Chapter 1160: The News Spreads

(A few moments later, Planet Satoru)

Where the job of the Cult warriors ended, was where the job of the shadows left behind by Chaosbringer truly began.

Because the very moment Leo returned to Planet Satoru carrying Kaelith’s severed head in his hand, while Veyr, once again disguised as General Sparrow, carried Ru Vassa’s corpse over his shoulder, the celestial order that had ruled the universe for the last two thousand years changed forever.

Across the Rainbow Stream, countless sleeper agents, spies, hackers, broadcasters, informants, smugglers, and underground sympathizers activated simultaneously, as though they had been waiting for this exact moment their entire lives.

As within minutes, hidden broadcasts began flooding GalaxyNet, while within hours, every major information channel throughout the universe had been hijacked repeatedly by the same horrifying image.

Cult Master Leo standing atop Planet Satoru’s command tower beneath the crimson sky, holding Kaelith’s severed head calmly in one hand, and the Cult’s flag in another, while he looked down on the citizens of the universe with his cold gray eyes.

And once that image settled into the minds of trillions watching, the message finally began.

"To the warriors and citizens of the Cult watching this broadcast..."

Leo began calmly, as his voice echoed across countless planets through hacked frequencies and emergency transmissions.

"I only have one thing to say."

For a few moments, he simply stood there while Kaelith’s severed head remained visible in his grasp, letting the universe fully absorb the sight before he continued.

"Our time has finally come."

Those simple words alone sent chills throughout countless worlds.

"The Betrayer..."

Leo continued coldly.

"The Eternal Sovereign responsible for most of the suffering our Cult endured during the last twenty five hundred years..."

"...is finally dead."

His voice carried no excitement or arrogance, only a cold certainty that made the declaration feel heavier than any scream.

"Punished for his crimes exactly as he deserved."

The camera slowly shifted toward Ru Vassa’s corpse lying nearby, her lifeless body displayed clearly enough for there to be no mistake regarding her fate.

"And this..."

Leo muttered quietly.

"...is only the beginning."

Across the universe, silence spread, because even now, despite witnessing Kaelith’s severed head directly on screen, countless people still struggled to accept the reality unfolding before them.

"A few years ago, I promised all of you that before the end of this century, the Cult Of Ascension would control over half the Rainbow Stream."

Leo continued, as absolute confidence radiated from every word leaving his mouth.

"Today, I make that promise once again."

His gaze slowly lifted toward the skies above Planet Satoru.

"However this time..."

"We will complete that dream within fifty years."

The declaration shook civilizations instantly, because unlike before, these words no longer sounded like fantasy, ambition, or empty propaganda designed to rally believers.

Not after Kaelith’s death.

Not after Ru Vassa’s corpse.

Not after the universe watched two Gods disappear within a single day.

Then Leo slowly looked directly toward the camera itself.

"And to any remaining enemy Gods watching this broadcast..."

He muttered calmly.

"Ru Vassa and Kaelith could not defeat us together."

A faint smile spread across his face.

"So if any of you still believe you can succeed where they failed...

Then I suggest that you gather together.

Show up for a fight.

And die."

The atmosphere surrounding the broadcast became suffocatingly heavy hearing those words.

"Because from this day onward, the Cult bows to nobody anymore."

"There will be no negotiations, no surrender, and no compromise."

His eyes darkened sharply while divine pressure slowly spread around the command tower itself. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"The Cult will take whatever it desires."

A brief silence followed.

"And what we desire..."

"...is the entire universe."

The declaration spread across GalaxyNet like wildfire.

Then finally, Leo addressed the ordinary citizens living beneath the Righteous Alliance itself.

"And to the citizens of the Righteous Alliance..."

He continued calmly.

"To the people who mocked us, feared us, tried suppressing us, or prayed endlessly for our downfall..."

His expression remained completely steady.

"There is still time to repent."

His voice lowered slightly.

"When Cult warriors arrive upon your worlds, welcome them as liberators instead of enemies."

"Because the old order ruling this universe is already collapsing beneath its own weakness."

"And anyone who continues clinging to it will collapse together with it."

A dangerous stillness settled across the broadcast.

"This is your final warning....

Either you lot will surrender peacefully and live under our rule.

Or you shall resist, and perish....

That is all."

The transmission ended there.

However, while the broadcast itself stopped, the chaos it created only continued growing larger by the second.

Because Chaosbringer’s shadow network immediately circulated the footage throughout every major system within the Rainbow Stream, making sure no local government, clan, sect, or civilian world could bury the truth.

Public squares replayed the footage repeatedly, burner accounts flooded GalaxyNet with clips and reactions, and entire planetary communication systems were hijacked for several minutes at a time.

No matter how desperately local governments attempted suppressing the footage, fresh copies continued appearing everywhere, as though the message itself had become a plague spreading beyond anyone’s ability to contain.

Within less than a single day, the news of Kaelith’s death reached every major civilization throughout the universe.

And naturally, the first reaction most ordinary citizens had was complete disbelief.

Many dismissed it as fabricated Cult propaganda, while others insisted Kaelith was merely hiding himself intentionally to lure enemies into complacency.

Some claimed the footage had been manipulated through illusion techniques or advanced editing, because to them, accepting that the Eternal Sovereign had truly fallen was far harder than believing any lie.

However, reality began settling in slowly.

The Ru Clan descended into chaos almost immediately, as Ru Vassa’s absence meant that the Ru Clan at least understood the authenticity behind the Cult’s claims.

While, Kaelith not coming out publicly to deny the allegations only made the commoners panic even more.

As despite the countless attempts made by the Great Clans to contact them, neither Kaelith nor Ru Vassa ever responded, as the growing silence surrounding both Gods slowly forced the universe to accept the horrifying truth.... That the Age Of The Cult had truly begun.

"Is this really the end...?"

Some ordinary citizens questioned fearfully while riots gradually spread throughout several Righteous Alliance worlds.

"Is the Evil Cult actually going to win?"

Some questioned, while others immediately began preparing escape plans toward neutral planets and isolated non-mana worlds far away from the coming conflict.

Meanwhile, more pragmatic individuals accepted the changing tide faster than others, quietly positioning themselves for survival beneath the new order before it formally arrived at their doorstep.

Because whether they liked it or not, the balance ruling the universe had already shifted permanently.

And everyone understood the same terrifying reality now..... which was that the Cult and Leo Skyshard were now unstoppable.
