Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing-Chapter 30: To start the climb
Chapter 30 - To start the climb
"How did they give you [Rank-6] when you didn't show any skills and didn't even use all of your strength in the stat test?" Zyon asked, curious about the tricks KiRA had used during his turn.
"Well, I had Holy Power so they thought I still had potential even though I wasn't showing any skills.
They took me to one of their supervisors but they still couldn't find anything about me so they let me go asking me to reassess my status after the first floor was cleared."
KiRA sat down as he handed a cup of coffee to both of them.
Apparently the A2P2 officials knew the three of them were together and were keeping them at the site for the time being.
Since Iz and Zyon had obtained a high rank and needed some special clearance for their licence, they were taking their time.
KiRA on the other hand, wasn't in the same boat.
During his testing turn, he did not use the maximum of his strength. He even manipulated his results during the testing with his experience.
His Holy Power was detected in the testing process, but since it was one of the most difficult energies to grow even in the game, classes like priests and paladins were not famous among the players.
The government officials seemed suspicious of him, but there wasn't much that they could do about him. If he didn't want to show any skills, or was telling the truth about his three support skills with no actual battle power, then they just had to accept it and move on.
If he was reluctant about his own skills, then even they did not have any reason to force him to show those skills.
"You're still [Rank-6] when you didn't use much of your strength. Isn't that impressive already? We aren't even talking about the things you could do without skills and stat powers." Isah wasn't mad at him or anything. She simply sipped on her coffee with a smile.
"It's nothing impressive compared to you two. It's not like you two showed everything you have either, right? Besides, you know what I want."
Being in the spotlight wasn't his thing. Even in the game, the Stingy Dog was famous for not showing up anywhere even while having presence almost everywhere.
"Yeah yeah. You're the hidden villain of the story. Hiding isn't all that fun though, you know? Well... telling you isn't going to be effective anyway." The Hero shook his head, understanding the position of someone like KiRA.
"Tell me, Kai. What're we going to do now?"
The world was aware of the players who had played the Tower of Beginning. They were aware of those who cleared up to a certain floor as well as about the fact that No One had ever gone past the 51st floor.
Those who had gone past the 10th floor were being called [Potential Experts], those who had gone past the 20th floor were called [High experts].
No one who had played the game was coming forward to say they had played the game till that point though. Apparently, they could not share the information about different floors even among the players.
The system was restricting them, which meant unless they came forward on their own, they couldn't find these experts.
The players who had cleared 30th floor and above were far fewer in comparison. And there were rarely those who had cleared beyond the 51st floor.
'Zyon left after the 45th floor, and Isah stopped after the 48th floor. When I was still playing, there were about 6 people who had made it to the 51st floor, but the tower was a different hell after the midpoint.'
No one could go beyond the 51st floor. No one except the one person who ended up clearing the tower.
"Since they're searching for the people who know about the tower, I think you should join them, Ziggy. Be the insider and move on your own. It would be best and you will be able to do what you want with the authority you'll get. freewebnσvel.cѳm
Iz will work together with everyone back home and establish a guild of our own. Ziggy will not be part of it on paper, but you know how to work around that.
I want to move by myself when we are within the tower so for the time being, I want you two to increase your influence.
There are almost three months left before we have to clear the tower, but seeing the progress of the eastern nations, the 1st floor should be cleared within a few days."
If they have a Clan, they will have public figures. If Ziggy is a part of A2P2, they will know about the inside workings of the association.
The association will not refuse having a Hero, they were in dire need of one already.
'If they're the ones to clear the floor instead of a private corporate or guild, their influence will only increase.'
KiRA knew what the association might be up to. From their talk with the executives earlier, he knew they weren't just climbing the tower normally.
'For the time being, the Association was going to be contending against the private sectors.'
The competition might be tough, so they will need as much help as they could have.
There was a lot to gain from the tower already, but then again, the Tower of Cessation is not the same as the Realistic tower that everyone loathed.
"It doesn't sound bad... but will you be alright on your own?" Ziggy knew the kind of person KiRA was inside of the tower, and yet he was asking him something so obvious.
"Of course I will be fine. Besides, I won't be alone." Unity was there, and soon, there will be one more companion to accompany him on his journey in the tower.
Also, they weren't going to be away all the time. He still needed them for many quests and dungeons within the tower.
The hidden bosses weren't going to be possible with Solo-play just yet.
"Iz? You're fine with this, right?" Looking beside him, KiRA asked with a concerned look.
She had a sad expression, but she still nodded her face.
"It's alright... It's not like we won't be seeing each other for too long anyway... right?" She asked, her hands wrapped around her coffee cup.
She was nervous, well aware of the truth. But seeing his reassuring face still made her feel a little better.
"I won't be away for too long. I promise." Placing his hand on hers, he smiled at his partner.
They had a good understanding between one another, a kind of trust that was hard to find nowadays.
"I'm alright then..." She sighed, placing her head on his shoulders.
The stage was set.
The tower was looming over them and inside of the tower was bustling with more ferocious monsters than what they were aware of.
The first floor was a maze full of monsters and traps, as well as treasures that all the beginner players were going to find attractive.
Some rewards will be traps, while some traps will provide unexpected rewards.
As long as they were aware of their surroundings and didn't fall for obvious tricks, they would make it to the center of the maze.
However, should they fail to recognize the hands of a demon, only doom will await them.
