remains that way." His tone left no room for discussion but Zayla could not stand her father’s wrath and the trillions of treasures hidden in that villa. Also, what about her family’s dying company? She gulped and countered,
"But she was never a good wife. See how she has a man and keeps flirting with the other. You just divorced yesterday so please don’t say that she moved on. These men have been in her life and you were a fool to not notice."
"Excuse me?" Robin’s countenance turned frosty; Zayla fought to take back her words upon realizing that she had just insulted Robin.
"I...I’m sorry. I just meant that you should take the villa back."
Devin was upset that Zayla was ruining Sabrina’s mood and tarnishing her image when there were elites in the restaurant. Some media reps might even carry the news. He turned around and said,
"Little woman, I hate for people to have wrong notions about my woman. I have loved Sabrina all my life yet she chose that jerk. I’m just glad her eyes opened after three years and she gave me a chance. As for the villa, just like she said. I can give her a better one but if she does not want to give it to you, I won’t force her," he shrugged carelessly, whiles sipping a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
