Chapter 1044: Imagination

Clovis panted heavily. He definitely recognized the last voice. It was Mara. Mara had indeed joined the Libation Fiesta. So, he couldn’t help but wonder if his wanting to make Mara join the Libation Fiesta actually came from the real world.

He realized he had found a clue all this time. Back when she encountered Christina, a system actually made her more interested in Christina.

He thought that Christina might allow him to find a clue about the system. The Elseingarde family had tremendously helped him, but he realized that Christina had never brought him a clue.

The only time the system ever appeared because of Christina was when they first met.

So, it might actually be influenced by his desire in the real world or the system had been designed in a way that Clovis would be able to gather all his people.

It didn’t necessarily require them to be a part of the Libation Fiesta, such as Vina or Hana. But their relationship would be quite close.

No, there were more important questions.

"Clovis? Are you alright? Talk to me." Melody kept shaking him. She didn’t know why Clovis was in pain all of a sudden.

Clovis tried to calm down. He was completely shaken. What if the Libation Fiesta created this world? For what reason? What about all these people around them?

"Y-Yeah. Sorry..." Clovis let out a long sigh.

"Should I call Luci?" Melody asked while lifting up the quilt.

"No need..." Clovis pinched the bridge of his nose. He wondered if he should share this information with Melody.

In the first place, he didn’t know whether this was real. It might just be a dream or a hallucination. If he told Melody about it, there was a chance it might just create unrest.

Why would he experience something like this in the first place?

Clovis let out a long sigh. "Listen. I don’t know if this is real or not. It may just be my brain filling in the missing parts, making me think something is going on. So, take it with a grain of salt.

"Do you understand?" Clovis looked at her with a serious expression.

Melody nodded.

Clovis then recalled everything from the beginning.

Melody covered her mouth in shock. "The Libation Fiesta is the one creating this world? Why?"

"I have the same question. I don’t know anything as of now. It looks like they’re making me enter this simulation world."

Melody crossed her arms. "If that’s the case, then I may indeed create this world with my code. However, we don’t know anything yet."

"Yes. It’s possible that this is the truth. As for the details, we will have to find out. So, why would it appear? Why would it come to me, not you or Luci?"

"Because you are the leader and the center of the project?"

"Maybe? But if that’s the case, how about the system? I am a player. You are supposed to be a player as well as a creator. In that case, do you remember how the system appeared for Luci?"

"Administrator?"

"That’s right. If Luci is also a part of the team that creates this world, then you should also be an administrator."

"But the system corrected itself, showing her as a player after that."

"Then, why would you not get the error?"

Melody looked down, contemplating. "I don’t know. Maybe it’s because we’re inside the tower?"

"Maybe. Right now, it’s still too confusing. If we really find more information as we enter more towers, then we can accept that this dream is real. Well, it’s not exactly a dream, I guess. After all, the voices continued ringing in my ears even after I woke up."

Melody nodded in understanding. "Do you still want to have Luci check you up?"

"I’m fine right now, so there’s no need. For now, don’t say a word to the others. I don’t know how they will react."

"Got it." Melody knew it would create unrest here. "Still, Mara really gave you her power?"

Clovis crossed his arms. He remembered Mara mentioning such a thing before. That was the reason she agreed to train him.

So, if he had to link both of them together, it might be real. Or this information might actually come because his brain registered her words before.

Unfortunately, without being able to prove whether the voices were real or not, he couldn’t make any next move.

"Now that I think about it, if I’m the focus, I should be the first player, right? However, I’m actually the second player. Who is the first player?"

Melody raised her eyebrows. "That’s a good question. Who?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Both of them fell silent before coming up with a single name. "The Prophet?"

All this time, the Prophet had been preventing anyone from learning about the special towers. Why?

Was it simply because he tried to stop anyone from learning the truth? Did he have another goal?

"Or the Prophet might have infiltrated our ranks? He might be an enemy that managed to enter this world and prevented you from waking up. After all, you were supposed to be our leader, and Jay was doing his best to protect the city..."

"Good imagination. Unfortunately, there’s no way to figure out what’s truly going on." Clovis shook his head helplessly.

"Well, I tried. I guess we can’t really reach a conclusion. There are only endless possibilities." Melody sighed. "Still, the special tower might give us a clue. Don’t forget to tell me if there is another dream like that."

"For now, only you will know about this until I’m sure what I’m dealing with." Clovis waved his hand. "Still, people might have awakened their special powers in the real world. We don’t know what it is yet, but the situation might actually be similar to this simulation world."

"Should we assume that it’s something like this moving forward?"

"No need. Just think as if we had never discussed it. I don’t want it to influence my decision until I’m sure what it is."
