Are You Crazy? You're Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?-Chapter 241: Weapons! Only Weapons Can Make Wang Yun Risk His Life!
Seeing Brother Hu so anxious, Little Gang and Wang Zi hung their heads in silence. They even wondered what they would do if something had really happened to Wang Yun. Should they avenge their leader? Or complete the unfinished business he left behind? The atmosphere grew heavy and oppressive. The abandoned building, open to the elements, felt even more desolate.
Just as everyone was fretting, footsteps echoed in the stairwell. Instantly, the three of them looked up, staring into the dark hallway.
“Boss!”
“Boss, you’re back!”
When Wang Yun walked in, it was like a beacon of hope in the darkness. They rushed over, grabbing and inspecting him from head to toe.
Seeing their anxious expressions, Wang Yun was a bit puzzled.
“What’s wrong with you guys? You look like you’ve lost your souls.”
As soon as Wang Yun said this, Brother Hu’s tears began to fall.
“What the heck, what’s this about?” Wang Yun exclaimed, stepping back in surprise. It was the first time he’d seen Brother Hu cry.
“Brother Hu was scared something might’ve happened to you, so he’s been worrying the whole time,” Little Gang said quickly, setting a makeshift brick stool next to Wang Yun and asking cheerfully, “But you’re alright, Boss. So, did you gain anything from your little outing?”
Brother Hu wiped his tears and calmed down.
“Little Gang said a young man got hit by a car today. Boss, was that you?”
Wang Yun nodded. “Seems news travels fast. It was me. I wasn’t hit, I just wanted to lure out our enemies.”
“Did it work?” Brother Hu asked immediately.
Wang Yun leisurely sat down and took a bite of a freshly washed cucumber from the ground, his movements relaxed.
“Of course. Your Boss took action, and those guys are taken care of. We’ll move tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?”
The three of them were stunned by Wang Yun’s words. He had originally said they’d wait three days. Now it was happening sooner.
“Boss, you mean we’re going to hit their base, their hideout, tomorrow?” Little Gang asked, shocked.
Wang Yun nodded. “Yeah, the weapons will be ready by tomorrow. Get some rest tonight. This is our last day in Xiyun City. After we finish this job, we’re out of here.”

Early the next morning, Little Gang and Wang Zi were already up. They first went out to buy breakfast, then hauled several bricks back up, panting as they exercised in front of Wang Yun. Watching this, Wang Yun felt a bit helpless but didn’t stop them. Maybe they were too nervous inside and wanted to ease their tension through exercise.
Brother Hu, on the other hand, was as calm as ever. He had been with Wang Yun the longest and faced any major event without batting an eye.
Night always seemed to arrive sooner than day.

In the show headquarters.
“By the time we got there yesterday, Wang Yun was already gone,” Wang Yue said, standing at the front of the conference room, addressing the group.
Hardy, fiddling with his phone nonchalantly, glanced up at everyone. “You guys can’t seriously believe Wang Yun took down those guys all by himself, right?”
“You asked the police, didn’t you? They didn’t say anything,” Hardy continued.
He was clearly unconvinced that Wang Yun was solely responsible for the previous day’s events.
Ying Yuezi rolled her eyes at him. She had long been annoyed by Hardy’s arrogance. Even after being humiliated by Wang Yun, he still didn’t get it.
“The marbles and the chemical substances found at the crime scene, don’t you recognize them? Are your eyes so bad that even your sense of smell is gone?” Ying Yuezi’s words were harsh, reflecting her disdain.
“You!” Hardy, now agitated, sat up straight and glared at her.
“Captain Ying is right. The marbles and chemicals have been used by Wang Yun in every attack,” Wu Mingyu said, backing Ying Yuezi. “Plus, with the video from the market, it’s a hundred percent certain Wang Yun was in the vicinity. Besides him, who else could take on a dozen thugs alone?”
Hardy, hearing this, had nothing to say and continued playing with his phone.
“I have a bad feeling about this,” Wang Yue said, looking at everyone. “Wang Yun suddenly targets real criminals. Do you think he’s just out to fight crime and be an unsung hero? That’s not his style. There’s something he wants behind all this.”
As Wang Yue finished, the group fell silent, each of them realizing the truth in his words. Even Hardy put his phone away. Every move Wang Yun made was never just a coincidence or an act of goodwill.
“What could those people possibly have that Wang Yun needs?” Werner pondered aloud, seemingly asking himself and the group.
“These thugs make their money by selling drugs. They’re heartless and ruthless,” Vasda said angrily. As a medical professor, he despised such people. “Besides their worthless lives, what could they have that Wang Yun would want?”
“Weapons.”
“Firearms.”
“Explosives.”
As Vasda finished speaking, Ying Yuezi, Wu Mingyu, and Wang Yue all said simultaneously. The group was taken aback.
“No way! You can’t be serious,” Hardy said, slowly getting up, his face showing disbelief. The rest of the group was equally shocked.
“Exactly. The only thing that could make Wang Yun risk everything would be these,” Wu Mingyu said. “If he gets his hands on these weapons, the next step…”
The next step would be an attack on them. Wu Mingyu didn’t need to spell it out, everyone understood.
“Alert! Full alert immediately!” Wu Mingyu commanded. “Mobilize all your men. Full city lockdown. Do not leave the headquarters. Be cautious of anyone approaching. Fingerprint locks and infrared detectors are to be on standby 24/7. Deploy all helicopters and firepower.”
Wu Mingyu’s authority was clear, and the group instinctively saw him as their leader.
“Got it! I’ll arrange it immediately,” Wang Yue responded first, standing up and leaving at once.
She had developed a serious fear of Wang Yun, knowing that there was nothing Wang Yun couldn’t achieve. The others also began making arrangements, though Hardy moved more slowly.
Just as everyone was leaving, a staff member entered, followed by two middle-aged men. The two men were dressed unusually, with white veils on their heads and their bodies wrapped tightly, leaving only their eyes exposed.
“Captain Wu, let me introduce you to the new show inspectors,” the staff member said to Wu Mingyu.
The two men placed a hand on their chests and bowed to Wu Mingyu, a gesture of respect in their culture.
