Despite all that was going on, Scarlet found time to go through Justin’s home work with him.

It was day one and already the teachers had started their duties. Justin had reading and mechanics one. Reading was Scarlet’s forte but mechanics was not.

Mother and son were both struggling, staring at the homework as if it was an alien language. Wasn’t this too difficult for children his age?

Why would they give the children homework which they are unfamiliar with? she complained in her heart. Now, she looked completely stupid in front of her son.

"You have to do this with your father, mommy has a headache" she told him.

"Father is going away tomorrow, who will I do it with after? Teacher Penny also said that we must build modules from nanite fiber and old mecha materials to create a workable load carrying mecha or robot butler. It’s a two month project that must be presented before the term ends on academic exhibition day."

Huh, he sighed pitifully and asked, "Mother, will I still have time to play?"

She laughed at his plight and hugged him. "We will make a schedule so that you can balance school, training, play time and games. I will ask the maids to clear up a room for your project."

From where he was sitting in his usual corner, Tion raised his voice and said, "I can help governor, Eden, my son has the same project."

"Great, they can work together in that case. Bring Eden to the assigned work room when it’s time. I will also ask my brothers to help when you are not around and my sister Carol, she understands mechas more than most of us."

For a short while, Scarlet and Justin stared at the homework with similar frowns on their faces, both still very much confused.

In this moment, they looked very much like mother and son as Justin mirrored her expression perfectly.

She decided to visit star net to figure out the answers.

During her search, Adler suddenly paid a visit and when he peeped at the work and looked at his sister and nephew, he broke into booming laughter.

Scarlet pursed her lips and glared at him.

"Now this brings back memories." He pulled out a chair next to Justin, sat down and said.

"You my dear sister almost crying through mechanics and mother yelling at you about how simple it was but you just refused to learn."

"I still don’t understand it." Scarlet mumbled. "Brother, I am worried that Justin inherited some of my intelligence."

"You are intelligent Scarlet, mechanics just isn’t, ..uhm.., your cup of tea. You excelled where you meant to excel. If we were all good at mechanics then everyone would be a mecha crafter. If that happened, the world would be very much imbalanced. I have got the the little man, go do something else, I will teach him." Her brother carried Justin and all of his school supplies went into his space bracelet.

"Where are you going with my baby?" She asked him.

"Somewhere he can learn from without sighing every five seconds like he is doing. I am taking him to my place." Adler told her.

"Is he sleeping over?" She asked him.

"Yes, send our dinner to the library though. Three portions, Arya will be with us." Adler placed Justin on his shoulders as he said this.

The little one clapped and his spirit returned as if it had temporarily left but been recalled.

"Are you taking my son on your date?" She asked Adler.

He had been hanging out with Arya so much that everyone presumed they were dating. Why else would they be spending almost every evening together.

"A study date." Adler told her.

"A date is a date." Scarlet replied.

"Goodnight nosy sister of mine." He left before she could start asking more questions about Arya.

If he stayed much longer he could end up spilling his guts to her just as he had done before.

"Goodnight mommy." Justin waved.

"Mm, night baby." She blew him kisses until he disappeared from her sight completely.

"You can all go now." She told the two maids who were in stand by in the living room.

When they left, she looked at Tion and told him to go home as well. He had a son, and that meant Eden had homework too.

"From now on, unless it’s necessary you should be with your son at this time. Children are very sensitive about some things so you should spend as much time with him as possible. I am also giving you the weekend off, take him to the park."

He left and she remained all alone in the living room. Her hands went to her belly immediately and she rubbed it.

"Sweeties, can you hear me?" She asked softly. "I am your mum, whatever you do, hang in there with everything it takes.

Mum, will also do everything out here to make sure that you live."

Unsure if she imagined it, Scarlet felt some warmth in her belly, a smooth kind of warmth that felt good.

"Is that you?" She asked.

Then she laughed, after a minute of feeling nothing. I probably imagined that, she thought.

She went into her bedroom, took off her clothes and stood in front of a mirror, naked from head to toe and she looked at her stomach.

She rubbed it, stuck it out and did all sorts of funny positions to get it to protrude

Nothing worked of course, and it remained as flat as a surface.

"Am I really pregnant?" She asked herself.

She didn’t look pregnant and she certainly didn’t look it. It was possible that maybe the gods were toying with her. Severus said it often, you could not trust a deity one hundred percent, they always had loop holes, double meanings and deceit in their words and actions.

Perhaps I should search the forum for inform on natural born reapers and see what I can find out. If she could talk to a natural born reaper then a few things might be cleared up.

"Damn, my whole world just opened up." he said. "I should surprise you more often."

He started walking toward her slowly, his eyes on her like a hunter who had just spotted the fattest sheep in the flock.

At level four, Scarlet could smell even the lightest and deepest of scents and she could definitely smell his pheromones. Even before reaching her, he was already aroused.

He reached her and lowered his hands, putting them both around her waist. He walked her backwards slowly, towards the wall. Then he dipped his head in her neck and drew in a deep breath.

"I thought that my good day had turned bad because of that fire but I was so wrong. How long have you been here, naked, and waiting for me?"

He asked in a deep husky voice that did unexpected things to her body.
