Carnivals: Claimed By The Deranged Alpha Prince [BL]-Chapter 209: Trapped
Chapter 209: Trapped
Jules’ pov
"You don’t have anything on me." I told him, making to walk past him before he could respond but he blocked my path again.
"Even you don’t believe that. You already looked scared for someone who apparently has no secrets." He drawled and I breathed out slowly, trying to regulate my racing heartbeat.
"If you know my secret; go ahead and tell me." I snapped, breathing a little harder but he only laughed before shaking his head.
"I don’t think I need to do that, since you know exactly what I’m talking about." As he spoke, I instantly felt sick to my stomach as I watched his eyes twinkle dangerously.
Could he really know my secret? That I’m currently hiding away here and taking my identity? And that I’m actually a warlock. Could he really know any of that?
He couldn’t, could he?
"You’ve just outrightly proven that you’re nothing but a lowlife manipulator." I hurled at him before I could stop myself. When he reached out to touch my chin, I pulled away at once, eyes flashing at him with anger but he only chuckled.
"Really? You want us to do this right now? I’m the low life between the two of us... but at least I’m not faking my identity like some people." He drawled, voice growing lower at the end of his sentence and I felt the color slowly drain out of my face.
Oh gods. He really does know my secret!
My heart pounded fast against my ribs as I blinked up at him and I tried to stop myself from giving too much away as I wordlessly stepped around him, heading for the door, and this time, he didn’t bother to stop me.
"I can still give you one more chance. You can still agree to get together with me, and no secret has to get leaked, no bad blood needs to be between us." He called out from behind me and I whirled around, a sound of disbelief spilling from my mouth. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"You’re- you’re unbelievable! I’m literally already mated to Blaze and you’re still saying I can agree to be with you?"
"A mate bond isn’t a problem, it can easily be severed. The ball is in your count in this situation." He explained and I let out another scoff before shaking my head.
"Well, I’m still gonna be with Blaze. We’re fated mates and I won’t ever leave him for a fake friend who’s actually a blackmailer." I snapped and he rolled his eyes, folding his arms.
"I was never your friend. I wanted you from the onset, I wanted to fuck you since the first time I saw you." As he spoke, he made a show of running his eyes over my body, sending a wave of disgust through me.
Blaze had said that exact same thing about Kai from the very start, and back then, I believed he was terribly wrong.
Oh how dumb I’ve been.
"You’re disgusting. Blaze asked me to stay away from you from the very start, I should have listened." As I spoke, he rolled his eyes as if he was bored.
"Perhaps you should have. Like I said, the ball is in your court. Don’t make a dumb decision because you know once this secret gets out, your entire life would get ruined." He drawled, making a show of running his eyes over my entire body again.
I whirled around without a response, closing the rest of the distance between myself and the door of the restroom. I pulled the door open and then my eyes widened, mouth falling open as my eyes landed on Xander’s.
Oh heavens. I’m completely fucked.
He slowly looked me up and down, and his eyes darted towards Kai from across my head before returning back to my face.
"So... are you gonna let me in on the secret as well?" He crooned, leaning against the doorframe and making no move to step away.
My heart was beating fast as I tried to remain calm. The restroom door is currently open, but that was pointless right now since I’m technically trapped here right now, between two predators who are fucked up in different ways.
I awkwardly cleared my throat. "I’d like to leave please." I breathed out, and then my heart flew into my throat when the grin on Xander’s face fell off, morphing into a dark scowl in the next moment.
"And why the fuck would I let you leave? Are you forgetting that we still have unfinished business between us?"
My heart was racing so fast that I almost crumbled on the ground. My mouth opened and closed a few times because nothing was coming forth.
I still tried holding my ground, because I remember that Xander had to cut his trip short and return home because Blaze beat him up. That reminder gave me a little confidence boost and I squared my jaw.
"I- I don’t want any trouble, just let me go–" I was still speaking when he suddenly stepped into the restroom and my breath literally stopped. I instantly stumbled backward to avoid making contact with his body, watching as he closed the door after him, dread instantly pooling in my stomach.
"What’s the secret you’re hiding? I’ve had a bad feeling about you from the onset and I know my intuitions are never wrong." He demanded sharply and I flinched, heart pounding erratically.
He stepped forward and I inched backwards, and then I instantly stiffened because my back connected with Kai’s chest. I had completely forgotten about him and as his hand snaked around my waist, I panicked and instantly shoved his hand off, stepping away from his chest at once.
"What do you want, Xander?" Kai asked as he gripped my arm and tugged me into his side, almost like he was protecting me from Xander.
Xander’s scowl melted away at once and the side of his lips twitched. "Perhaps I should ask you instead. What is his secret? I heard you threatening him with it. Care to tell me what it is?"
