(Ryoto's pov)

Gid rushed at me with his arms still crossed across his chest. He didn't plan on using his hands. I don't know if it was his pride or if he just wanted to humiliate me like that. I imitated his pose and crossed my arms as well, which probably angered Gid even more.

His deadly tail moved towards me at incredible speed. He was aiming at my head. I think he remembers that I would be able to dodge an attack of that speed... at least, I hope. Otherwise, he really is going for the head from the beginning.

It didn't matter in the end. I wasn't planning on moving, and when the tail was getting uncomfortably close, it made a sudden turn and hit the ground, making a big hole in it in the process. Once again, his eyes widened in shock, but his free action had ended. It was my turn to move.

I tapped my foot lightly, digging my shoe slightly into the ground, but by using Vector Manipulation, the effect was much bigger. A big chunk of earth flew towards the Emperor. He didn't panic, though, and just smashed the rock with his tail. Again, I lightly tapped the ground, and without any effort, I flew up. I didn't stay long in the air as I did a flip and an axe kick while using fire bending to have extra firepower.

Gid didn't move. Just like me, he wasn't planning on moving and just took the attack head-on. In his eyes, if someone like me didn't dodge, then why should he.

My foot approached Gid, and the only thing he did to defend himself was to raise his arm to be in the way of my attack.

The connection created a shockwave of heat, mostly because of my attack's temperature.

My strike was stopped, and I didn't manage to move Gid's hand back even a bit. That information made my smile grow, and I even unintentionally let my teeth grow into fangs, and white stripes appeared on my hair, which made me look even more animalistic. The tail went towards my body again, and I had a problem dodging it as my foot was solidly held by my father-in-law as he tightened his grip on me. I covered my hand in Haki and caught the tail. The friction this action created made sparks fly.

We were at an impasse. Not really, but we stayed locked like this for a few moments until I made my next move.

"Bakudo #1 Sai!"

It wasn't a strong Kido, but I didn't need it to be. I just needed a moment, and soul attacks when someone isn't used to them always create at least a small opening. And so it did. His arms twitched, and Kido tried to force Gid's arms to bend behind his back, but it only managed to loosen his grip.

I used the leg that wasn't being held to kick Gid's torso. I only needed to touch him to send him flying. Just a tap, and he knew it as well. I have already demonstrated this power before, so he is wary of that. The only thing he isn't knowledgeable about is how much strength I can put into my attacks.

Everything went into slow motion as my foot got closer to my goal but at the same time...

My spider sense flared up for the first time since I got back home. This was the first time I was in any type of danger in this world, and I can bet I won't feel the 'tingle' that often here, and thank god for it.

Gid's tail, which was caught in my hand, started shining, and I knew that he was about to fire a laser from it and it would definitely be stronger than any of Lala's or even the attack he shot at me the last time. Our attacks would connect at the same time. I could either stop my attack and dodge it with Switcheroo, or I could exchange blows. The smart choice was obvious, but I really wanted to test myself, so I continued my kick as I covered my whole body in as thick a layer of Haki as I could in that amount of time.

My foot connected, and at the same time, he fired off his attack. We flew in opposite directions at high speed and both of us hit many trees on our way. I even flew through a dinosaur without stopping until I hit a large boulder that stopped all my momentum, but not before I sank into it, creating a Ryoto-shaped hole.

I stepped out of the hole, and I was still covered in the blood of an unfortunate dinosaur victim.

I looked in the direction of Gid, and I could see the first signs of damage on him. It showed that he wasn't so invincible after all, and I grinned.

First, I got rid of the blood by activating Shunko and evaporating everything that was on my body. Unfortunately, it included my jacket, so I was left shirtless. I deactivated my flame cloak and started cracking my neck again. Getting thrown like that makes your body feel stiff, but truthfully, the attack hurt more than the impact that stopped me.

I used Shunpo to get closer to Gid, who also shrugged off my attack, but I could see a small dent on his chest where I touched him. Both of us grinned.

"Hahaha! I don't remember the last time I was hit like that. I almost forgot what pain felt like."

"Then let me remind you some more."

I started calculating, and the winds around me began to go faster and faster in a circular motion. The winds were going fast enough to become visible, and soon enough, a Tornado formed, and I directed it toward Gid. It was my first time trying something like that, but it turned out alright. Gid, though, looked unimpressed. With a wave of his hand, the Tornado was destroyed.

"It was pretty anticlimactic."

"No kidding."

"...Want to take it to the next level?" I asked.

"Sure, only if you can keep up. Don't want to have you go crying to Sephie again."

...Right, I'm sending him to the hospital. I summoned my Zanpakuto.

"Bankai, Tensa Zangetsu."
