The Seventh Base-Chapter 645 - 61: Deep Waters_2
Nilo, the new sensational student at Lucas University and the Prince of the Baloma Kingdom, was dragged out.
And Xu Mo was that impressive?
Although it was a sneak attack, Nilo’s Source Power Level was A minus, and his Combat Power was also very formidable.
Clearly, they didn’t know much about this librarian.
Nan Xiangyi watched Xu Mo dragging Nilo outside, stunned and feeling somewhat unreal, her gaze following Xu Mo’s figure, moving...
Xu Mo dragged Nilo outside the Library where many people headed this way, having received news about some conflict in the Library, so they came to see the excitement.
Ize and Carter were also there; when they saw Xu Mo dragging Nilo out, they were startled and then recognized Nilo.
Was it that severe?
"Remember to follow the rules of the Library next time," Xu Mo said, tossing Nilo out, who held his throat a distance away, coughing.
"What’s going on?" Ize asked.
"Nilo of the Baloma Royal Family, you might find yourself in trouble for this," Carter also said.
"I know, this guy really asked for it," Xu Mo responded.
"Boom!" A wild burst of Source Power exploded, Nilo’s face turned red, his eyes gleaming with a bloodthirsty cold light, staring at Xu Mo as if he could swallow him whole.
"You’re seeking death." Nilo roared and charged towards Xu Mo.
"The school prohibits fighting," Carter said and immediately rushed forward; Ize seemed to understand Carter’s intention, also rushing out, both of them striking simultaneously from left and right.
"Boom!"
Nilo’s body, charging forward, was directly smashed and flew out.
"I will kill you," Nilo roared furiously, having never suffered such an immense humiliation.
"Openly threatening to kill someone in the school, you’re done," Carter shouted loudly, their bodies surging forward again, assaulting Nilo ruthlessly.
The two people with Nilo were escorted out by Zero, their faces turning ashen seeing Nilo being badly beaten.
The Library’s people also rushed out, staring dumbfounded at the scene before them.
Finally, after Ize and Carter finished up, they returned to Xu Mo’s side, Nilo’s body lay limp, no longer able to speak harshly.
"Get out of the school," Wal bellowed.
"Get out of the school..." many students also shouted, Zero released those two people, and they left dejectedly with Nilo.
Carter and Ize were curious about what Nilo had done to provoke such anger.
They sensed that Xu Mo would get into trouble when they saw him beating up Nilo, so they joined in the beating. This way, it wasn’t just Xu Mo’s problem.
The more, the merrier in this context, if it had been only Xu Mo who beat Nilo, he might have been punished or expelled, but with them making a bigger scene, considering their status, the school would need to investigate thoroughly. Now, with the public outrage, it favored them even more.
"Thanks," Xu Mo appreciated that Ize and Carter were sharing the hostility.
Nan Xiangyi walked up to Xu Mo and Zero, somewhat apologetically, "I’m very sorry."
This incident was triggered by her.
"Miss Nan Xiangyi, this has nothing to do with you," Xu Mo said, it was purely Nilo’s own abnormal behavior.
"If needed, I can submit a statement to the school," Nan Xiangyi offered, "Also, you should be careful."
"Thank you," Xu Mo replied.
"Cool," Wal said to Xu Mo, "Thank you."
"It’s okay," Xu Mo smiled and replied.
Wal then turned to Nan Xiangyi, seemingly a bit shy, "Miss Nan Xiangyi, may I exchange communicator numbers with you?"
Xu Mo found Wal’s expression somewhat amusing. Was this the fluttering of a young boy’s heart?
Nan Xiangyi hesitated, but still nodded. "Okay."
Wal, hearing Nan Xiangyi’s words, got a bit excited. After they exchanged communicator numbers, he quickly thanked her and dashed off, his hormones all aflutter.
"Nan Xiangyi, may I..." Seeing Nan Xiangyi agree to exchange numbers with Wal, others also plucked up the courage to approach, only to see Nan Xiangyi turn to face Xu Mo and Zero. "Xu Mo, Zero, may I exchange communicator numbers with you?"
Xu Mo looked at Nan Xiangyi, then at Zero.
"I have to listen to her," Xu Mo said, pointing at Zero.
"Wow..." The crowd around them erupted in jeers, amused that Xu Mo had to check with his girlfriend when the goddess Nan Xiangyi asked for his contact information.
Zero seemed slightly pleased; Xu Mo was still very obedient.
"Okay," Zero nodded. The three exchanged numbers, and then Nan Xiangyi also left.
"Everyone, go back to your books," Xu Mo said to the crowd around him.
"Xu Mo, you even dare to fight Nilo, why are you so afraid of your girlfriend?" someone asked, jokingly.
"Is this fear?" Xu Mo retorted disdainfully. "This is respect!"
Laughter erupted again.
"If I had a girlfriend like goddess Nan Xiangyi, I’d definitely respect her too," someone said.
"Dreams have everything," replied someone else dismissively.
Amid the laughter and banter, people began to see Xu Mo in a new light. Even though he might have been scummy at times, seeking refuge behind his girlfriend from attackers, he did possess extraordinary courage, and his combat power was likely not weak.
This librarian was not at all like what he’d seemed before.
So, which side of Xu Mo was the real one?
The incident at the library quickly spread among the students. The Prince of Baloma, Nilo, demanded an apology from Xu Mo and Zero for their actions toward Nan Xiangyi, only to be beaten up by the librarian Xu Mo and flung out of the library, followed by a fierce beating from Ize and Carter.
This newcomer to the school had learned his lesson not long after joining, but surprisingly, it had been Xu Mo who taught him.
The school swiftly launched an investigation into the incident.
By now, the library had filled with many people, including members of the school’s disciplinary department, who questioned Lucas as well as Xu Mo.
Not knowing what the outcome would be, Xu Mo was unaware if the school would dismiss him. He was leaving it to fate, ready to return to the Blue Star Energy Technology Group if he were dismissed.
In the end, Xu Mo only received a verbal warning and was not dismissed.
By this time, the library was bustling, with Ize, Carter, Sorey, and Yekaterina all present.
"Lucky," Xu Mo shrugged after learning the outcome.
"Somebody protected you," Ize mentioned.
"Protected me?" Xu Mo was puzzled.
"Yes," Ize nodded. "We also used some connections and found that this incident was complex. Nilo’s presence at Lucas University was not a direct application from the Baloma Kingdom but an invitation from here. Nilo has influence in the school; thus, the investigation was strict. We thought you’d likely be dismissed, but eventually, someone covered for you."
"Who was it?" Xu Mo asked curiously.
"Not sure, it must have been someone at the top of the school, and since the students supported you and someone powerful advocated on your behalf, the school had to let it go," Ize continued, which was a bit surprising to Xu Mo.
Unexpectedly, there had been maneuvers happening behind the scenes.
Nilo had been invited to study here; this explained why he was so brazen, not just because he was from the Baloma Royal Family, but there were also other factors involved.
Just then, Ize’s communicator rang. He checked it, his expression suddenly freezing, turning somber.
"What happened?" Carter asked, his communicator vibrating too. After glancing at the message, he narrowed his eyes, his face showing a surge of anger.
