Chapter 37 - We Need The Whole Army

After the BlackFire started glowing white, it began to glow even brighter—radiating waves of pulsating energy like a heartbeat out of control. Suddenly, a sword came slicing through the brightness and struck Prince Wei's hand, making him flinch and lose grip on the BlackFire. It dropped from his hands and clanged against the ground with a thud that echoed like a bell of fate. The moment it lost its connection with Prince Wei, the glow vanished, leaving it dull and inert.

Prince Wei spun around, clutching his hand in pain. Behind him stood Wei, wearing his ominous mask. Two strange, distorted creatures galloped beside him on black, horse-like beasts that looked like they came from the depths of the underworld.

"Here they come," Kai said, wincing and clutching his glitching arm.

"I know that's Wei, but who are those other two creatures?" Prince Ryu asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Are those Ryu and Tony?" Jin questioned, stepping forward.

"Yes," Kai answered with a grim nod.

"But how did they turn into creatures?" Jin asked, his voice tense.

"I told you that the last Sevpon's power has kept them alive, otherwise they would have died yet," Kai replied.

Prince Wei's eyes landed back on the BlackFire lying on the ground. A sense of desperation surged through him. He sprinted forward, his hand outstretched, but before he could reach it, Tony jumped off the dark beast and delivered a brutal spinning kick to Prince Wei's chest, knocking him sideways with a grunt.

Fueled by rage, Prince Wei rolled to his feet and clenched his fists. He snarled and conjured a red magical aura around his hand, trying to snatch the BlackFire back through telekinesis. The weapon started to rise—but suddenly Ryu dashed between him and the BlackFire, standing firm like a wall of defiance.

"Stay away," Prince Wei hissed, casting a control spell. His magic surged toward Ryu, wrapping around him like black ropes—but they fizzled and disintegrated instantly.

"You can't make me," Ryu replied, his eyes glowing defiantly.

"Why is this not working? You are a human, aren't you?" Prince Wei said, confused.

"So you were trying to control me just like you did to that monster army," Ryu replied coldly.

"It doesn't matter. I can even kill you," Prince Wei spat, his anger flaring.

He rushed forward and tried to kick Ryu, but Ryu flipped backward, effortlessly avoiding the blow. With a battle cry, Ryu launched forward again and delivered a powerful punch right to Prince Wei's chest, staggering him backward.

"Wei, I got the BlackFire!" Tony shouted, gripping the weapon tightly in his hands.

"Good, now keep it away from Prince Wei!" Wei called out from the distance.

"Got it!" Tony replied, backing away swiftly.

Prince Wei's fury reached its peak. His eyes gleamed with rage. In a blink, he vanished and reappeared behind Ryu, driving a crushing punch into his back. Then, teleporting again, he slammed a knee into Ryu's side, lifting him slightly. With a third teleport, he appeared above and delivered a savage dropkick that sent Ryu hurtling to the ground.

"They need help!" Prince Ryu shouted, watching the chaos.

"You should go and help them," Kai urged, his voice weakening.

"But what about you? You are dying," Jin said, noticing Kai's arm glitching faster, now cracking like shattered glass.

"Don't worry about me. If you don't go, everyone will die. Now go," Kai ordered his voice firm despite the pain.

Prince Wei marched toward the fallen Ryu, summoning a jagged sword crackling with magic. He raised it high—but before he could strike, Jin teleported in front of him and attempted a flying kick. Prince Wei caught Jin's leg mid-air with frightening speed and hurled him away like a ragdoll. With a furious snarl, Prince Wei then raised his hand and summoned the BlackFire.

Tony gasped, watching the weapon tremble in his grasp. "Oh no no no no, it is fading away!"

The BlackFire shimmered and vanished from Tony's hands, only to materialize in Prince Wei's. freewebnoveℓ.com

Meanwhile, Wei arrived at the battleground where Royal Dimension's soldiers clashed with the monster army. The clash was chaotic. Screams, growls, and roars filled the air as the overwhelmed soldiers struggled. Without wasting time, Wei lifted both arms and summoned dozens of dark, black-skinned creatures—twisted warriors and horned beasts that galloped into the fray. The tide turned. With the help of Wei's summoned creatures, the monsters were decimated. One by one, the invaders were wiped out.

Wei breathed heavily and turned back, returning to the others.

At the heart of the battlefield, Prince Wei—now wielding the BlackFire—marched toward his enemies like a god of war. Prince Ryu attempted to stop him with a crackling electric shock, hurling a bolt with full force. But Prince Wei snapped his fingers, activating a shimmering forcefield that absorbed the attack and hurled it back at Prince Ryu, electrocuting him and knocking him to the ground.

Ryu gritted his teeth and pushed himself up. Jin teleported beside him and nodded. Without a word, Jin blinked forward, while Ryu charged in from the front. Jin appeared in front of Prince Wei and threw a punch—but the forcefield flared and blasted him backward like a slingshot. Jin twisted in mid-air and landed on his feet.

"You left me no other choice," Prince Wei said coldly, looking at the BlackFire in his hand.

Then, with terrifying calmness, Prince Wei raised the BlackFire and plunged it into his own chest. As the weapon slid into him, a surge of black and white energy erupted from the wound. The weapon vanished completely into his body, absorbed into his very soul.

"What has he done?" Ryu asked Jin, eyes wide in disbelief.

"I guess he has absorbed the BlackFire in himself," Jin answered grimly.

Wei arrived and took in the sight of Prince Wei glowing with untamed power.

"How are we able to defeat him now?" Prince Ryu asked Wei.

"I don't know, but I guess we need the whole army to defeat him," Wei responded, steeling himself.

"Get ready everyone," Wei said, raising his hand.

Prince Wei opened his eyes—now pulsing with white-black energy. Without warning, he moved. He was a blur. Ryu and Jin rushed forward, but in a fraction of a second, Prince Wei delivered a punishing roundhouse kick and sent them flying.

Prince Ryu tried to lift his hand to launch another electric strike—but Prince Wei appeared in front of him, punched him high into the sky, teleported above him, and launched a furious barrage of mid-air kicks. Blow after blow drove Prince Ryu higher and higher, each strike like thunder in the clouds. Then, faster than lightning, Prince Wei landed on the ground and looked up.

Seeing Prince Ryu plummeting from the sky like a falling star, Tony tried to charge at Prince Wei to distract him—but Prince Wei turned slightly and punched Tony with such force that the impact created a shockwave, sending Tony tumbling across the ground.

Wei's eyes widened. He summoned his black-colored dragon and leaped onto its back, soaring up to catch Prince Ryu. As the wind howled past him, he reached out just in time—grabbing Prince Ryu before he could hit the ground.

Wei gently landed with Prince Ryu cradled in his arms. But the moment his feet touched the ground, Prince Wei raised his hand and launched a black fireball at them. The flaming sphere exploded into Wei, knocking him off the dragon and crashing him to the earth.

As Wei groaned and tried to rise, Prince Wei summoned another sword and marched forward, ready to deliver the killing blow. But suddenly, a massive dragon soared down between them. It grabbed Prince Wei's arm mid-strike and lifted him into the air, its wings thrashing.

Roaring, Prince Wei killed the dragon mid-flight and dropped to the ground, landing with an earth-shaking slam. As the dust cleared, he looked up.

In front of him stood Wei, Ryu, Jin, Tony, and Prince Ryu—and behind them, an army of black-colored creatures and dragons.
