Transmigrated as an Extra: Awakening of The Ex‐Class'-Chapter 59 : Minotaur Labyrinth part 1
Chapter 59: Chapter 59 : Minotaur Labyrinth part 1
The air was heavy in my lungs as I ran with determination. I couldn’t allow myself to look back; the walls of the labyrinth began to give way, its walls collapsing one after another with a deafening crash. All around me, the traps I had managed to avoid before entering this hell were now working erratically, as if the labyrinth was conspiring against me.
The arrows, razor-sharp and poisoned, flew towards me with terrifying speed. Their tips shining with a sinister glow that announced their mortality. I can’t let them reach me—I thought, as I threw myself sideways dodging the first ones, feeling the whistle of metal passing millimeters from my skin.
Suddenly, the ground beneath my feet gave way with a dull roar. I saw myself falling, but with quick reflexes I activated Shadow Steps, the perfect skill for escape or evasion that allowed me to transport myself to another side, without giving me time to breathe. A couple more traps were activated: huge sharp spikes emerged from the ground, seeking to pierce me like the teeth of an ancient monster. The poison they carried not only killed instantly, but slowly disintegrated the flesh.
A drop of cold sweat began to run down my forehead as I dodged with difficulty. This was much worse than I had imagined. The walls kept collapsing, and the traps gave no respite. My only hope was to reach the portal, the only exit from this damned labyrinth.
I ran, without looking back, my heart was pounding like crazy, pounding with each step. The exit is near... I thought, as the sound of my footsteps echoed off the walls that were still shaking from the destruction that was occurring in real time. The corridors were filled with magical runes that flickered, distorting reality around them. Some seemed to encourage my escape, others, to make me stumble.
Finally, the silhouette of the portal began to take shape in the distance. Without hesitation, I launched myself towards it with all my strength. At the last moment, I felt the portal close behind me, and my body fell to the ground, exhausted. Adrenaline was still running through my veins, my heart was beating like a drum, but instantly a strong feeling of relief took over me. I looked at the ring I had obtained, its faint shine reflecting the moonlight. A smile appeared on my face. I did it...

[Moments before]
Today marks exactly one year since I came to this world, I never thought I could be able to hold out this long, but look at me now, the new school year was just around the corner I thought as I looked at the portal in front of me.
This place... I whispered to myself. The hidden dungeon that would be discovered six months later, in it there is an object that I must obtain at all costs.
That’s why I decided to enter the "Minotaur’s Labyrinth" the name of this dungeon a unique place that holds the object created by a god and one of the few artifacts that is in its own league. That’s why I had to be careful, the minotaur that guarded it was not my only concern. The traps, the enchantments and the creatures that inhabited its dark corridors were far beyond any story. Here it was not only about courage, but also about cunning and skill.
I moved further inside, feeling the small changes in the air as I crossed the threshold. The space was vast, the walls rose higher than I imagined, and the air was impregnated with the smell of antiquity that resonated in every corner. Carved into the walls of this place were runes on every surface, some of spatial distortion and others of disorientation, those walls were like invisible guardians that prevented me from snooping too much.
Before going beyond this part of the labyrinth, I tied a golden thread that I had brought to my wrist, I had prepared for this situation a long time ago, this small thread was the key to not getting lost in the labyrinth. The reel where it was spun fell to the ground gently. Watching how it unraveled upon contact with the floor, I thought about how much it cost me to get it but I knew it was vital. This magical thread, forged with art and mana, was an artifact of designation. By tying it to my wrist and imbuing it with mana, I was guaranteed that no matter how deep I went into the labyrinth, I would never get lost, it would be a guide that would lead me back to the exit.
I did not waste another second and moved forward with determination through the intricate labyrinth. The walls, wide enough to allow access for a group of people, were carved with ancient runes that shone faintly under the light of the torches. Each step I took echoed in the sepulchral silence of the place. My instinct told me to move with extreme care, a mistake could be fatal, I walked scanning every inch of the floor and walls.
However, in a momentary carelessness, my foot stepped on one of the floor slabs, which gave way under my weight, with a sinister creak. Almost immediately, a hidden mechanism activated, and a barrage of sharp arrows shot out from the walls, whistling through the air with deadly accuracy. Time seemed to slow down as my mind processed the danger. With a quick, determined movement, I raised my arm and activated my bracelet. It transformed into an elongated, pale gold shield, shimmering like moonlight.
The arrows struck the shield with a deafening crash.
"Bam! Bam! Bam!"
Each blow echoed like thunder in the narrow hallway, and the force of the impacts sent me back a step. The echo of the collisions reverberated through the labyrinth, but fortunately I suffered no significant damage. My heart pounded, but I remained calm, knowing I could not make another mistake.
As the last of the arrows hit the ground, I took a deep breath and made sure there were no more traps activated. With a casual gesture of my hand, the shield returned to its bracelet form, and I continued on my way, this time with even more caution. My eyes scanned every detail: the cracks in the walls, the shadows that seemed to move on their own, and the ground, which I now inspected with meticulous attention.
The labyrinth seemed to have no end, each step I took plunged me deeper into its mystery. It was as if the walls themselves were breathing and watching my progress. The runes engraved on the walls glowed subtly. The air felt heavier, a scent of damp earth and metal filtered into my nostrils, and each breath I took seemed to fill my lungs.
Suddenly, a distant whisper broke through my concentration. I didn’t know if it was a trick of my mind, exhausted by the tension, or something real. I stopped, holding my breath, and listened more intently. The sound was faint, like a cry carried by the wind, but I couldn’t tell if it came from in front of me or behind me. I decided to keep walking, feeling that the labyrinth itself was leading me toward a destination I couldn’t avoid.
The path was strangely clear. I found no visible obstacles, but I knew I couldn’t be too confident. The walls were covered in cracks and crevices that seemed to hide deadly traps. I stepped carefully, avoiding the flagstones that seemed worn down by time. My intuition didn’t fail me: on several occasions, I heard the metallic sound of blades being activated as I passed, but none of them hit me.
After what seemed like hours, although time seemed to have stopped in that place, I came to a huge steel door. It stood imposingly like a colossus, stretching towards the ceiling. Its surface was covered with intricate engravings, runes and symbols that seemed to tell a story forgotten by time, a warning or perhaps a curse. In the center, carved with impressive detail, was an image that surprised me: a beast with a bull’s head and a human body, its eyes empty but piercing, as if it could see me through the door.
The creature seemed to be guarding something, and its presence was so real that for a moment I thought it would come to life. I approached cautiously, reaching out a hand towards the door. As I touched it, I felt a chill run down my arm, as if a strange energy were flowing through my veins. The runes around the beast began to glow with a red light, and a deep, resonant sound filled the air, as if the door were awakening.
Then, I heard the whisper again, but this time it was clearer, closer. It was not a single voice, but many, intertwined in a chorus speaking in an unknown language. I felt the labyrinth closing in around me, as if the walls were tightening, pushing me towards the door. There was no turning back. With one last breath, I pushed the door with all my might, and with a creak that rumbled like thunder, it began to swing wide open.
