Chapter 1209: Done

The twenty figures wore various attire. Some looked like normal civilians, while others looked exactly like assassins, wearing robes that entirely covered their features. All of them possessed a mix of SS-rank and SSS-rank aura.

The moment they were suddenly teleported to a different place and gathered here together, they were stunned by the sudden change of scenery and by the realization that each of them was an assassin from the same origin.

However, they were even more shocked by the sight of Aldrian’s figure. They instantly took wary stances, but Aldrian ignored their reactions and spoke to them.

"I know you are the assassins of the Formless Phantom Temple. You were carrying out assassination missions for the Red Moon Guild Master, Wei Zhenyuan, who paid for your services to kill several otherworlders currently staying on Earth."

They were shocked that Aldrian knew about their mission. They prepared to attack him with killing intent.

There was only one choice whenever they faced a situation like this.

They had to kill anyone who knew about their mission.

However, the problem at this moment was that Aldrian was someone even they were not confident they could kill.

Even now, they were still shocked. How did Aldrian find all of them, who were scattered across the world, and move all of them here instantly? What kind of absurd ability was this?

"I do not intend to cause bloodshed here," Aldrian continued, making all of them focus on him.

"But you have to stop your mission. Do not kill those otherworlders and return to your place peacefully. The Red Moon Guild is already doomed, and Wei Zhenyuan is already dead." Aldrian looked at each of the assassins.

The assassins frowned.

Wei Zhenyuan was dead?

"With the death of your client, you no longer have to continue your mission. But if you still insist on continuing it, then let me make this clear. The moment you try to kill any of your targets, I will make sure that after today, there will no longer be a Formless Phantom Temple." Aldrian’s voice was calm, but that alone was enough to make all the assassins’ hearts shake.

They felt offended by the way Aldrian spoke as if he could easily destroy all of them. The Formless Phantom Temple was an assassin organization feared throughout the world. If there was another organization that could rival the Malignant in terms of elusiveness, it was them.

They were already infamous for assassinating many powerful hunters. They even had records of assassinating SSSS-rank hunters. No one had ever discovered their hideouts even though many had tried searching for them.

They did not like how arrogant Aldrian was.

They thought it would be better to fight Aldrian to the death at this moment, yet no one wanted to be the first to attack.

All of them hesitated.

Simply because of the reputation he and his wives possessed as beings capable of clearing all the SSSS-rank hostile gates. With that reputation, his strength could not be doubted.

If they recklessly attacked him and failed to kill him, then it might truly spell doom for their organization.

"To think that I would meet the person who has been causing a sensation around the world recently. It truly is a surprise."

Suddenly, another voice rang out, and a dark silhouette rose from one of the assassins’ shadows. It quickly took shape before manifesting into a young man.

The young man had long white hair and wore a black robe. He had pale skin as if all blood had been drained from his body, along with a handsome face capable of attracting many women. He also possessed impressive SSSS-rank power.

The moment the assassins saw him, they instantly knelt. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Temple Master!" they greeted.

The young man did not answer them and instead kept looking at Aldrian with an amicable smile while his eyes remained closed. Aldrian’s expression did not change, but he knew that this man had just arrived.

Aldrian could sense that this man had a direct connection to these assassins, as if he possessed a shortcut linked to his subordinates and could appear wherever they were by using their shadows as a medium.

"I suppose you are the master of the Formless Phantom Temple," Aldrian said.

The young man nodded with a smile. "It is rude of me not to introduce myself. People call me the Formless Shadow King. It is not a title I dare brag about in front of your excellency, but it is what those who know me call me, and your excellency may call me that as well."

"Then I assume you heard what I said earlier. So what is your answer?" Aldrian asked.

The young man kept smiling.

"We will withdraw from the mission. If what your excellency said about Wei Zhenyuan already being dead is true, then I do not think there is any point in continuing the mission. The client is already dead, and his organization has collapsed. We will stop the entire mission regarding Wei Zhenhai."

Aldrian nodded. "Good. I will also keep my word. I will not disturb you. I am glad that I do not have to cause any more bloodshed today," he said before disappearing.

The Formless Shadow King was stunned when Aldrian suddenly vanished and he could no longer sense him.

’Just like that? He just left without saying anything more? His character is much simpler than I thought,’ he thought.

The other assassins were also quite surprised when Aldrian disappeared, and they looked toward their master.

"Master, is it okay to just let him go?" one of the SSS-rank assassins asked.

"Are you implying that we should have fought him just now?" the Formless Shadow King asked with a chuckle.

"That guy is different from anyone we have faced before. Even just standing in front of him gives off a kind of suppression as though we are standing before a higher being. We do not know what kind of abilities he has or how strong he truly is. Even at this moment, I still do not understand how he found all of you and instantly brought you here," he sighed.

"If we had attacked him, the result would not have been certain," he added, causing the assassin to fall silent.

"For now, it is better that we do not attract a powerful enemy like him. Let us return to the main hideout," the Formless Shadow King said before his body turned into shadows and disappeared into one of the assassins’ shadows.

The other assassins also transformed into dark shadows before leaving without a trace.

------------------------------

Aldrian had already teleported back to Shanghai and appeared atop one of the skyscrapers. From where he stood, he could see the Shanghai branch building of the Red Moon Guild, which at this moment was already being raided by various hunters and angry mobs.

The police positioned in the distance did not stop them and only made sure the chaos did not spread to other places. Aldrian could see Captain Su Wenxin among the line of police officers.

As he observed the people venting their anger toward the Red Moon Guild branch, Aldrian then sent a voice transmission to Bai Cangming.

"Cangming."

Bai Cangming, who at this moment was inside a dark room observing the situation across the country, was stunned when he heard Aldrian’s voice. However, he quickly greeted him.

"Your Majesty."

"Cangming, tighten the security around any otherworlders currently in China and tell the other Hunter Associations around the world to do the same with the otherworlders in their respective countries," Aldrian said.

"I just stopped Wei Zhenyuan’s last attempt to cause trouble for us. He actually used the Formless Phantom Temple to try to assassinate several important otherworlders across the world. He planned to put the blame on China’s guilds and Hunter Associations for it and cause all of you to fall into conflict with various otherworlder powers."

Hearing that, Bai Cangming was astonished.

"Although I already dealt with the Formless Phantom Temple by warning them, and even the Formless Shadow King himself came to give me his word that they would stop, it does not hurt to tighten the security around those important otherworlders to prevent any mishap that could drag all of you into trouble."

Bai Cangming’s expression turned solemn.

"I understand, Your Majesty. I will do that." But then he remembered something and quickly asked Aldrian, "Your Majesty, if I may know, was it you who killed Wei Zhenyuan?"

"Yes, it was me," Aldrian answered without hesitation.

Bai Cangming nodded, seeming unsurprised. "I see. Well, I just wanted to confirm whether it was really you. I will inform the others later so they do not have to worry about Wei Zhenyuan’s mysterious death."

"Anyway, please excuse me, Your Majesty. I will inform the others about the otherworlders."

Aldrian nodded before cutting off the connection. He observed the chaotic Red Moon Guild branch for a moment before using his disguise technique and teleporting once again.

He appeared in one of the city parks located near the coastline where he could see the vast sea. His wives and the Mo siblings were inside the park, seemingly enjoying their time there. His wives sat on one of the park benches while looking toward the beach, whereas the Mo siblings could be seen buying food from one of the food stalls.

Sylphia and her harem sisters were also already using disguises so they would not attract attention from other people.

At this moment, they wanted a peaceful atmosphere, private time together without attracting attention from many people, so they decided to use disguises.

Sylphia and the others smiled when they saw him return.

"How is it?" she asked.

Aldrian smiled and nodded.

"It’s done."
