The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 243: Before the Turning
"Cut the tomatoes," Aella ordered, and with a single gesture, Neraxis did just that.
Of course, he pretended to use a knife, but in reality, he was using his Sun Threads, as they were a much faster alternative.
"Cucumbers," Aella added, tossing a pair of cucumbers over to him, which he caught and immediately peeled before delicately slicing them.
After he was done, he put them all in a bowl and handed it over to Aella, who was a bit startled.
"Did you go on some soul-searching quest and take up cooking? You're a bit too fast at this now."
Neraxis chuckled. "Yep, cooking is my hobby, so naturally—"
"Bullshit." Eris cut him off. "He was probably out somewhere killing some strong monster, like always. I mean, just look at him, even his hair is different now, and he's oozing a completely different energy than before."
"Are you calling me handsome?" Neraxis teased, earning a small glare from Eris. "But don't worry, I'll be back for a while now."

"Who's worried?" Eris scoffed. "I wasn't worried or anything, so get off your high horse and finish our dinner."
At least she didn't deny me being handsome... Though I guess the other girls are being more self-conscious around since earlier. Neraxis thought before turning to Aurelia.
"How's the curse coming along?"
She flinched, turning to him slowly. "The potion effects wore off... I need to take five or so potions to feel relief now."
"What...?" Neraxis's brows furrowed. "Weren't you fine just a few days ago?"
Aurelia nodded. "I was, but I don't know what happened... I had a thirst for blood all of a sudden, which shouldn't have been the case, and..."
"She bit me," Celina finished, rolling back her sleeve and revealing a bite mark on her wrist. "She also released some weird toxins into me, but I managed to dispel them."
"Yeah, she was like a horny dog looking for someone to bite," Eris snickered, earning a glare from everyone present.
"What? Her cheeks were red and she was calling out Neraxis's nam—"
"AAAH! Stop!" Aurelia shot a beam of light from her hands, hitting Eris square in the forehead and making her dip further inside the jacuzzi.
Aella cleared her throat, her embarrassment clear. "About that... yeah, she did do it, but I think there was some other reason for it."
"Right..." Neraxis sighed before walking up to Aurelia.
"Do you want me to remove your curse?"
Aurelia's eyes widened. "What...? Remove my curse?"
"Yep, there's just one thing I need to tell you before I do it," Neraxis added, taking a few glances around and using his {Primordial Presence: Frost} to create a thick barrier around both him and Aurelia.
He didn't want the other girls overhearing—after all, he wasn't ready for them to become like him just yet.
"A barrier?" Aurelia muttered.
"It's for safety reasons. It's also see-through, so don't worry," Neraxis replied before sitting down beside her.
"You see, I've become a vampire now," Neraxis stated, and the moment he did, dozens of Sun Threads materialized, swirling around the two of them fluidly.
"D-Do you want my blood again?" Aurelia asked, slowly extending her arm forward.
"Not exactly," Neraxis shook his head. "I can turn you into a vampire, just like me. My bloodline is very potent, so your curse is either going to be dissolved or combined into the bloodline itself."
"Uhm...?" Aurelia tilted her head. "But I won't be able to eat garlic anymore, right? Aella is making a dish with garlic now... so I—"
"It's a stupid myth," Neraxis cut her off. "You won't have any limitations. You can go outside in the sun, all of that. You'll be much stronger too, so that's a plus."
Hearing that, a complicated expression appeared on Aurelia's face as she fell into thought.
In the meantime, he decided to contact the only person who knew how to turn others.
Evangeline, you there?
[Here...] she replied, sounding exhausted. [I'm in the bath right now. Really wish you were here.]
Me too, Neraxis chuckled. Aside from that, how do I turn someone into a vampire?
[Oh? Who is it?] Evangeline asked, her curiosity piqued. [Is it a male or a female, by the way?]
Neraxis tilted his head. Does it matter?
[Well... depending on who it is, I'll give you a different method,] she replied, giggling.
It's Aurelia. Her curse has worsened, and I think my bloodline can cure her.
[Oh? A girl... and Aurelia at that...] Evangeline muttered, and he could practically see the smile creeping up her face. [Bite your lip and then kiss her. She needs some arousal to be turned successfully.]
You're kidding, right?
He wasn't against kissing Aurelia; however, he felt like all he needed to do was make her drink his blood.
However, Evangeline quickly dismissed that thought.
[I know what you're thinking, and while there is some degree of bullshittery in my method, one thing remains the same...] She trailed off. [The stronger the connection between you and the person you're about to turn, the more powerful they can get.]
Before he could speak, she continued. [I had people who were pretty close to me, and they were all somewhat strong. But not once did I have someone who I truly cared about and wanted by my side, so I never had that deep connection—which you could have now.]
So if I simply give her blood, then—
[If you do it with the intent of turning her, then yes, she will turn. However, if you make her aroused and more conscious of you, then the effect will be that much better... Anyways, I gotta go. Your sister is about to join me in the bath. See ya.]
With that, the connection cut off, and he was left staring at Aurelia's conflicted expression.
Since a kiss would make the effect stronger, so be it.
"Did you make up your mind?" Neraxis asked. "Of course, I'm willing to keep brewing you those potions. If anything, I can even start using bigger vials."
However, just as he was about to give her another way out, Aurelia's fierce blue eyes met his as she nodded.
"I-I'll do it."
