Vampire's Veil Of Obsession-Chapter 106: Bite Me
Chapter 106: Bite Me
Zethan’s body stilled, unmoving. His eyes rested on her as they both gazed at each other. Lilia’s eyes widened at the sudden pause—she had least expected that pause, not to mention the way his eyes were still wide open.
Had she caught him off guard? She quietly opened her mouth.
"Fine then, if you can’t answer the question, kiss me, Zethan," she said in a whisper, which Zethan very much had heard. To her surprise, in a swift motion, Zethan moved his lips, crashing on hers as he kissed her hard as if using it as a way to tell her something. He pushed his tongue into her mouth as he kissed her hungrily, yet possessively. Lilia moaned as she replied to the kiss.
The main reason why Lilia had said that—she was scared. What if he says what she did not want to hear?... Was she ready? What if he had said "No"—what would she have done?
She pushed her tongue deeper, kissing him with the same sync as he did. Zethan’s eyes dilated slightly... his wife was rendering him speechless in so many ways. He pulled away slightly as they both stared at each other, their warm breaths meeting, increasing the desire from within. Lilia’s golden brown eyes met his crimson-dark ones, and then, to her surprise, something flashed in his eyes. Lilia’s lips parted in shock—what was that? Then, to her surprise, he moved back. He began to back away. Lilia’s gaze moved to him worriedly.
What was wrong? Why was he shifting away from her? Zethan moved his face to the side.
Lilia moved. She brought out her hands, but Zethan stopped her in her tracks.
"Don’t come any closer, Loris... please."
But Lilia moved again. She kept walking slowly and steadily toward him. She was concerned.
"No... honey, you can tell me what is the matter. I’m your wife, and I need to be here for you," she spoke softly, but Zethan shook his head as he continued to move back—Lilia had never seen him this vulnerable like he was hiding some internal pain.
"Don’t come any closer, wife," he said in a distant, cold tone.
Lilia stopped in her tracks by how cold his tone was. Did he just speak to her like that? It had been a long time since he spoke in such a tone towards her.
Zethan’s lips parted as he realized the impact of his words on her. He sighed as he ran his hands through his hair. He did not know what had suddenly hit him, making him feel the urge to...
"It is for our safety, sweetheart..."
Lilia interrupted, her gaze sharp.
"What safety? You don’t tell me anything, you don’t explain anything to me. How do you expect us not to have a misunderstanding... huh? Convince me! I try to understand, but you keep on being silent. Tell me, Zethan, am I a burden... say to me truthfully, am I a burden to you? Tell me and I will leave you."
She spoke, her voice already cracking as she held back her tears.
Why was fate and the world never at her side? Just when she was about to open up to him, he... was pushing her gently away from him.
"Zethan Lyall."
Zethan’s body froze in disbelief. She had said his full name. Was she mad at him? He had seen that look in her eyes before, but it was the calmness of her tone that cut deep.
"Tell me, honey... do you pity me? Do you do all this out of pity for me, a poor-looking girl?"
Zethan’s body stood unmoving, and as he kept doing that, she kept assuming she was right. Why did he not say anything to show that she was wrong? Yet he was silent. A tear fell from her eyes straight to the floor.
"I need to stop this..."
He immediately interrupted her gently.
"If I stay anywhere close to you right now, I am telling you this—I will... I... I will drink your blood... I know you wouldn’t want to see your husband acting like a monster..."
Lilia immediately interrupted.
"You want my blood, Zethan? Then go ahead and take it... I trust you. I know you won’t do anything to me."
Zethan pushed his lips to the side. Loris had already put so much trust in him.
"You trust me too much, Loris. Blood for vampires is no different from food for humans."
Lilia understood perfectly what he was trying to say—meaning if a hungry person sees food by his side, he would waste no time in devouring it. It was better the food should not be given in the first place if he was told to refrain from it.
"I know you won’t do anything. Now come here and take it, or I will meet you there myself," she spoke softly, yet her eyes were filled with determination.
At this point, Lilia paid no mind to the panties and bra that she wore.
Zethan still stood there. The only thing he was wearing was his boxers, his hair disheveled by the occasional sweeping back of it with his hands.
"I am very dangerous, Loris. I have not just shown you that side of me," he spoke warning lacing in his tone.
Lilia’s eyes locked with his as she spoke.
"Then show me that side. It seems you have no plans to come here. Fine, I will go to you myself."
She began to walk towards him. Zethan’s body refused to move as he had not expected her to say those words. Lilia finally stopped just in front of him. She raised her head as she gazed at him, her eyes giving no room for argument as she moved her hands, pushing the hair that covered her shoulders to the side.
"Go on. Bite me," she spoke.
"No, I can’t, Lilia," his voice low and deep.
"But you want the blood, right? Then why not bite me?"
"It’s fine. I have a feeder. I will just call her..." he spoke.
Lilia’s eyes stretched open.
"Her?.... So you are telling me you prefer to bite some woman’s neck out there while your wife is willingly giving herself to you here?" she spoke in a surprised tone, her voice cracking more than usual as she continued.
"Wow... isn’t that surprising, honey."
She smiled again, yet that smile did not reach her eyes. Zethan remained quiet. He had no idea what to do at this point—he was just speechless.
Lilia turned. Just as she was about to take another step, she felt Zethan wrap his strong arm around her bare shoulders, hugging her from behind.
"Let go of me..." she spoke in a chilling tone. The atmosphere became tense.
Why did it look like she was forcing herself on him, like a beggar with no choice? Why did it feel like she was being a burden to him? Why, just why did she fall in love, it seemed like the more they spent time together, the deeper the love she had for him grew.
’Was it a one-sided love’
She could not even believe that Zethan was willing to leave and bite someone else’s neck when she was here, willing to give him her blood.
Zethan’s hands around her tightened slightly as he spoke hoarsely, yet deeply.
"It is not like that, sweetheart. I just don’t want to make any mistake..."
"Answer me, Zethan. You had said you would not be loyal in this marriage. Since I met you, have you..." she paused biting her trembling lower lips hard. ’
Was she crossing the line? Was she breaking boundaries?’
"No, I haven’t, and I will never. As long as you are with me, then there won’t be," he spoke.
Lilia’s heart sparked, warming up. Butterflies danced in her tummy in a sweet sync. Her ears were slightly pink. Why did she feel so relieved, so excited? But yet, the jealousy was still there. But she managed to speak.
"Don’t ever meet her again. Ever. Whoever she is."
Was she being selfish? No. That was what she wanted.
"Very well then, wife. I will not send for her ever again," he spoke, and Lilia’s lips finally stretched wide with satisfaction.
She turned to face him, but to her surprise, his fangs elongated before retreating.
"It’s fine. Let it be. May I see it?" she spoke softly, raising her hands to his lips.
Zethan’s eyes were now blood red as he stared at her with a crimson gaze, his fangs now in her view. Lilia moved her hands as she touched it. She gasped softly, excitement bubbling within her as she touched it, her lips curling upwards into a smile, her finger calmly grazing the sharpness.
"Should I bite you?" he spoke almost in a hesitant tone.
"Yes, sure. You may. Of course, you can, my husband."
Zethan stood there, utterly stunned. Was this Loris excited for him to bite her? Her lower lip was half-bitten, her eyes lighting up with happiness.
"You can do it here, in one of your favorites," she whispered.
Zethan fell silent as she pushed her bra down, her breast now coming into his view.
"Bite me here, Love."
