Chapter 25 - 22 Seiji's Realization
Hello my lovely readers, your author is back!
It is finally over (For now at Least) Thanks for all your blessings. I can finally get back to concentrating on writing. For those who are complaining about the slow pace and too much world building (filler, as you call it) I apologize and will fix that right after this Chapter.
Before then, Enjoy.

Dina's POV
In the lands of wall Maria, The walled civilization holding the Eldians who all fled years ago To Paradis alongside King Karl Fritz.
The general Eldian Calendar.
The year 845.
My name is Dina Fritz, and I ... I'm in ...
'I ... Where am I?'
The world was blurred when I awoke, the rough sensation of grass brushing against my fingers. The air smelled of damp earth and something acrid, something burnt.
'I ... I thought I was ... Is this, the afterlife.' The first thing that came into My eyes were trees.
Large, towering, Green, luscious Trees. They were bigger than any I had ever seen.
Especially in Marley, where Trees were scarce.
'Hold on ... Marley?'
The dizziness hit like a sledgehammer. I felt like I Just had a whole bottle with Grisha when ...
'...'
My thoughts halted. My mind cleared, and my eyes opened wide fully. This was a Forest, one I just found Myself in.
It was dark, really dark. Nighttime.
I pushed myself up, feeling the chill of the wind against my bare skin, yet I wasn't cold.
No, I was hot, steam releasing from My body.
'I'm ...' I looked at my hands as it all came back.
'Human.'
It took me a moment to register that I was human. Not a mindless beast. Not a monster driven by an endless hunger.
It was ... Surreal. I didn't laugh, I didn't cry, Now frowned, nor smiled. I just sat there in the darkness.
Processing, understanding.
The crying came once I did.
'.. Grisha.'
My husband, my Love. As a descendant of the Eldian royal Family, I knew what had happened to me. I had become a Titan, and there was only one way for me to be what I am now.
I ate someone.
A Titan holder to be exact. Another holding the Power of the Nine. How long had passed? I don't know. My memories as a Titan didn't exist with me. It all felt, dark, empty, like I had been trapped in a nightmare.
However, now the Nightmare had ended. By some way or Form, I had eaten a Titan holder.
I was, Lucky.
However, the last few Moments of My life flashed before My eyes. Grisha was supposed to go right after me. Meaning currently, he was a Titan, just like I was.
I had lost my husband, and I had no idea how to find him. So I cried, voice low without wailing.
My soft sobs filling the Quiet Forest. In the process, I continued to remember More. Not about me, but about him. The one before me, the one I ate to gain a second chance at life.
The result sickened me to the bone.
Flashes of red clouded my mind, and then I saw it. Him.
Bertholdt Hoover.
Or rather—what remained of him. His face. His fear. The last, desperate moments of his life before I devoured him whole.
A warrior. A child. I had eaten a child.
I pressed trembling fingers to my lips, as if the touch alone could erase the truth. But the flood of memories, his memories, told me otherwise. The training. The desperation. The hopelessness. And in the end, the acceptance.
He had known.
He had known he was going to die.
And now, I was here. Alive. Human. The power of the Colossal Titan surging within me like an ember waiting to ignite. But this was wrong. This was all wrong.
It took me several hours of processing before Finally coming to acceptance with My new reality. I had eaten a person, lost My husband, sold out by my son ... I had lost everything.
His name, Bertholdt .... I didn't gain his Full Memories, but I gained enough to understand how and why he was here, and where exactly here was.
I was in the City, the walled Lands of the Eldian civilization that fled the Mainland many years ago.
It was the year 845. I became a Titan in year 832. Thirteen years then. I learned More from the part of his memories I could remember.
Marley had started.
The warrior plan Zeke had been implemented for had begun. The one I ate, Bertholdt Hoover, was the successor of the Colossal Titan. Alongside others, he had been sent here To retrieve the founder and had bronze down the wall to do so. Only to be eaten by Me upon transforming back into a human.
Then did that mean ... Was Zeke here too? I trembled at the thought, standing up as I began to walk. Inside the walls of The Eldian civilization, I had no idea where I was, where I was going, or what to do now.
Each step felt foreign, a paradox of familiarity and dissonance. My bare feet sank into the damp earth, the remnants of steam still rising from my skin as I wandered through the forest. The darkness no longer frightened me. I had spent over a decade in an abyss far darker than this—one where time held no meaning, where hunger was the only sensation I could comprehend.
But now, I was human. Again.
The weight of that realization pressed upon me like an unseen force, heavy and unrelenting. My thoughts drifted to Zeke. If Marley had already deployed the warriors, then my son—
No. I couldn't afford to think like that. Not now. If Marley had deployed them, then they were after The Founder.
They wanted to reclaim it. Meaning, Eldia would have no chance or reviving once they did.
I couldn't let that happen. Grisha is most likely currently a Titan, and My son had been brainwashed by Marley's propaganda. I had to do something, I had to save them.
To accomplish that, there was only one way.
'I must ... Reclaim the Founding Titan.'
POV Change
Those were her last thoughts, before the scene was swallowed by darkness. The last remnants of Dina's memories fading like whispers in the wind, emerging in its place was a world of red with Three black Tomoe spinning in circles.
In the outside world, the woman's body had gone completely still. 'Well, this sucks.'
Opposite, Seiji frowned, his crimson Sharingan glowing a deep red ever as he Transversed Dina's mind.
'I thought I was wrong. Hoped I was wrong, yet Fate does have a way of screwing with Me, doesn't It.'
The young Uchiha thought, his brows tightening at the discovery he had made.
He had body flickered to the Chapel after eliminating the squad that attacked him. Just in time to see The standoff and observe.
The result?
'This Means ... .' '... There's no denying It. This woman Is Dina Fritz.'
Dina Fritz, First wife of Grisha and hence, Stepmother of the Protagonist of Attack On Titan, Eren Jaeger.
'But, how? .. why? What happened.' From the beginning of the confrontation, To Dina revealing her wounded hand, to ordering the guards to leave, to revealing her identity, Seiji witnessed everything.
The moment she tried to transform, he utilized his Mangekyo Sharingan, using the combined effect of both eyes to seal away her ability to transform into a Titan.
He has used it once before Two days ago, on the Titan in the forest. This was the second usage.
Following which, he placed both the female In glasses and the Fake Rod Reiss in a Genjutsu, before using his eyes to search through Dina's Memories so he could answer the Question running through his Mind at the Moment.
How?
Dina Fritz was transformed into a Pure Titan after being brought to Paradis Island. According to what he remembered of the series, she would remain that way even at the last Moment of death.
Killed by her Stepson, Eren Jaeger who commanded nearby Titans to devour her after coming in contact with her royal blood.
The time was currently year 849. It was still a year before the struggle for Trost arc. Logically speaking, she should still be the smiling Titan, wandering the lands of wall Maria.
So why? Why was she here? Why was she in human form? Why did she have the powers of a Titan shifter? And why was she looking for Rod Reiss?
Not wanting to waste time talking, he resorted directly to Genjutsu and found the answer.
'Berthodlt.'
It was on that day, Four years ago. The single defining Moment of the Attack On Titan series, the Fall of Zhiganshina. He saw her in her Titan form as she approached the wall, seconds after it was breached by the foot of the Colossal Titan.
Not from her Memories, though.
Seiji didn't see her Memories throughout her Thirteen years as a Titan. So how did he see her approaching the wall in her Titan form?
Through someone else's Memories, she inherited, Bertholdt's. On that day, Just after puncturing a hole in Wall Maria and reverting From the Colossal Titan's Form, Bertholdt had been caught and eaten by The Smiling Titan.
'This ...'
The information left Seiji stunned to the core.
'It can't be.' he thought in confusion. From what he remembered from the anime, The smiling Titan did see Bertholdt during the fall of wall Maria. However, It had ignored Bertholdt and simply walked through the hole he had made.
Eren's Future self, during his time in the Paths with the Founder's power, made sure of ....
'...' It happened then.
For a moment, Seiji's thoughts froze, then and there.
'That's right. The only reason The smiling Titan ignored Bertholdt was because Eren's Future self decided that in order for Armin to get The Colossal Titan, Bertholdt couldn't get eaten by anyone else. So using the Founder's Powers, he made her ignore him, heading into wall Maria instead.'
The boy thought, something slowly unraveling. Indeed, Dina Fritz ignored Bertholdt solely due to Future Eren's control, all to make sure Armin could gain the Colossal Titan in his ultimate plan for The Rumbling.
However, something entirely different was playing out before him.

Bertholdt had been eaten.
Meaning, Eren's Future self hadn't intervened. If Eren's Future self didn't intervene, then Bertholdt's death was guaranteed.
Bertholdt Hoover was dead. Eaten by Dina Fritz herself, hence becoming the new holder of the Colossal Titan.
This was why she was alive, this was why she was human, this was why she had her Powers. It all made sense .... Yet, at the same time, made no sense at all.
Why didn't future Eren ensure the past played out like it should? How could he let Dina Fritz become the new Colossal Titan? The attack on Titan universe was a deterministic Timeline.
Until he came along, the Future couldn't change.
Seiji knew the Butterfly effects would some appear, but that was supposed to come in the Future, not affect the past.
He expected Zeke or the Marley military to attack sooner, The struggle for Trost arc to advance faster, or on a random situation or the other.
This was not part of his expectations.
'Why did Eren's Future self not intervene?'
Looking at the dazed Dina Fritz, Seiji's eye rows Narrowed greatly.
'What's happened to the Timeline?'

Meanwhile,
Kenny Ackerman clicked his tongue in irritation, crouching near the blood-soaked ground. The flickering lantern revealed the twisted corpses of the attack squad sent after their target.
Limbs severed, throats slit, bodies beheaded, blood and Corpses littering the forest fields.
"It seems they took on More than they could handle ..."
"Captain ..."
The Ackerman had his thought process interrupted as Caven appeared.
"We found More down the road. The designated ambush squad, bodies blown to bits in an explosion, none survived."
Caven paused for a moment before continuing. "This wasn't just a fight. This was a massacre."
Kenny sighed, standing up and adjusting his hat. "And here I thought we'd be dealin' with a single Individual. How cunning."
Caven shot him a questioning look. "You think it's a group?"
"Most likely." Kenny replied.
"It'll be hard for a single individual to pull off the same thing. Of course, that's for the ones killed with explosives. Those of em here, on the other hand, were all killed by the same person. A blade wielder, from the looks of it..."
"You think it's a Pro?." Caven raised an eyebrow.
"Nah. He's somethin' worse. To achieve this, he has to be quite skilled with maneuver gear. Kinda reminds me of an old acquaintance." he replied, a gleam flashing through his eyes.
The torches illuminated more of the bloodstained dirt road, leading further towards an Isolated building in the distance.
"The decoy and Alma?" Kenny asked.
"No bodies yet."
"In that case, They can only be in one Place..."
