Chapter 131: Are Mine.

Lilia’s eyes fluttered open slowly as she let out a soft yawn. A faint ache in her inner thigh made her shift slightly. She was wearing a baggy shirt—Zethan’s, unmistakably. His arms were wrapped tightly around her waist as he spooned her from behind, and her cheeks flushed deeply as the memory of last night rushed back into her mind.

Oh goodness.

Her face turned a deeper shade of crimson when she realized they’d gone at it until midnight. How on earth was she going to face him now?

Oh my.

He pulled her closer in his sleep, and Lilia quickly buried her face into the oversized shirt, her cheeks burning.

’Please stop thinking about it. Please stop thinking about it. Please...’ her inner voice begged, but it was no use. Her heart thudded wildly in her chest. His scent clung to the shirt—clean, warm, and maddeningly perfect. She couldn’t stop herself from sniffing it, inhaling like it would calm her down.

Sniff sniff.

Until a hand suddenly gripped her waist tighter.

Lilia froze. Her eyes widened.

Zethan was awake.

"If you want to sniff me so badly," he murmured, voice rough and low with sleep, "you could just go straight to the source the original."

Oh goodness.

That voice.

That morning voice.

Lilia blinked, a faint look of surprise flickering across her face as she turned to him, her face flushed as she realized he knew what she had done.

"What are you talking about?" she asked, her voice soft with sleep. After a beat, she added more quietly, "Good morning."

Zethan nodded slowly, his words drowsy. "Loris... good morning," he murmured. Then his lips curled faintly. "Oh, sweetie, you know what I’m talking about."

His gaze held hers—half-lidded, disheveled silver hair, sleepy but intense. His teeth lightly bit down on his bottom lip, the simple action making her breath catch.

Lilia couldn’t help but stare, completely captivated. Even first thing in the morning, with bed hair and sleepy eyes, he still looked drop-dead gorgeous. Absolutely unfair.

Lilia shook her head, a smile curling on her lips.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about, honey," she murmured softly.

Zethan pulled her gently toward him, and in a smooth motion, she was now facing him completely —her hands resting on his chest as she nestled her face against the curve of his shoulder. One of his arms remained securely around her waist, grounding her.

Then, she felt his hand slip beneath the hem of her shirt.

Her breath hitched.

Slowly, his fingers brushed along her bare waist, warm against her skin. Lilia’s eyes widened as she looked up at him, startled and unsure, but he only dipped his head lower, drinking in her expression with unreadable eyes.

She quickly averted her gaze, cheeks flushed and heart pounding.

His hand traveled further up, caressing the smooth lines of her side before pausing—resting gently over the swell of her breast. He said nothing, only watching her, waiting.

A soft gasp escaped Lilia’s lips as she felt his touch there—and then her heart nearly stopped.

Her eyes widened as she lay there, breathless.

Zethan was doing it—while his gaze stayed fixed on her face. His fingers grazed her nipples softly as he squeezed gently.

"Your breasts are so perfect and soft," he whispered huskily, their eyes still locked. Lilia’s eyes opened slightly, caught off guard by his words.

Before she could say a word, the soft chime of the doorbell rang out.

Zethan stepped aside, his expression unreadable, and leaned in to press a gentle kiss to her forehead.

"I’ll be back," he said softly.

And just like that, he turned and stood from the bed.

He began adjusting the waistband of his trousers. Lilia blinked rapidly.

Oh no.

Her gaze had—very unfortunately, or rather, fortunately—landed right there on his V-line. And despite her best efforts, it lingered. Was she... was she actually turning shameless now?

She quickly turned her face to the side, heat rushing to her cheeks, just as Zethan began walking toward the door.

"Zethan," she called quietly.

He stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her.

"Don’t tell me you’re going out like that," she said, nearly in disbelief as she pushed herself upright on the bed.

Zethan simply raised a brow before his lips widened in amusement. Lilia’s eyes flicked over his torso—those well-defined abs, the way his trousers clung perfectly—and her stomach fluttered.

"At least wear something before going there," she muttered, trying to sound casual, but her voice wavered slightly.

And yet, for some ridiculous reason, she didn’t want anyone else to see him like this. Not even a glimpse of him in those perfect trousers. Those abs? Absolutely not. That was her view.

’Wow,’ her inner voice mocked. ’Once again—wow. So selfish.’

But in that moment, Lilia didn’t care.

She didn’t want to share. Not even a little.

A small smirk tugged at Zethan’s lips as he caught the glimpse of Lilia’s frown from the corner of his vision.

"But you don’t have to worry, dear wife," he teased, his voice smooth. "It’s just Lucas."

Lilia shook her head, her cheeks flushed. Without looking at him, she muttered quietly, turning her face away, "It does not matter who is there. Your abs are mine only."

Zethan chuckled, a low, mischievous sound that filled the room. "So naughty," he said with a playful grin, then walked over to the wardrobe, casually selecting a top to wear.

He finally picked up a plain black shirt, slipping it on with ease. His lips curled into a smile as he thought about his wife’s possessiveness—it was almost endearing.

He then walked toward the door, his steps steady. As he opened it, Lilia, still on the bed, watched quietly. She hadn’t heard their conversation, but from what little she could make out, it seemed Lucas was the one standing outside.

Lilia sat in silence, her mind wandering. She finally realized that she and Zethan had never visited the beach together—just the two of them. The thought of it excited her, though. Spending time alone with him, running along the shore while Zethan tried to catch her, her feet splashing in the water... it seemed perfect.

She wasn’t complaining, though; the time they already spent together was more than enough, and she was grateful for every moment. Still, the idea of being with him on the beach, just the two of them, felt like something she needed to experience.

She bit her lip softly, waiting for him to finish his conversation with Lucas before sharing her thoughts with him.

Finally, the door clicked shut, and a smile stretched across her face. She couldn’t hide the excitement bubbling inside her now that Zethan was here.

Zethan walked toward the bed, his gaze locking with hers. His lips curved into a smirk.

"My Loris is all smiles," he mused, humming as if pretending to think. "I wonder why."

Lilia’s lips widened further at the sound of his teasing voice. Zethan sat down beside her, his smirk never fading.

Lilia bit her lips softly as she turned toward him, her gaze now meeting his. She hesitated for a while. Then she finally spoke, "I was thinking... maybe we could both go to the beach and spend more time together." Her voice was quiet, almost unsure of what his reply would be.

The corners of his lips curved slightly as he asked gently, "Can you swim?"

Lilia shook her head, her gaze dropping in embarrassment. "No, I can’t," she admitted softly, feeling a little ashamed that she, a grown woman, didn’t know how to swim.

He gave a small nod. "Fine. I’ll teach you then."

Her cheeks deepened in color, and she immediately looked up, her voice hopeful and quiet. "So... does this mean we’ll be going to the beach?"

He nodded again. "Yes, we will. Once I get back. I’ll be leaving today."

Lilia stiffened slightly, caught off guard by his words. Her eyes widened—was that why Lucas had called?

Then he spoke again, more seriously this time. "There’s an emergency. I need to travel today."

Lilia’s heart swelled slightly. She didn’t want to seem needy. Of course, he had spent more time than usual with her lately—even carrying her to the CEO gathering. That should have been enough. She shouldn’t be feeling this way.

Noticing the slight drop in her expression, Zethan gently said, "You don’t have to worry. Once I’m back, we’ll go to the beach."

Lilia lifted her eyes to meet his and softly asked, "Promise?"

Zethan smiled. "Of course. I promise."

Her lips curled into a small, relieved smile. Zethan reached out, gently pulling her from where she sat into his lap. Her back now faced him, his arms wrapping securely around her shoulders as he pressed his face into the curve of her neck.

Then Lilia quietly asked, her voice barely above a whisper, "So... how long are you going to be gone? When will you come back?"

Zethan was silent for a moment. The pause stretched just long enough to make her chest tighten. Then he finally replied, his voice calm but serious,

"Two weeks."
