Bael stuck out his long, poisonous tongue at Lory, but before it touched her, Lory nimbly jumped into the air and threw a wind blast to stun the hideous creature. Ethan was stumped, his mouth slightly open as he shook his head

Leon looks at everyone’s reaction, a disappointment flashed in his eyes. "Now that’s not helping?" Then he turns to Fargo. "Should we help the girl?"

Fargo’s eyes fixed on Lory for a moment, then he shifted his eyes to Zhao Li Xin, and the corners of his lips curled up. "No, let’s watch a bit more."

Lory was a lot younger and inexperienced when she roamed alone during the Dark Age War, and she survived despite all odds. However, now Lory is much older and has more experience so Fargo was sure Lory could handle one Bael furthermore, he was there.

Zhao Li Xin’s dark eyes dimmed like the depths of the abyss; the monster seemed to hide its ability. His hands were no longer behind his back but placed beside him, indicating he had given full attention.

Lory examined Bael and wondered if this was related to the potion inside the device or to Bael’s new ability.

Lory released another wind blade, but to no avail, the attack didn’t even scratch the monster. Lory pursed her lips as she thought about summoning water and ice, but with people watching her, how could she use that power?

Using Wind, water, and ice, it was the same as telling everyone that she was the Princess of Lorient. Although she wanted to trust her people, but Lory did not want to take the risk, at least not now. Suddenly, the Bael launched another attack with its poisonous tongue.

Lory crossed her arms, and a strong wind shot out and cut Bael’s tongue, but only a moment before the tongue grew, and the beast charged in Lory’s direction.

Lory was about to dodge again when suddenly she was lifted into the air. A familiar scent hit her nose, and Lory knew without needing to look, she wrapped her arms around the man’s neck. "Li Xin?"

"Your wind power wouldn’t be able to break the surface of the creature’s outer shield," Zhao Li Xin said shortly after he landed on the ground, then gently put Lory down.

"I know, but I can’t use water and ice power in front of so many people, and I don’t think other spells won’t work either, that shield is too thick, how could they have this upgrade?" Lory vented her frustration.

Bael’s anger grew as the monster realized the prey managed to evade its attack again. The Bael stomped his feet and charged at Lory again.

Lory released a wind blast, and at the same time, Zhao Li Xin released the immortal flame. Soon, the power of wind and fire merged to create a giant fire whirl, which struck the creature and devoured it whole.

Unexpectedly, Zhao Li Xin’s fire burned the hardened vines all over the creature to ashes. Realizing this, Lory threw the last red cylinder crystal, and then Zhao Li Xin and Lory slashed the Beast at the same time, almost cutting the beast in half.

The sound of the Bael’s body collapsing to the ground reverberated, but no one could be sure if that monster was dead or not. Zhao Li Xin tilted his head as he waited for the Bael to heal, meanwhile, Lory checked the time on her watch, but after five minutes, the beast remained still.

Zhao Li Xin looked at Lory with a questioning look ’Did it work?’

Lory pursed her lips and shrugged, ’I don’t know’

Lory wanted to check the beast to make sure, but Zhao Li Xin pulled his arm, then he stepped forward to check Bael’s body. Lory smiled sweetly at how caring her husband was. Zhao Li Xin approached the monster’s carcass and then gave a light to kick the beast’s head to see any reaction.

Zhao Li Xin waited while covering his nose, but the beast did not move. Two minutes passed, then Zhao Li Xin turned to Lory, his expression implying ’Looks dead to me’

Lory’s face beamed with delight, and he turned around then raised her thumb in the air. Instantly, everyone on the third floor cheered happily.

Ethan let out a long sigh of relief when he saw Lory and Zhao Li Xin together, and a small smile appeared on his face.

’As expected of the man she chose’

Fargo patted Leon’s shoulder. "If we distribute these weapons for free to other countries in the name of the Lucient family generosity, what do you think Theodore Nevaro and Alexander Behrenn’s faces would be like?"

Leon grinned widely. "Whatever it is, I can’t wait to see it!"
