Jiang Xueling left the ward, went downstairs, left the Hospital and found a restaurant to pack two portions of food, then carried them back to the Hospital.

Lu Zheng had originally thought Jiang Xue had gone back to see the child, but to his surprise she had actually gone to buy lunch, so he said, "You child, why didn’t you go back to see the child?" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Jiang Xue smiled without saying anything. Instead, she opened the food, placed one portion in front of Lu Zheng, and said, "Uncle Lu, eat."

"Alright, then I won’t stand on ceremony." Lu Zheng laughed, picked up his chopsticks and was just about to eat when his phone rang.

When Lu Zheng saw the caller ID, he immediately put down his chopsticks, then said to Jiang Xue, "Ah Xue, I’m going to take this call."

"Brother Lan, you’re here!" Jiang Xue put down her chopsticks, then stood up to greet Lan Tianyu.

"How’s your brother?" Lan Tianyu asked as he walked over to Lu Jintian at the front of the ward. When he saw that ring of bandages on Lu Jintian’s body, his expression turned somewhat grim.

Lu Jintian was an old hand at driving; logically speaking he shouldn’t have gotten into a car accident. Besides, he’d always been cautious behind the wheel—so how did this happen?

"He’s already out of danger. the Doctor said in another three hours my brother will wake up."

After hearing this, Lan Tianyu withdrew his gaze, looked at Jiang Xue and asked, "Little Xue, what did the police say about your brother’s case?"

He had just rushed over from the company and hadn’t gone to the police station yet to get information. He had no idea what was going on, whether it was Lu Jintian’s own responsibility or someone else’s.

"The police said the hit-and-run driver fled and is still being pursued."

Originally, Jiang Xue had wanted to say she would stay, but when she thought about how she was full while Little Reunion was still hungry, she nodded. "Okay, I got it."
